day_n utter_o unlawful_a and_o forbid_a yea_o and_o i_o think_v the_o reason_n stand_v more_o strong_o against_o they_o for_o as_o from_o that_o levit._fw-la 19_o 15._o thou_o shall_v not_o favour_v the_o poor_a in_o judgement_n a_o man_n may_v imply_v a_o portion_n from_o the_o strong_a that_o he_o must_v then_o much_o less_o favour_n the_o rich_a so_o here_o thou_o may_v not_o do_v any_o work_n will_n some_o one_o demand_n shall_v we_o have_v time_n for_o recreation_n if_o not_o upon_o the_o sabbath_n if_o thou_o will_v have_v time_n for_o that_o allow_v part_n of_o thy_o own_o for_o that_o be_v thy_o work_n and_o therefore_o thou_o must_v allow_v part_n of_o thy_o time_n to_o do_v it_o in_o but_o god_n time_n thou_o may_v not_o for_o that_o he_o have_v reserve_v for_o his_o own_o business_n let_v i_o ask_v thou_o one_o question_n if_o thou_o shall_v allow_v unto_o thy_o seruamt_v of_o thy_o six_o day_n five_o whole_a day_n to_o do_v his_o business_n and_o to_o recreate_v recreation_n of_o the_o sabbath_n for_o what_o can_v recreate_v or_o refresh_v a_o man_n more_o than_o to_o drink_v of_o the_o water_n of_o life_n what_o can_v glad_v a_o man_n more_o than_o to_o hear_v of_o the_o forgiveness_n of_o his_o sin_n to_o one_o that_o be_v in_o prison_n fast_o bind_v in_o fetter_n what_o great_a recreation_n than_o to_o hear_v of_o his_o enlargement_n and_o what_o great_a comfort_n than_o to_o come_v unto_o the_o seal_n of_o his_o pardon_n and_o be_v these_o thing_n offer_v unto_o we_o upon_o the_o sabbath_n and_o yet_o do_v we_o like_o child_n run_v after_o butterfly_n and_o let_v these_o thing_n alone_o if_o we_o do_v it_o well_o show_v that_o since_o we_o be_v create_v we_o never_o be_v yet_o recreated_a and_o bear_v again_o for_o if_o we_o be_v the_o enjoy_n of_o these_o thing_n will_v be_v unto_o we_o above_o all_o the_o recreation_n in_o the_o world_n but_o then_o here_o it_o will_v be_v demand_v of_o i_o unlawful_a not_o all_o recreation_n at_o all_o time_n upon_o the_o sabbath_n unlawful_a whether_o i_o do_v utter_o disallow_v all_o recreation_n upon_o the_o sabbath_n not_o so_o neither_o for_o it_o may_v sometime_o come_v so_o to_o pass_v that_o recreation_n may_v be_v more_o necessary_a for_o a_o man_n than_o his_o meat_n as_o also_o it_o may_v so_o fall_v in_o the_o week_n day_n yea_o and_o sometime_o the_o settle_n of_o a_o man_n mind_n free_a such_o be_v partly_o the_o corruption_n and_o partly_o the_o weakness_n of_o our_o nature_n may_v be_v a_o furtherance_n unto_o we_o in_o the_o performance_n of_o the_o duty_n of_o godliness_n as_o well_o as_o in_o other_o duty_n of_o our_o own_o and_o therefore_o so_o far_o forth_o as_o it_o be_v either_o of_o necessity_n for_o the_o present_a preservation_n of_o our_o health_n or_o of_o necessity_n for_o the_o present_a furtherance_n and_o fit_v of_o we_o unto_o the_o service_n of_o god_n we_o may_v use_v it_o but_o by_o this_o allowance_n will_v some_o say_v evil_a man_n will_v take_v liberty_n unto_o themselves_o under_o these_o pretence_n to_o profane_v the_o sabbath_n by_o their_o sport_n answ_n it_o may_v well_o be_v so_o that_o they_o which_o stumble_v at_o christ_n to_o their_o ruin_n and_o they_o that_o wrest_v his_o word_n to_o their_o own_o condemnation_n will_v also_o wrest_v this_o liberty_n to_o bring_v themselves_o into_o the_o bondage_n of_o sin_n yet_o must_v not_o this_o let_v we_o to_o give_v that_o allowance_n unto_o god_n child_n which_o he_o have_v leave_v he_o in_o his_o word_n but_o as_o for_o such_o as_o abuse_v their_o liberty_n i_o admonish_v they_o in_o the_o fear_n of_o god_n that_o they_o make_v not_o god_n commandment_n like_o chevril_n lace_n to_o stretch_v they_o every_o way_n to_o their_o own_o bent_n and_o purpose_n for_o if_o they_o do_v i_o appeal_v unto_o the_o high_a judge_n of_o all_o the_o earth_n that_o they_o have_v no_o such_o liberty_n give_v they_o and_o therefore_o if_o they_o take_v it_o their_o blood_n be_v upon_o their_o own_o head_n if_o they_o bring_v themselves_o by_o their_o liberty_n to_o be_v the_o son_n of_o bondage_n but_o as_o for_o the_o child_n of_o god_n i_o know_v they_o will_v and_o shall_v finish_v their_o salvation_n with_o fear_n and_o tremble_a and_o thus_o we_o have_v see_v how_o these_o work_n of_o recreation_n be_v also_o forbid_v we_o upon_o the_o sabbath_n §_o sect._n 2_o the_o three_o sort_n of_o work_n which_o be_v here_o forbid_v we_o be_v our_o sport_n which_o common_o we_o sabbath_n pastime_n unlawful_a upon_o the_o sabbath_n call_v pastime_n which_o indeed_o though_o they_o be_v but_o recreation_n in_o their_o own_o nature_n yet_o as_o wine_n by_o his_o long_a stand_n become_v vinegar_n so_o do_v these_o sport_n and_o recreation_n by_o the_o excessive_a use_n or_o rather_o abuse_v of_o they_o become_v sinful_a that_o be_v when_o we_o use_v they_o not_o to_o make_v ourselves_o thereby_o fit_a to_o redeem_v time_n which_o the_o apostle_n require_v but_o rather_o to_o spend_v time_n and_o vain_o to_o pass_v it_o and_o therefore_o if_o the_o former_a be_v unlawful_a which_o do_v after_o a_o sort_n build_v up_o a_o man_n then_o how_o much_o more_o these_o that_o destroy_v a_o man_n who_o by_o the_o excessive_a use_n of_o they_o be_v make_v unfit_a unto_o the_o performance_n of_o any_o duty_n of_o which_o sort_n of_o pastime_n be_v stage-play_n card_n and_o dice-playing_a upon_o the_o sabbath_n as_o also_o bear-baiting_n cockpit_n and_o such_o like_a all_o which_o in_o particular_a to_o confute_v be_v
