such_o place_n where_o he_o have_v authouritie_n here_o than_o we_o see_v that_o god_n charge_v the_o master_n of_o the_o family_n with_o all_o in_o the_o family_n he_o say_v not_o you_o servant_n then_o second_o this_o serve_v for_o the_o instruction_n of_o all_o householder_n that_o desire_v to_o be_v indeed_o as_o well_o as_o to_o be_v account_v christian_n that_o they_o shall_v have_v a_o eye_n to_o their_o servant_n in_o the_o keep_n of_o the_o sabbath_n even_o as_o one_o the_o week_n day_n they_o will_v call_v they_o up_o and_o see_v that_o they_o be_v ready_a to_o their_o business_n so_o on_o the_o sabbath_n call_v they_o up_o in_o the_o morning_n &_o see_v that_o they_o be_v ready_a for_o the_o work_n of_o god_n especial_o since_o the_o work_n of_o their_o call_n be_v such_o as_o they_o may_v do_v without_o any_o great_a preparation_n a_o man_n may_v rise_v out_o of_o his_o bed_n and_o go_v straight_o and_o hold_v the_o plough_n or_o drive_v the_o cart_n as_o well_o as_o if_o he_o have_v a_o hour_n consideration_n but_o unless_o one_o have_v sometime_o to_o disburden_v his_o hart_n of_o worldly_a thought_n and_o to_o fit_v himself_o by_o prayer_n &_o holy_a meditation_n to_o hear_v the_o word_n he_o can_v never_o do_v it_o well_o nor_o so_o as_o the_o word_n will_v be_v profitable_a unto_o he_o therefore_o they_o must_v be_v stir_v up_o that_o they_o may_v have_v time_n to_o make_v ready_a their_o heart_n that_o they_o come_v before_o god_n with_o a_o quiet_a a_o empty_a mind_n now_o in_o this_o duty_n many_o of_o god_n child_n fail_v that_o even_o themselves_o and_o their_o whole_a family_n take_v liberty_n to_o sleep_v out_o a_o great_a part_n of_o the_o morning_n and_o think_v it_o enough_o to_o rise_v and_o go_v to_o church_n not_o regard_v any_o time_n of_o preparation_n and_o hence_o it_o be_v that_o the_o exercise_n be_v so_o uncomfortable_a and_o unprofitable_a to_o they_o and_o then_o secondlie_o the_o master_n must_v be_v careful_a to_o have_v his_o family_n come_v with_o he_o in_o good_a &_o due_a season_n to_o the_o house_n of_o god_n with_o the_o whole_a congregation_n not_o as_o many_o do_v that_o be_v so_o negligent_a as_o much_o be_v past_a before_o they_o come_v the_o wife_n come_v at_o the_o second_o lesson_n &_o he_o drop_v in_o at_o the_o end_n of_o prayer_n and_o the_o servant_n follow_v when_o half_o be_v do_v they_o will_v not_o do_v thus_o to_o harvest_n work_n but_o he_o will_v make_v they_o get_v all_o thing_n ready_a that_o they_o go_v together_o to_o get_v in_o his_o corn_n and_o till_o the_o end_n that_o they_o may_v have_v the_o whole_a fruit_n and_o not_o as_o some_o do_v be_v go_v before_o the_o sermon_n end_n or_o at_o least_o run_v away_o before_o the_o prayer_n be_v make_v for_o a_o blessing_n and_o the_o blessing_n pronounce_v by_o the_o minister_n which_o show_v they_o never_o feel_v the_o goodness_n of_o the_o blessing_n they_o be_v so_o loath_a to_o tarry_v the_o minister_n prayer_n because_o they_o want_v the_o spirit_n of_o prayer_n themselves_o and_o can_v tell_v the_o benefit_n of_o a_o faithful_a prayer_n for_o if_o the_o sweetness_n of_o god_n of_o these_o thing_n than_o they_o be_v and_o not_o haste_v so_o from_o they_o as_o if_o it_o be_v a_o curse_n not_o a_o blessing_n and_o some_o thing_n tend_v to_o their_o hurt_n not_o a_o supplication_n to_o god_n for_o their_o good_a and_o as_o they_o must_v call_v they_o up_o in_o the_o morning_n so_o a_o other_o duty_n be_v to_o examine_v they_o after_o and_o call_v they_o to_o account_v how_o they_o have_v profit_v as_o if_o man_n servant_n be_v send_v to_o the_o market_n they_o will_v not_o let_v they_o go_v without_o take_v account_n how_o they_o have_v do_v their_o business_n and_o what_o market_n they_o have_v make_v so_o when_o they_o come_v from_o the_o church_n they_o come_v from_o the_o market_n of_o their_o soul_n they_o shall_v question_v with_o they_o to_o see_v what_o good_a bargain_n they_o have_v make_v for_o their_o soul_n what_o profit_n they_o have_v have_v by_o come_v to_o god_n ordinance_n and_o thus_o lay_v their_o store_n together_o to_o there_o a_o end_n what_o need_v all_o this_o do_v about_o keep_v the_o sabbath_n and_o come_v to_o the_o sermon_n let_v i_o look_v to_o that_o myself_o nay_o but_o if_o they_o be_v god_n servant_n and_o you_o god_n servant_n your_o master_n hire_v you_o to_o do_v god_n work_v and_o in_o the_o lord_n to_o do_v their_o work_n therefore_o this_o be_v a_o profane_a answer_n and_o these_o be_v ill_a if_o no_o mean_n will_v serve_v a_o christian_n master_n must_v not_o have_v his_o house_n pester_v with_o such_o open_a rebel_n against_o god_n thus_o much_o god_n show_v the_o duty_n of_o christian_n householder_n that_o they_o must_v themselves_o and_o see_v that_o their_o servant_n abstain_v from_o all_o the_o work_n of_o their_o call_n and_o do_v only_a work_n of_o piety_n and_o mercy_n which_o work_v of_o mercy_n they_o must_v not_o do_v upon_o the_o lord_n day_n in_o love_n to_o their_o own_o commodity_n but_o in_o obedience_n to_o god_n and_o compassion_n of_o the_o creature_n now_o the_o lord_n go_v further_a to_o show_v what_o course_n must_v be_v take_v with_o man_n of_o a_o other_o religion_n say_v nor_o the_o strange_a that_o be_v within_o thy_o gate_n here_o he_o show_v that_o if_o a_o stranger_n come_v within_o our_o jurisdiction_n that_o be_v christian_n though_o we_o can_v command_v he_o to_o come_v to_o the_o exercise_n of_o religion_n yet_o be_v belong_v to_o we_o but_o so_o far_o as_o we_o can_v even_o to_o stranger_n or_o to_o any_o other_o and_o this_o be_v that_o which_o be_v commend_v in_o nehemiah_n that_o when_o the_o man_n of_o sidon_n that_o
draw_v as_o a_o bear_n to_o the_o stake_n let_v he_o make_v account_n that_o the_o preacher_n will_v bait_v he_o &_o trouble_v his_o conscience_n for_o comfort_n he_o can_v look_v for_o none_o opportunity_n but_o if_o we_o will_v perform_v they_o scamble_v lie_n do_v this_o and_o leave_v that_o undo_v either_o make_v no_o preparation_n before_o or_o no_o application_n after_o either_o no_o continue_v from_o the_o begin_n to_o the_o end_n as_o in_o psal_n 92._o 2._o to_o declare_v god_n love_a kindness_n in_o the_o morning_n and_o his_o truth_n at_o night_n so_o that_o the_o sabbath_n must_v be_v spend_v both_o morning_n night_n and_o all_o the_o day_n in_o holy_a duty_n one_o must_v forbear_v worldly_a business_n yea_o worldly_a thought_n the_o whole_a four_o &_o and_z twenty_o hour_n for_o if_o one_o give_v his_o thought_n liberty_n to_o run_v after_o matter_n of_o the_o world_n in_o the_o night_n he_o break_v the_o sabbath_n in_o one_o part_n sleep_v one_o may_v lawful_o or_o to_o go_v about_o their_o business_n if_o occasion_n be_v but_o he_o that_o command_v to_o keep_v it_o in_o the_o church_n bid_v we_o keep_v it_o in_o the_o house_n as_o to_o hear_v he_o and_o speak_v to_o he_o in_o public_a so_o to_o speak_v to_o he_o out_o of_o our_o heart_n in_o private_a &_o not_o to_o give_v ourselves_o leave_v to_o think_v the_o least_o thought_n of_o any_o worldly_a business_n now_o than_o we_o if_o seem_v to_o make_v conscience_n of_o the_o sabbath_n and_o yet_o do_v want_v that_o blessing_n which_o we_o do_v look_v for_o let_v we_o look_v to_o ourselves_o &_o duty_n of_o righteousness_n to_o our_o neighbour_n this_o be_v the_o first_o commandment_n of_o the_o second_o table_n upon_o which_o all_o the_o rest_n do_v depend_v as_o in_o the_o first_o table_n the_o keep_n of_o all_o the_o commandment_n follow_v do_v depend_v on_o the_o keep_n of_o the_o first_o commandment_n of_o the_o table_n so_o here_o if_o this_o first_o commandment_n be_v well_o observe_v both_o of_o governor_n and_o inferior_n there_o can_v be_v no_o disorder_n against_o any_o other_o of_o the_o commandment_n follow_v for_o all_o disorder_n in_o the_o other_o commandment_n of_o the_o second_o table_n do_v flow_v from_o hence_o that_o either_o superior_n be_v negligent_a in_o perform_v their_o duty_n of_o govern_v or_o else_o inferior_n be_v proud_a and_o stubborn_a and_o refuse_v to_o obey_v their_o superior_n the_o word_n contain_v a_o commandment_n and_o the_o reason_n of_o it_o the_o commandment_n in_o those_o word_n honour_v thy_o father_n and_o mother_n the_o reason_n in_o the_o word_n follow_v that_o thy_o day_n may_v be_v long_o in_o the_o land_n which_o the_o lord_n thy_o god_n give_v thou_o because_o the_o benefit_n of_o obedience_n be_v not_o so_o great_a to_o the_o superior_n which_o be_v obey_v as_o to_o he_o that_o do_v for_o conscience_n sake_n obey_v they_o they_o shall_v not_o be_v gainer_n so_o much_o as_o himself_o for_o he_o these_o bowel_n of_o mercy_n it_o come_v to_o pass_v that_o man_n be_v so_o hardly_o draw_v and_o hail_v to_o any_o work_n of_o mercy_n that_o it_o must_v be_v pull_v from_o they_o by_o main_a strength_n and_o so_o many_o argument_n so_o many_o reason_n so_o many_o inducement_n must_v constrain_v they_o to_o it_o before_o they_o will_v yield_v and_o then_o when_o all_o this_o be_v do_v they_o drop_n out_o with_o a_o thing_n of_o nothing_o nothing_o to_o the_o purpose_n and_o those_o that_o be_v bountiful_a and_o liberal_a enough_o in_o matter_n of_o vanity_n and_o lust_n be_v so_o holdfast_v and_o spare_v for_o work_n of_o mercy_n that_o one_o can_v hardly_o wring_v a_o penny_n from_o they_o by_o all_o the_o persuasion_n he_o can_v make_v and_o what_o be_v the_o matter_n they_o be_v so_o slow_a and_o unwilling_a because_o they_o have_v not_o nor_o will_v not_o have_v any_o sense_n of_o other_o man_n misery_n but_o put_v away_o all_o consideration_n and_o regard_n of_o these_o thing_n and_o give_v themselves_o holy_a to_o pleasure_n and_o therefore_o in_o these_o matter_n they_o will_v cost_v they_o many_o tear_n and_o bring_v they_o no_o good_a hereafter_o but_o much_o sorrow_n they_o care_v not_o how_o far_o they_o run_v and_o what_o charge_n and_o expense_n they_o be_v at_o but_o for_o work_v of_o mercy_n and_o duty_n of_o compassion_n that_o will_v further_o their_o reckon_n and_o comfort_v their_o soul_n and_o do_v good_a to_o the_o church_n and_o saint_n of_o god_n it_o come_v so_o slow_o &_o so_o heavy_o as_o though_o it_o be_v all_o lose_v that_o be_v that_o way_n bestow_v and_o the_o cause_n be_v because_o they_o have_v a_o heart_n merciless_a and_o void_a of_o compassion_n now_o the_o outward_a duty_n follow_v and_o these_o be_v three_o in_o number_n especial_o to_o be_v regard_v the_o first_o be_v a_o amiable_a and_o love_a behaviour_n of_o one_o self_n towards_o other_o for_o as_o a_o sour_a look_n &_o a_o austere_a contemptuous_a gesture_n break_v this_o commandment_n in_o that_o it_o alienates_v man_n heart_n from_o we_o and_o be_v a_o preparative_n to_o hatred_n so_o it_o be_v a_o fruit_n of_o love_n and_o a_o part_n of_o keep_v this_o commandment_n that_o one_o shall_v by_o all_o good_a and_o gentle_a carriage_n of_o himself_o show_v his_o love_n and_o willingness_n to_o do_v good_a so_o near_o as_o he_o can_v to_o all_o and_o this_o be_v a_o thing_n note_v in_o abraham_n as_o a_o matter_n

too_o high_a he_o bring_v his_o estate_n so_o low_a that_o he_o can_v afford_v to_o do_v any_o good_a he_o be_v always_o in_o want_n &_o need_n still_o shift_v and_o cast_v behind_o hand_n because_o he_o be_v too_o lavish_a in_o spend_v in_o needless_a thing_n to_o serve_v himself_o as_o the_o sodomite_n though_o they_o live_v in_o the_o most_o rich_a and_o plentiful_a country_n under_o the_o sun_n and_o that_o which_o be_v fruitful_a of_o all_o increase_n yet_o they_o can_v show_v no_o work_n of_o mercy_n no_o good_a that_o they_o can_v do_v why_o because_o they_o be_v proud_a and_o think_v all_o too_o little_a that_o go_v to_o themselves_o and_o for_o their_o own_o delight_n &_o therefore_o can_v spare_v nothing_o to_o supply_v another_o need_n so_o it_o be_v see_v that_o many_o poor_a man_n yet_o be_v able_a to_o do_v more_o good_a have_v more_o to_o lay_v out_o upon_o mercy_n than_o many_o other_o that_o have_v rich_a revenue_n and_o why_o because_o these_o with_o their_o revenue_n have_v a_o other_o thing_n that_o be_v pride_n which_o drink_v they_o dry_a so_o that_o they_o may_v true_o say_v they_o have_v nothing_o to_o give_v they_o be_v drive_v to_o want_n and_o easy_o seduce_v in_o matter_n of_o their_o commendation_n because_o they_o seldom_o or_o never_o look_v over_o their_o sin_n so_o these_o be_v so_o quick_o put_v in_o doubt_n of_o their_o
