so_o for_o all_o other_o sin_n see_v thou_o a_o man_n go_v on_o in_o his_o sin_n thou_o may_v see_v that_o god_n hear_v not_o his_o prayer_n if_o a_o man_n shall_v be_v sick_a on_o his_o death_n bed_n and_o send_v for_o the_o physirians_n and_o apothecary_n in_o the_o country_n and_o send_v for_o his_o father_n mother_n and_o for_o all_o his_o friend_n to_o come_v to_o he_o to_o minister_v unto_o he_o yet_o i_o know_v he_o be_v not_o cure_v by_o they_o so_o long_o as_o i_o see_v his_o deadly_a disease_n remain_v upon_o he_o so_o if_o i_o see_v a_o man_n pride_n hypocrisy_n security_n deadness_n of_o heart_n his_o lust_n anger_n etc._n etc._n lie_v upon_o he_o notwithstanding_o all_o his_o prayer_n i_o know_v god_n hear_v not_o his_o prayer_n he_o pray_v to_o be_v cleanse_v from_o in_o they_o we_o see_v plain_o god_n hear_v not_o he_o o_o what_o a_o pitiful_a and_o miserable_a case_n be_v such_o man_n in_o that_o pray_v and_o pray_v and_o yet_o all_o their_o prayer_n be_v endless_a and_o fruitless_a be_v not_o that_o man_n in_o a_o pitiful_a case_n and_o all_o physic_n all_o cost_n and_o charge_n be_v lose_v upon_o he_o when_o his_o eat_n and_o drink_v his_o sleep_a and_o wind_a and_o turn_v from_o this_o side_n to_o that_o side_n do_v he_o no_o good_a do_v we_o not_o say_v of_o he_o that_o he_o be_v a_o dead_a man_n so_o if_o a_o man_n prayer_n and_o supplication_n to_o god_n be_v endless_a and_o fruitless_a that_o man_n must_v needs_o be_v a_o dead_a and_o a_o damn_a man_n so_o long_o as_o he_o go_v on_o in_o that_o case_n now_o we_o come_v to_o the_o second_o part_n of_o the_o text_n the_o sensibleness_n of_o the_o gen._n godly_a soul_n whether_o it_o speed_v or_o no_o the_o soul_n that_o pray_v aright_o that_o pray_v unsatiable_o it_o be_v able_a to_o say_v the_o lord_n do_v hear_v i_o the_o lord_n do_v grant_v i_o the_o thing_n that_o i_o pray_v to_o he_o for_o thus_o say_v jonah_n i_o cry_v unto_o the_o lord_n and_o he_o hear_v i_o out_o of_o the_o belly_n of_o hell_n cry_v i_o and_o thou_o hear_v my_o voice_n jonah_n 2._o 2._o how_o can_v jonah_n say_v god_n hear_v his_o voice_n if_o he_o have_v not_o know_v it_o therefore_o he_o know_v it_o but_o against_o this_o some_o may_v object_v object_n how_o can_v this_o be_v how_o can_v the_o soul_n know_v that_o god_n hear_v it_o we_o have_v no_o angel_n nor_o voice_n from_o heaven_n now_o to_o tell_v man_n as_o the_o angel_n tell_v cornelius_n that_o his_o prayer_n be_v accept_v and_o come_v up_o before_o god_n or_o to_o say_v as_o christ_n to_o the_o woman_n in_o the_o gospel_n be_v of_o good_a comfort_n thy_o sin_n be_v forgive_v thou_o i_o know_v god_n hear_v i_o with_o his_o all-hearing_a ear_n and_o therefore_o i_o have_v a_o good_a belief_n in_o god_n but_o how_o shall_v i_o know_v that_o god_n hear_v my_o prayer_n in_o mercy_n so_o as_o to_o grant_v that_o i_o pray_v for_o answ_n there_o be_v six_o way_n to_o know_v whether_o the_o soul_n shall_v speed_v in_o prayer_n yea_o or_o no._n the_o first_o be_v the_o have_v of_o a_o spirit_n of_o further_a and_o further_o pray_v when_o god_n give_v the_o soul_n a_o further_o and_o further_a ability_n to_o pray_v when_o god_n open_v a_o way_n for_o the_o soul_n to_o the_o throne_n of_o grace_n and_o give_v he_o a_o free_a access_n to_o the_o gate_n of_o mercy_n and_o a_o spirit_n to_o hold_v out_o in_o prayer_n it_o be_v a_o sign_n that_o god_n mean_v to_o hear_v it_o when_o a_o petitioner_n have_v access_n to_o the_o king_n and_o present_v his_o petition_n if_o the_o king_n embolden_v he_o in_o his_o speech_n and_o let_v he_o speak_v
if_o all_o be_v true_a the_o minister_n speak_v i_o but_o the_o scripture_n say_v it_o be_v all_o true_a that_o be_v in_o the_o scripture_n the_o lord_n have_v mercy_n upon_o we_o and_o thus_o like_o
