worse_o than_o in_o truth_n they_o be_v because_o we_o can_v certain_o tell_v with_o what_o mind_n they_o be_v do_v and_o what_o circumstance_n there_o may_v be_v to_o excuse_v or_o aggravate_v they_o how_o strong_a the_o temptation_n be_v or_o how_o weak_a the_o judgement_n of_o he_o that_o be_v seduce_v by_o it_o into_o error_n and_o folly_n but_o we_o be_v conscious_a to_o all_o the_o secret_a spring_n and_o motive_n and_o circumstance_n of_o our_o own_o action_n we_o can_v descend_v into_o our_o own_o heart_n and_o dive_v to_o the_o bottom_n of_o they_o and_o search_v into_o the_o most_o retire_a corner_n of_o our_o intention_n and_o end_n which_o none_o beside_o ourselves_o but_o only_o god_n can_v do_v for_o except_v he_o only_o none_o know_v the_o thing_n of_o a_o man_n but_o the_o have_v a_o conscientious_a regard_n to_o the_o whole_a compass_n of_o our_o duty_n and_o with_o st._n paul_n let_v we_o exercise_n to_o have_v always_o a_o conscience_n void_a of_o offence_n towards_o god_n and_o towards_o man_n and_o let_v we_o never_o do_v any_o thing_n whereby_o we_o shall_v offer_v violence_n to_o the_o light_n of_o our_o mind_n god_n have_v give_v we_o this_o principle_n to_o be_v our_o constant_a guide_n and_o companion_n and_o whoever_o after_o due_a care_n to_o inform_v himself_o aright_o do_v sincere_o follow_v the_o dictate_v and_o direction_n of_o this_o guide_n shall_v never_o fatal_o miscarry_v but_o whoever_o go_v against_o the_o clear_a dictate_v and_o conviction_n of_o his_o conscience_n in_o so_o do_v he_o undermine_v the_o foundation_n of_o his_o own_o may_v make_v it_o up_o by_o repentance_n and_o may_v get_v our_o conscience_n clear_v of_o guilt_n by_o pardon_n and_o forgiveness_n and_o if_o we_o do_v not_o do_v this_o we_o can_v with_o confidence_n rely_v upon_o the_o testimony_n of_o our_o conscience_n because_o many_o great_a sin_n may_v slip_v out_o of_o our_o memory_n without_o a_o particular_a repentance_n for_o they_o which_o yet_o do_v require_v and_o stand_v in_o need_n of_o a_o particular_a repentance_n especial_o we_o shall_v search_v our_o conscience_n more_o narrow_o at_o these_o more_o solemn_a time_n of_o repentance_n and_o when_o we_o be_v prepare_v ourselves_o to_o receive_v the_o holy_a sacrament_n and_o if_o at_o these_o time_n our_o heart_n do_v accuse_v and_o condemn_v we_o for_o any_o thing_n we_o shall_v not_o only_o hearty_o lament_v and_o bewail_v it_o before_o god_n but_o sincere_o resolve_v by_o god_n grace_n to_o reform_v
