will_v be_v the_o more_o loath_a to_o offend_v his_o goodness_n and_o as_o for_o you_o that_o be_v tempt_v against_o your_o will_v and_o will_v not_o for_o all_o the_o world_n displease_v god_n wilful_o but_o that_o you_o be_v thus_o beguile_v and_o encumber_v by_o the_o fiend_n with_o many_o painful_a thought_n be_v you_o not_o afraid_a of_o the_o fiend_n nor_o of_o his_o ferefull_a love_n the_o first_o measure_n of_o thy_o lyf_v which_o be_v so_o short_a that_o unnethe_n it_o be_v any_o thing_n for_z we_o live_v here_o but_o in_o a_o point_n that_o be_v the_o least_fw-mi thing_n y_fw-mi it_o may_v be_v and_o for_o to_o say_v sothe_o our_o life_n be_v less_o than_o a_o point_n if_o we_o shall_v liken_v it_o to_o the_o life_n everla_a an_o other_o thing_n be_v the_o uncertaynte_n of_o our_o end_n for_o we_o wot_v not_o when_o we_o shall_v dye_v nor_o how_o we_o shall_v dye_v nor_o whether_o we_o shall_v go_v when_o we_o be_v deed_n and_o the_o will_n of_o god_n be_v that_o it_o be_v to_o we_o uncertain_a for_z he_o wyll_v that_o we_o be_v always_o ready_a to_o dye_v the_o three_o be_v y_o it_o we_o shall_v answer_v before_o the_o right_a wise_a juge_n of_o all_o the_o time_n y_fw-fr t_o we_o have_v be_v here_o how_o we_o have_v live_v what_o our_o occupacyon_n have_v be_v and_z what_o good_a we_o may_v have_v do_v when_o we_o have_v be_v idle_a therefore_o you_o e_o prophet_n say_a he_o have_v call_v the_o time_n against_o i_o that_o be_v for_o every_o day_n he_o have_v lent_fw-la we_o here_o to_o spend_v in_o good_a use_n as_o in_o penance_n and_o in_o god_n seruyce_n and_o if_o we_o waste_v it_o in_o erthly_a love_n and_o vanytee_n full_a grevous_o must_v we_o be_v deem_v and_o punyssh_v therefore_o it_o be_v one_o of_o the_o moo_v sorrow_n y_o it_o may_v be_v to_o we_o but_o if_o we_o enforce_v we_o to_o the_o contrary_a &_o set_v our_o herte_n to_o the_o love_n of_o god_n and_o do_v good_a to_o all_o that_o we_o may_v cause_n to_o their_o soul_n health_n &_o therefore_o shall_v no_o man_n nor_o woman_n be_v hevy_a or_o sorry_a for_o any_o temptacyon_n for_o as_o saint_n james_n the_o apostle_n tech_v we_o we_o shall_v have_v very_o great_a joy_n when_o we_o be_v tempt_v with_o dyvers_a temptacyon_n for_z as_o the_o gold_n be_v pure_v and_o purge_v by_o the_o fire_n and_o a_o knight_n in_o batayle_n be_v prove_v good_a right_a so_o be_v a_o man_n by_o temptacyon_n prove_v for_o good_a but_o if_o he_o suffer_v himself_o to_o be_v overcome_v that_o be_v to_o say_v but_o he_o consent_v thereto_o by_o delyberacyon_n for_o sothe_o when_o a_o man_n be_v sharp_o tempt_v he_o may_v then_o have_v hope_n of_o grace_n virtue_n and_o it_o be_v necessary_a for_o a_o man_n moche_n to_o be_v trouble_v with_o temptacyon_n for_o every_o virtue_n be_v prove_v by_o his_o contrary_n our_o enemy_n the_o fiend_n be_v besy_n day_n and_o night_n to_o tarry_v and_o travail_v good_a man_n and_o woman_n with_o dyspayre_n against_o our_o will_n thorugh_v the_o fende_v violent_a tempting_a we_o suffer_v pain_n but_o we_o do_v no_o sin_n &_o yet_o the_o silly_a soul_n knowledge_n be_v hide_v by_o that_o turment_n ¶_o the_o second_o chapytre_n â—ut_v yet_o right_a often_o the_o tempting_a of_o the_o fiend_n that_o make_v the_o soul_n to_o err_v in_o faith_n and_o foul_a fantasye_a &_o in_o dyspayre_n
