same_o spirit_n which_o vary_v from_o the_o same_o in_o word_n but_o this_o be_v require_v of_o we_o that_o none_o shall_v look_v for_o seek_v or_o ask_v any_o other_o thing_n at_o all_o then_o that_o which_o be_v brief_o comprehend_v in_o this_o prayer_n &_o which_o though_o it_o differ_v in_o word_n yet_o differ_v not_o in_o sense_n &_o substance_n like_v as_o it_o be_v certain_a that_o all_o the_o prayer_n which_o be_v find_v in_o the_o scripture_n &_o which_o do_v continual_o proceed_v from_o the_o hart_n of_o the_o faithful_a be_v refer_v by_o the_o direction_n of_o god_n spirit_n unto_o this_o prayer_n howsoever_o they_o differ_v in_o the_o variety_n of_o word_n many_o good_a and_o godly_a man_n even_o in_o our_o day_n well_o exercise_v in_o prayer_n have_v leave_v unto_o we_o most_o worthy_a example_n and_o testimony_n hereof_o furnish_v with_o ample_a and_o large_a matter_n to_o form_v holy_a and_o true_a prayer_n and_o full_a of_o power_n to_o inflame_v the_o heart_n thing_n that_o not_o king_n in_o deed_n can_v full_o sit_v it_o but_o only_o god_n who_o thou_o the_o mind_n full_o possess_v when_o it_o full_o know_v he_o full_o love_v he_o and_o in_o all_o thing_n in_o frame_v after_o his_o mill_n they_o therefore_o dear_a lord_n god_n that_o be_v thy_o child_n and_o have_v take_v somewhat_o of_o thy_o goodness_n do_v perpetual_o sigh_v that_o be_v do_v may_v the_o increase_n of_o thy_o spirit_n and_o sometime_o when_o they_o see_v thy_o glory_n more_o put_v back_o than_o it_o be_v wont_a to_o be_v either_o in_o themselves_o or_o in_o any_o other_o then_o be_v they_o much_o more_o disquiet_v and_o vex_v but_o because_o they_o know_v that_o thou_o do_v rule_v all_o thing_n after_o thy_o good_a will_n and_o that_o none_o other_o can_v help_v they_o in_o their_o need_n they_o oftentimes_o do_v go_v aside_o all_o business_n lay_v apart_o and_o give_v themselves_o to_o godly_a cogitation_n &_o talk_v with_o thou_o complain_v to_o thou_o as_o to_o their_o father_n of_o those_o thing_n that_o grieve_v they_o beg_v thereto_o and_o that_o most_o earnest_o thy_o help_n not_o only_o for_o themselves_o but_o also_o for_o other_o special_o for_o those_o who_o singular_o they_o embrace_v in_o thou_o and_o often_o do_v repeat_v and_o remember_v thy_o gracious_a benefit_n both_o to_o other_o and_o to_o themselves_o also_o where_o through_o they_o be_v provoke_v to_o render_v to_o thou_o hearty_a thanks_n theirby_o be_v inflame_v as_o well_o assure_o to_o hope_v well_o of_o thy_o good_a will_n towards_o they_o and_o patient_o to_o bear_v all_o evil_n as_o also_o to_o study_v and_o labour_n to_o mortify_v the_o affection_n of_o the_o flesh_n and_o to_o order_v all_o their_o whole_a life_n to_o the_o service_n of_o their_o brethren_n and_o to_o the_o set_v forth_o of_o thy_o glory_n this_o they_o know_v be_v that_o prayer_n which_o thy_o son_n jesus_n christ_n our_o lord_n command_v to_o be_v make_v to_o thou_o in_o the_o chamber_n the_o door_n be_v shut_v in_o this_o kind_n of_o prayer_n he_o himself_o do_v watch_v often_o even_o all_o the_o whole_a night_n herein_o be_v paul_n frequent_v as_o all_o the_o saint_n they_o use_v the_o benefit_n give_v they_o before_o they_o ask_v thereby_o not_o only_o provoke_v they_o to_o ask_v more_o but_o also_o certify_v their_o faith_n that_o if_o thou_o be_v so_o good_a to_o grant_v they_o many_o thing_n unasked_a now_o thou_o will_v not_o deny_v they_o any_o thing_n they_o ask_v to_o thy_o glory_n and_o their_o wealth_n last_o of_o all_o they_o use_v the_o read_n and_o weigh_v of_o psalm_n and_o other_o good_a prayer_n because_o they_o know_v that_o thereby_o peculiarlie_o beside_o the_o other_o scripture_n there_o be_v no_o small_a helpeâ—_n as_o may_v appear_v by_o paul_n ephes_n â—_o whereby_o he_o will_v the_o congregation_n to_o use_v psalm_n hiâ—â—es_n and_o spiritual_a song_n but_o so_o that_o in_o the_o heart_n we_o will_v sing_v and_o say_v they_o not_o that_o thy_o child_n do_v not_o use_v their_o tongue_n and_o word_n in_o pray_v to_o thou_o for_o they_o do_v use_v their_o tongue_n speech_n and_o word_n to_o stir_v up_o their_o inward_a desire_n and_o fervency_n of_o the_o mind_n full_o well_o know_v that_o else_o it_o be_v a_o plain_a mock_n of_o thou_o to_o pray_v with_o lip_n and_o tongue_n only_o oh_o that_o i_o may_v feel_v now_o the_o spirit_n so_o to_o affect_v i_o that_o both_o with_o heart_n and_o mouth_n i_o may_v hearty_o and_o in_o faith_n pray_v unto_o thou_o now_o concern_v the_o thing_n that_o be_v to_o be_v pray_v for_o thy_o child_n know_v that_o the_o prayer_n teach_v by_o thy_o son_n most_o sure_o and_o plain_o do_v contain_v the_o same_o and_o therefore_o they_o often_o use_v it_o first_o ask_v of_o thou_o their_o heavenly_a father_n through_o christ_n that_o thy_o name_n may_v every_o where_o be_v have_v in_o holiness_n and_o praise_n then_o that_o thy_o kingdom_n by_o regeneration_n &_o the_o ministry_n of_o the_o gospel_n may_v come_v &_o so_o three_o that_o willing_o perfect_o and_o perpetual_a they_o may_v study_v to_o do_v yea_o do_v indeed_o thy_o will_n with_o thy_o holy_a and_o heavenly_a angel_n and_o spirit_n these_o thing_n they_o seek_v and_o pray_v for_o namely_o thy_o kingdom_n and_o thy_o rigâ—hteousnesse_n before_o any_o worldly_a benefit_n after_o which_o petition_n because_o all_o thing_n yea_o even_o the_o benefit_n of_o this_o present_a life_n do_v come_v from_o thou_o they_o do_v godly_a desire_v the_o same_o under_o the_o name_n of_o daily_a to_o come_v 〈◊〉_d thy_o mercy_n in_o the_o other_o petition_n they_o prair_v for_o thing_n to_o be_v take_v from_o they_o begin_v with_o forgiveness_n of_o sin_n which_o be_v impudent_o pray_v for_o if_o that_o their_o heart_n be_v not_o so_o break_v that_o they_o can_v forgive_v all_o thing_n to_o all_o man_n for_o their_o part_n they_o add_v their_o profession_n that_o be_v charytie_n whereby_o they_o profess_v that_o they_o have_v forgive_v all_o offence_n do_v to_o they_o how_o be_v it_o because_o it_o be_v not_o enough_o to_o have_v pardon_n of_o that_o which_o be_v past_a except_o they_o be_v preserve_v from_o new_a offence_n they_o pray_v thou_o not_o to_o kind_n they_o into_o temptation_n by_o permit_v they_o to_o the_o perverse_a suggestion_n of_o satan_n but_o rather_o to_o deliver_v they_o from_o his_o importunity_n and_o power_n understanding_n satan_n the_o author_n of_o all_o evil_a oh_o dear_a god_n that_o thou_o will_v endue_v i_o with_o thy_o spirit_n of_o grace_n and_o prayer_n with_o thy_o child_n accord_o to_o make_v this_o prayer_n always_o whensoever_o i_o do_v pray_v as_o for_o outward_a evil_n so_o long_o as_o they_o do_v not_o as_o it_o be_v enforce_v thy_o people_n to_o sin_n in_o that_o christian_a perfection_n do_v account_v they_o amongst_o thy_o benefit_n thy_o son_n have_v not_o teach_v thy_o church_n to_o pray_v for_o the_o take_v away_o of_o they_o in_o their_o prayer_n for_o here_o he_o have_v contain_v but_o those_o thing_n for_o the_o which_o all_o christian_n general_o and_o particular_o may_v of_o faith_n pray_v at_o all_o time_n it_o often_o come_v to_o pass_v that_o exterior_a evil_n because_o they_o be_v not_o evil_n indeed_o that_o be_v they_o be_v not_o against_o god_n grace_n in_o we_o therefore_o they_o can_v of_o faith_n be_v pray_v for_o to_o be_v take_v away_o for_o thy_o child_n that_o have_v faith_n do_v always_o prefer_v thy_o judgement_n before_o their_o own_o the_o which_o judgement_n when_o they_o know_v by_o that_o which_o happen_v to_o they_o they_o submit_v themselves_o thereto_o whole_o although_o the_o spirit_n make_v his_o unspeakable_a groan_n to_o help_v their_o infirmity_n by_o prayer_n not_o to_o have_v they_o take_v away_o but_o that_o they_o may_v have_v strength_n and_o patience_n to_o bear_v the_o burden_n according_o which_o burden_n if_o it_o be_v too_o heavy_a in_o
