the_o sum_n of_o religion_n and_o believe_v true_o in_o christ_n it_o be_v not_o to_o be_v require_v precise_o that_o the_o child_n answer_v feat_o concern_v the_o word_n for_o it_o chance_v often_o that_o they_o which_o be_v well_o instruct_v in_o the_o knowledge_n of_o faith_n can_v not_o very_o handsome_o utter_v the_o thing_n that_o they_o mean_v chief_o in_o a_o open_a place_n either_o for_o shame_n or_o some_o other_o weakness_n of_o mind_n wherefore_o we_o must_v more_o regard_v which_o child_n true_o understande_v the_o thing_n that_o perteine_a to_o religion_n than_o which_o can_v feat_o declare_v they_o with_o word_n wherein_o those_o excellent_a moor_n often_o which_o have_v less_o godly_a mind_n now_o further_o when_o the_o child_n which_o shall_v be_v confirm_v have_v confess_v their_o faith_n and_o profess_v the_o obedience_n of_o the_o gospel_n the_o congregation_n must_v be_v warn_v that_o they_o humble_o pray_v for_o these_o child_n who_o prayer_n the_o pastoure_n shall_v offer_v to_o the_o lord_n with_o such_o a_o collecte_n ❧_o the_o collecte_n almighty_a and_o merciful_a god_n heavenly_a father_n which_o only_o work_v in_o we_o to_o will_n and_o to_o perform_v the_o thing_n that_o please_v the_o and_o be_v good_a in_o deed_n we_o beseech_v the_o for_o these_o child_n who_o thou_o have_v give_v to_o thy_o church_n and_o have_v beget_v again_o to_o thyself_o by_o holy_a baptism_n and_o in_o who_o thou_o haste_v pour_v that_o light_n that_o they_o acknowledge_v and_o confess_v before_o the_o congregation_n thy_o grace_n and_o benifitte_v towards_o themselves_o and_o their_o redemption_n in_o christ_n jesu_n and_o will_v whole_o give_v over_o then selue_o to_o the_o and_o thy_o congregation_n to_o be_v obedient_a to_o thy_o commandment_n confirm_v this_o thy_o work_n which_o thou_o have_v wrought_v in_o they_o increase_n in_o they_o the_o gift_n of_o thy_o spirit_n that_o ever_o go_v forward_o in_o the_o knowledge_n and_o obedience_n of_o thy_o gospel_n in_o thy_o congregation_n they_o may_v continue_v to_o the_o end_n and_o that_o they_o go_v not_o where_o aside_o from_o that_o faith_n and_o obedience_n of_o the_o gospel_n which_o they_o have_v now_o confess_v and_o profess_v be_v seduce_v through_o some_o perverse_a doctrine_n or_o dryven_v forth_o by_o the_o lust_n of_o the_o flesh_n grant_v they_o that_o they_o lucky_o spring_v up_o in_o thy_o son_n our_o lord_n jesu_n christ_n the_o head_n of_o we_o all_o may_v grow_v into_o he_o till_o they_o come_v to_o man_n age_n full_o and_o perfect_o in_o all_o wisdom_n holiness_n and_o rightuousnes_n that_o they_o may_v more_o full_o know_v and_o more_o fervent_o love_v the_o the_o father_n and_o thy_o son_n our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n and_o that_o they_o may_v confess_v exhalt_v and_o magnify_v the_o same_o more_o earnest_o and_o effectuous_o before_o their_o neighbour_n both_o in_o word_n and_o deed_n and_o as_o thou_o haste_v promise_v we_o that_o thou_o will_v give_v we_o what_o so_o ever_o we_o shall_v ask_v of_o the_o in_o the_o name_n of_o thy_o dear_a son_n &_o as_o thy_o son_n promise_v we_o that_o thou_o will_v gyve_v we_o
