whatsoever_o who_o have_v in_o his_o custody_n any_o good_n of_o any_o person_n who_o estate_n be_v sequester_v shall_v bring_v the_o same_o into_o the_o several_a and_o respective_a committee_n of_o sequestration_n within_o the_o say_a county_n within_o ten_o day_n after_o notice_n of_o this_o ordinance_n or_o otherwise_o within_o five_o day_n after_o the_o expiration_n of_o the_o say_v ten_o day_n pay_v ready_a money_n to_o the_o committee_n for_o the_o same_o according_a to_o such_o rate_n as_o they_o shall_v be_v appraise_v upon_o oath_n by_o two_o able_a appraisor_n appoint_v by_o the_o say_a committee_n and_o in_o default_n of_o bring_v in_o such_o good_n or_o payment_n for_o the_o same_o shall_v forfeit_v for_o every_o week_n he_o or_o they_o shall_v detain_v or_o not_o pay_v the_o same_o the_o sum_n of_o two_o shilling_n six_o penny_n for_o every_o twenty_o shilling_n worth_a of_o such_o good_n to_o the_o use_n of_o the_o commonwealth_n iii_o that_o all_o suspention_n of_o sequestration_n of_o any_o delinquent_n or_o papist_n estate_n make_v by_o the_o committee_n in_o any_o county_n or_o corporation_n without_o express_a order_n of_o both_o house_n of_o parliament_n shall_v be_v forthwith_o take_v off_o and_o clear_v and_o no_o suspension_n or_o excuse_n of_o person_n sequester_v allow_v but_o what_o be_v warrant_v by_o the_o ordinance_n of_o both_o house_n four_o that_o all_o debt_n make_v for_o good_n sell_v shall_v within_o ten_o day_n after_o this_o ordinance_n be_v pay_v in_o by_o the_o person_n owe_v the_o same_o to_o the_o treasurer_n of_o the_o several_a place_n where_o they_o be_v due_a and_o in_o default_n thereof_o the_o say_a debt_n immediate_o after_o the_o say_v ten_o day_n to_o be_v pay_v by_o the_o several_a party_n that_o or_o misdemeanour_n shall_v be_v find_v in_o any_o solicitor_n in_o the_o execution_n of_o his_o say_a office_n the_o say_a committee_n or_o any_o three_o or_o more_o of_o they_o shall_v certify_v the_o same_o unto_o the_o committee_n of_o lord_n and_o commons_o for_o sequestration_n viii_o that_o no_o treasurer_n appoint_v by_o the_o sequestrator_n shall_v be_v allow_v above_o two_o penny_n in_o the_o pound_n for_o money_n receive_v by_o he_o and_o that_o every_o committee_n and_o treasurer_n reside_v in_o the_o city_n of_o london_n or_o within_o the_o line_n of_o communication_n who_o shall_v receive_v any_o sum_n or_o sum_n of_o money_n upon_o sequestration_n shall_v pay_v the_o same_o to_o the_o treasurer_n for_o sequestration_n at_o guildhall_n london_n within_o six_o day_n after_o he_o or_o their_o receipt_n thereof_o and_o the_o committee_n and_o treasurer_n that_o be_v to_o pay_v in_o their_o money_n to_o the_o say_a treasurer_n at_o guildhall_n aforesaid_a reside_v within_o forty_o mile_n of_o london_n shall_v pay_v the_o money_n they_o receive_v within_o 15._o day_n after_o the_o receipt_n thereof_o and_o such_o committee_n and_o treasurer_n who_o live_v above_o 40._o mile_n from_o london_n shall_v within_o thirty_o day_n after_o the_o receipt_n thereof_o pay_v the_o same_o to_o the_o say_a treasurer_n under_o pain_n of_o forfeit_v two_o shilling_n six_o penny_n in_o the_o pound_n for_o every_o week_n he_o or_o they_o shall_v detain_v the_o same_o after_o the_o respective_a time_n herein_o limit_v ix_o that_o the_o several_a collector_n and_o solicitor_n for_o sequestration_n that_o have_v not_o heretofore_o pursue_v or_o shall_v not_o hereafter_o pursue_v the_o several_a ordinance_n of_o sequestration_n and_o the_o trust_n thereby_o in_o they_o repose_v shall_v be_v disalow_v upon_o their_o account_n all_o fee_n or_o sum_n of_o money_n appoint_v unto_o they_o by_o any_o ordinance_n whatsoever_o x._o that_o the_o several_a solicitor_n and_o collector_n for_o sequestration_n shall_v from_o henceforth_o keep_v several_a exact_a account_n of_o all_o good_n land_n rent_n and_o profit_v sequester_v and_o enter_v the_o same_o into_o several_a book_n of_o account_n to_o be_v keep_v for_o that_o purpose_n and_o shall_v within_o ten_o day_n

next_o after_o notice_n of_o this_o present_a ordinance_n make_v several_a book_n of_o account_n of_o all_o debt_n rent_n and_o profit_n than_o arreere_n unreceive_v and_o uncollected_a and_o of_o the_o particular_n and_o value_n of_o all_o the_o good_n land_n rent_n tenement_n and_o revenue_n of_o every_o person_n sequester_v within_o their_o several_a division_n and_o shall_v likewise_o quarterly_o make_v and_o deliver_v the_o like_a account_n unto_o the_o several_a committee_n under_o who_o they_o be_v employ_v to_o the_o end_n the_o certain_a value_n of_o the_o sequestration_n may_v be_v discover_v and_o a_o constant_a revenue_n raise_v xi_o and_o it_o be_v further_o ordain_v by_o the_o say_a lord_n and_o commons_o that_o all_o and_o every_o of_o the_o penalty_n in_o and_o by_o this_o present_a ordinance_n impose_v or_o to_o be_v inflict_v upon_o any_o person_n or_o person_n offend_v contrary_a to_o this_o ordinance_n or_o any_o article_n therein_o contain_v shall_v be_v levy_v by_o the_o say_v respective_a committee_n their_o collector_n and_o agent_n by_o distress_n and_o sale_n of_o the_o party_n good_n so_o offend_a xii_o and_o it_o be_v further_o ordain_v that_o no_o committee_n or_o committee_n whatsoever_o shall_v without_o valuable_a consideration_n dispose_v of_o any_o sequester_a good_n or_o make_v any_o loan_z thereof_o without_o the_o consent_n of_o both_o house_n of_o parliament_n xiii_o that_o all_o officer_n and_o every_o other_o person_n whatsoever_o who_o have_v detain_v in_o his_o hand_n any_o sequestration_n money_n or_o have_v receive_v any_o of_o the_o say_a money_n without_o a_o sufficient_a warrant_n for_o his_o so_o do_v and_o contrary_a to_o former_a ordinance_n shall_v bring_v in_o and_o pay_v all_o such_o money_n so_o by_o they_o detain_v or_o receive_v to_o the_o treasurer_n for_o sequestration_n at_o guildhall_n london_n within_o twenty_o day_n after_o notice_n of_o this_o ordinance_n and_o in_o default_n thereof_o shall_v forfeit_v two_o shilling_n six_o penny_n for_o every_o twenty_o shilling_n for_o every_o week_n he_o or_o they_o shall_v detain_v or_o not_o pay_v the_o same_o to_o the_o use_v aforesaid_a and_o the_o money_n so_o detain_v together_o with_o the_o say_a forfeiture_n shall_v be_v levy_v by_o the_o say_v respective_a committee_n their_o collector_n or_o agent_n by_o distress_n or_o sale_n of_o the_o party_n good_n so_o offend_a and_o where_o no_o sufficient_a distress_n can_v be_v find_v the_o party_n so_o offend_v to_o be_v commit_v to_o prison_n till_o the_o money_n be_v pay_v as_o aforesaid_a xiiii_o and_o it_o be_v further_o ordain_v that_o for_o the_o prevention_n of_o all_o fraudulent_a and_o indirect_a deal_n and_o for_o the_o present_a and_o future_a satisfaction_n of_o the_o kingdom_n all_o treasurer_n and_o collector_n in_o the_o associate_v county_n under_o the_o command_n of_o the_o right_n honourable_a edward_n earl_n of_o manchester_n as_o also_o in_o the_o county_n of_o kent_n and_o surrey_n where_o by_o several_a ordinance_n of_o parliament_n they_o have_v power_n to_o detain_v one_o three_o part_n of_o all_o the_o sequestation_n money_n within_o the_o say_a county_n for_o the_o better_a maintain_v of_o the_o force_n by_o they_o raise_v respective_o for_o the_o preservation_n of_o the_o parliament_n and_o kingdom_n shall_v bring_v in_o to_o the_o treasurer_n of_o sequestration_n at_o guildhall_n london_n every_o three_o month_n or_o often_o if_o they_o shall_v be_v thereunto_o require_v a_o exact_a account_n of_o all_o the_o sequestration_n money_n by_o they_o receive_v and_o issue_v out_o for_o the_o three_o part_n as_o aforesaid_a or_o otherwise_o and_o produce_v receipt_n for_o the_o same_o to_o the_o end_n the_o say_a treasurer_n at_o guildhall_n may_v keep_v account_n of_o all_o the_o sequestration_n money_n as_o by_o former_a ordinance_n be_v ordain_v and_o to_o take_v care_n that_o the_o say_v money_n be_v equal_o divide_v and_o apply_v as_o by_o the_o say_a ordinance_n be_v intend_v and_o that_o the_o like_a course_n be_v to_o be_v observe_v by_o all_o particular_a man_n for_o all_o sequestration_n money_n they_o shall_v receive_v in_o any_o county_n or_o place_n under_o the_o power_n or_o command_n of_o the_o parliament_n by_o virtue_n of_o any_o particular_a ordinance_n obtain_v by_o they_o that_o they_o may_v receive_v no_o more_o than_o be_v intend_v and_o appoint_v by_o their_o several_a ordinance_n respective_o xv._o and_o it_o be_v further_o ordain_v that_o john_n madden_n gentleman_n shall_v be_v a_o general_n solicitor_n for_o the_o better_a execution_n of_o this_o and_o the_o former_a ordinance_n of_o sequestration_n and_o be_v hereby_o authorize_v to_o keep_v due_a correspondence_n with_o all_o committee_n solicitor_n treasurer_n collector_n and_o other_o officer_n employ_v about_o the_o sequestration_n and_o shall_v give_v his_o best_a advice_n and_o
