the_o promise_n covenant_n etc._n etc._n by_o frequent_a and_o earnest_a meditation_n feed_v upon_o they_o and_o hide_v they_o in_o the_o midst_n of_o our_o heart_n they_o can_v produce_v any_o settle_a faith_n in_o we_o and_o faith_n not_o be_v produce_v and_o settle_v it_o can_v produce_v these_o effect_n and_o mark_n as_o be_v requisite_a thereunto_o i_o have_v insist_v the_o long_a on_o exceed_o this_o point_n of_o the_o sureness_n of_o the_o covenant_n and_o everlastingness_n on_o god_n part_n now_o faith_n produce_v this_o acceptable_a obedience_n faith_n which_o work_v by_o love_n disobey_v and_o so_o to_o despise_v the_o offer_n of_o grace_n be_v and_o must_v be_v exceed_o sinful_a for_o it_o be_v no_o less_o then_o as_o the_o apostle_n call_v it_o to_o neglect_v so_o great_a a_o salvation_n to_o tread_v under_o foot_n the_o blood_n of_o christ_n and_o to_o count_v the_o blood_n of_o the_o covenant_n a_o unholy_a thing_n for_o by_o the_o law_n the_o lord_n command_v we_o indeed_o so_o to_o do_v but_o the_o tenor_n of_o the_o gospel_n be_v by_o entreat_v to_o win_v obedience_n out_o of_o love_n i_o beseech_v you_o by_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n rom._n 12.1_o if_o a_o just_a king_n shall_v out_o of_o authority_n command_v his_o subject_n any_o reasonable_a lawful_a thing_n and_o he_o shall_v disobey_v certain_o his_o disobedience_n be_v great_a and_o great_o to_o be_v punish_v but_o if_o the_o prince_n lay_v aside_o his_o authority_n or_o with_o his_o authority_n shall_v request_v and_o allure_v with_o benefit_n and_o yet_o be_v neglect_v what_o punishment_n think_v thou_o be_v that_o person_n worthy_a of_o now_o the_o case_n be_v thy_o own_o the_o lord_n thy_o god_n have_v more_o interest_n in_o thou_o than_o all_o the_o king_n in_o the_o world_n and_o be_v more_o worthy_a to_o be_v obey_v than_o they_o all_o also_o he_o have_v be_v command_v thou_o and_o not_o only_o so_o but_o request_v beseech_v thou_o and_o that_o not_o by_o any_o common_a favour_n but_o by_o his_o tender_a mercy_n and_o the_o precious_a merit_n of_o his_o son_n and_o renew_v the_o offer_n of_o salvation_n and_o remission_n of_o thy_o sin_n to_o leave_v such_o and_o such_o sin_n and_o to_o do_v such_o and_o such_o duty_n but_o thou_o will_v not_o o_o then_o how_o great_a and_o how_o just_a shall_v be_v thy_o damnation_n be_v not_o this_o to_o tread_v under_o foot_n the_o blood_n of_o christ_n o_o that_o this_o be_v consider_v if_o a_o subject_a shall_v rebel_v against_o his_o prince_n his_o punishment_n shall_v be_v both_o just_a and_o great_a but_o if_o the_o prince_n notwithstanding_o all_o that_o have_v pass_v will_v of_o his_o free_a grace_n offer_v he_o a_o free_a remission_n and_o pardon_n and_o entreat_v he_o to_o accept_v of_o it_o and_o no_o more_o to_o continue_v in_o his_o rebellion_n and_o yet_o nevertheless_o he_o shall_v despise_v the_o pardon_n and_o continue_v in_o his_o former_a rebellion_n what_o punishment_n can_v be_v devise_v sufficient_a for_o such_o a_o one_o just_o such_o be_v the_o case_n of_o such_o who_o sin_n against_o the_o gospel_n the_o lord_n offer_v free_o
