do_v this_o so_o that_o although_o i_o confess_v that_o in_o nature_n it_o be_v otherwise_o that_o a_o man_n can_v always_o admire_v the_o greatness_n of_o some_o rare_a deliverance_n or_o fortunate_a estate_n befall_v he_o by_o his_o friend_n which_o at_o the_o first_o raise_v great_a admiration_n yet_o it_o ought_v to_o be_v far_o otherwise_o with_o the_o spiritual_a man_n be_v a_o believe_a christian_a he_o i_o say_v have_v the_o love_a countenance_n of_o god_n shine_v daily_o upon_o he_o as_o before_o which_o be_v a_o treasure_n unualuable_a shall_v wonder_v at_o the_o continuance_n of_o it_o especial_o see_v he_o provoke_v the_o lord_n with_o his_o sin_n daily_o renew_v may_v therefore_o fear_v that_o such_o former_a comfort_n as_o have_v be_v enjoy_v may_v have_v be_v turn_v into_o as_o great_a sorrow_n and_o his_o light_n into_o darkness_n rather_o than_o be_v continue_v and_o multiply_v and_o this_o he_o shall_v do_v unless_o through_o unthankfulnes_n the_o corruption_n of_o nature_n lead_v he_o thereto_o he_o bury_v the_o same_o in_o oblivion_n and_o begin_v to_o affect_v too_o much_o and_o to_o be_v over_o near_o glue_v to_o thing_n present_a and_o temporary_a set_v the_o creature_n before_o the_o creator_n and_o the_o gift_n before_o the_o giver_n for_o thereby_o he_o shall_v no_o doubt_n slack_v his_o meruail_n at_o that_o kindness_n of_o god_n that_o have_v never_o end_n although_o it_o be_v most_o precious_a whereas_o otherwise_o he_o shall_v be_v able_a from_o day_n to_o day_n to_o bear_v down_o all_o transitory_a thing_n before_o he_o with_o the_o estimation_n and_o high_a prize_v of_o it_o and_o this_o of_o the_o second_o companion_n of_o faith_n namely_o holy_a admire_v the_o greatness_n of_o god_n kindness_n love_n but_o that_o i_o may_v not_o dwell_v upon_o this_o matter_n who_o have_v purpose_v but_o in_o brief_a manner_n to_o show_v what_o a_o train_n of_o heavenly_a companion_n do_v attend_v upon_o this_o faith_n and_o certainty_n of_o god_n eternal_a favour_n and_o to_o leave_v the_o meditation_n of_o and_o upon_o it_o to_o the_o reverend_a and_o devout_a reader_n another_o therefore_o be_v hearty_a and_o unfeigned_a love_n in_o he_o who_o feel_v this_o love_n of_o god_n shed_v into_o his_o heart_n return_v to_o he_o again_o the_o which_o although_o in_o hollowness_n and_o hypocrisy_n the_o most_o affirm_v bold_o to_o be_v in_o they_o towards_o god_n before_o they_o have_v find_v and_o feel_v themselves_o to_o be_v belove_v of_o he_o yet_o the_o scripture_n teach_v we_o that_o it_o be_v far_o otherwise_o 15.16_o see_v we_o have_v not_o love_v he_o but_o he_o have_v love_v we_o first_o but_o when_o we_o see_v indeed_o what_o great_a thing_n god_n have_v do_v for_o we_o from_o what_o dreadful_a bondage_n he_o have_v deliver_v we_o unto_o the_o which_o in_o all_o our_o life_n we_o be_v in_o danger_n and_o to_o what_o gracious_a liberty_n and_o privilege_n he_o have_v restore_v we_o be_v lover_n of_o pleasure_n more_o than_o lover_n of_o god_n as_o other_o be_v yet_o now_o that_o we_o know_v god_n bountifulness_n towards_o we_o and_o the_o vanity_n of_o our_o fond_a delight_n we_o have_v our_o heart_n more_o set_v upon_o god_n then_o upon_o the_o best_a pleasure_n which_o we_o enjoy_v thing_n and_o although_o sometime_o before_o this_o we_o love_v father_n mother_n friend_n good_n more_o than_o god_n when_o we_o be_v mere_o natural_a yet_o now_o that_o we_o know_v god_n yea_o rather_o be_v know_v of_o god_n we_o have_v our_o heart_n set_v on_o he_o as_o be_v our_o chief_a treasure_n for_o this_o our_o spiritual_a kindred_n with_o jesus_n christ_n have_v knit_v we_o to_o he_o with_o a_o far_o more_o near_a bond_n of_o love_n and_o therefore_o we_o rest_v in_o he_o joy_n in_o he_o and_o satisfy_v ourselves_o with_o he_o for_o there_o shall_v be_v ever_o cause_n so_o to_o do_v and_o that_o without_o weariness_n there_o be_v no_o end_n of_o his_o find_v thankfulness_n how_o can_v there_o be_v but_o unfeigned_a thankfulness_n and_o acknowledge_v of_o this_o gift_n of_o god_n to_o his_o great_a praise_n when_o we_o shall_v weigh_v what_o he_o have_v do_v for_o our_o soul_n and_o what_o solace_n he_o have_v fill_v our_o life_n withal_o which_o otherwise_o must_v needs_o be_v full_a of_o deadness_n or_o deceivable_a and_o unsavourie_a folly_n they_o must_v of_o necessity_n work_v the_o same_o affection_n in_o we_o which_o be_v in_o the_o man_n of_o god_n mention_v in_o the_o psal_n 116.12_o what_o shall_v i_o give_v unto_o the_o say_v be_v not_o in_o this_o miserable_a estate_n except_o some_o one_o or_o few_o who_o be_v weary_a of_o their_o life_n and_o make_v all_o their_o other_o delight_n unpleasant_a to_o they_o for_o the_o same_o this_o as_o unwise_a they_o object_n all_o because_o they_o be_v move_v with_o nothing_o but_o that_o which_o they_o see_v with_o their_o outward_a eye_n the_o voice_n of_o god_n pierce_v not_o their_o heart_n although_o it_o pronounce_v as_o well_o to_o he_o that_o escape_v all_o these_o if_o any_o such_o can_v be_v find_v as_o to_o he_o who_o have_v be_v plague_v with_o they_o all_o even_o to_o one_o as_o to_o another_o without_o respect_n of_o person_n woe_n be_v to_o the_o inhabitant_n of_o the_o earth_n because_o they_o have_v sin_v so_o long_o as_o this_o word_n shall_v be_v true_a no_o man_n estate_n be_v better_a than_o another_o all_o be_v under_o the_o wrath_n of_o god_n therefore_o let_v no_o man_n deceive_v himself_o god_n be_v not_o mock_v how_o this_o aught_o to_o affect_v the_o heart_n of_o he_o that_o hear_v it_o we_o shall_v see_v hereafter_o but_o he_o that_o harden_v his_o heart_n at_o the_o hear_n of_o this_o because_o he_o feel_v not_o neither_o see_v be_v think_v more_o full_a of_o horror_n and_o all_o these_o be_v woeful_a man_n under_o there_o be_v none_o which_o have_v not_o bring_v himself_o into_o the_o depth_n of_o they_o all_o which_o be_v all_o i_o may_v say_v true_o that_o he_o have_v to_o glory_n of_o so_o that_o i_o think_v it_o can_v be_v deny_v but_o that_o he_o be_v miserable_a unto_o the_o which_o to_o add_v as_o the_o shut_n up_o of_o all_o the_o remediless_a fear_n and_o deep_a doubt_n which_o oft_o bring_v anguish_n here_o the_o pain_n and_o torture_n of_o both_o soul_n and_o body_n in_o the_o end_n of_o this_o life_n when_o both_o must_v take_v up_o their_o dwell_n in_o heâ—_n who_o so_o shall_v hear_v it_o must_v needs_o confess_v that_o there_o want_v herein_o no_o piece_n of_o misery_n but_o see_v the_o scripture_n itself_o call_v it_o pain_n unspeakable_a i_o will_v not_o go_v about_o to_o describe_v it_o lest_o i_o shall_v any_o way_n seem_v to_o make_v it_o less_o than_o it_o be_v it_o be_v sufficient_a for_o this_o purpose_n that_o it_o be_v most_o extreme_a easeless_a and_o endless_a this_o i_o have_v say_v of_o the_o misery_n of_o man_n and_o of_o both_o the_o part_n of_o it_o as_o i_o do_v purpose_n and_o that_o in_o as_o few_o sentence_n as_o well_o i_o may_v and_o few_o in_o deed_n than_o such_o a_o weighty_a matter_n will_v have_v require_v but_o that_o it_o be_v elsewhere_o handle_v by_o other_o and_o i_o have_v determine_v to_o say_v no_o more_o than_o i_o must_v needs_o of_o those_o thing_n which_o be_v set_v forth_o at_o large_a both_o plain_o by_o many_o learned_a brethren_n and_o in_o very_o good_a sort_n and_o order_n already_o misery_n these_o two_o point_n of_o man_n misery_n be_v to_o be_v know_v as_o a_o especial_a part_n of_o god_n truth_n of_o he_o who_o the_o lord_n will_v save_v for_o he_o which_o know_v not_o this_o swell_v and_o be_v puff_v up_o and_o go_v on_o in_o deep_a security_n and_o can_v do_v otherwise_o as_o long_o as_o he_o be_v ignorant_a of_o this_o point_n therefore_o the_o lord_n bring_v he_o on_o who_o he_o purpose_v to_o show_v mercy_n to_o the_o preach_n of_o his_o word_n and_o namely_o his_o law_n which_o show_v he_o his_o sin_n and_o damnation_n so_o that_o he_o shall_v clear_o understand_v it_o and_o that_o he_o as_o well_o as_o any_o other_o be_v under_o the_o power_n of_o it_o but_o here_o i_o think_v it_o not_o unseasonable_a to_o add_v this_o see_v ignorant_a people_n which_o lie_v yet_o in_o their_o sin_n do_v harden_v their_o heart_n at_o the_o hear_n of_o this_o that_o none_o have_v just_a cause_n a_o adder_n or_o when_o he_o be_v prick_v with_o the_o point_n of_o a_o sword_n so_o i_o say_v it_o be_v with_o he_o that_o do_v unfeigned_o believe_v his_o own_o misery_n without_o exception_n cast_v away_o all_o delude_a conceit_n which_o may_v hinder_v it_o such_o a_o sudden_a alteration_n it_o shall_v work_v in_o he_o how_o far_o off_o so_o ever_o he_o be_v before_o that_o from_o it_o 2.37_o and_o that_o be_v lively_o set_v forth_o in_o the_o example_n of_o the_o three_o thousand_o that_o be_v convert_v at_o peter_n sermon_n who_o for_o their_o estate_n before_o have_v be_v of_o they_o that_o crucify_v christ_n and_o even_o at_o that_o present_a time_n be_v mocker_n and_o railer_n at_o the_o apostle_n say_v they_o be_v drunken_a with_o new_a wine_n yet_o when_o on_o the_o sudden_a the_o word_n be_v preach_v with_o all_o authority_n which_o man_n may_v not_o be_v able_a to_o resist_v and_o with_o convince_a of_o the_o conscience_n and_o s._n luke_n in_o the_o act_n commend_v the_o fruit_n of_o that_o doctrine_n so_o high_o even_o that_o they_o be_v prick_v in_o their_o heart_n for_o their_o sin_n without_o which_o they_o have_v neither_o repent_v gospel_n nor_o obtain_v treatise_n the_o second_o treatise_n show_v at_o large_a what_o the_o life_n of_o the_o true_a believer_n be_v and_o the_o conversation_n of_o such_o as_o have_v assure_v hope_n of_o salvation_n chap._n 1._o the_o sum_n and_o order_n of_o this_o second_o treatise_n hitherto_o i_o have_v show_v who_o be_v they_o who_o the_o scripture_n call_v believer_n and_o the_o son_n and_o daughter_n of_o the_o lord_n almighty_a now_o it_o be_v necessary_a and_o follow_v in_o order_n to_o show_v what_o the_o life_n of_o the_o true_a believer_n be_v and_o how_o he_o who_o have_v faith_n must_v behave_v himself_o throughout_o his_o whole_a conversation_n for_o as_o yet_o nothing_o have_v be_v say_v of_o that_o but_o that_o treatise_n namely_o what_o the_o life_n of_o the_o true_a believer_n be_v be_v reserve_v to_o this_o place_n for_o avoid_v confusion_n and_o without_o it_o a_o man_n can_v neither_o well_o see_v the_o excellency_n 2.26_o and_o beauty_n of_o faith_n which_o without_o work_n be_v dead_a neither_o can_v the_o believer_n know_v how_o to_o occupy_v himself_o throughout_o his_o life_n but_o must_v of_o necessity_n be_v idle_a and_o unprofitable_a who_o yet_o must_v join_v with_o his_o faith_n 7_o virtue_n knowledge_n temperance_n patience_n godliness_n brotherly_a kindness_n and_o love_n etc._n etc._n this_o i_o say_v be_v the_o argument_n and_o matter_n to_o be_v handle_v in_o this_o treatise_n and_o see_v there_o be_v much_o difficulty_n about_o this_o point_n as_o about_o the_o other_o in_o the_o former_a treatise_n and_o see_v it_o be_v of_o great_a weight_n and_o moment_n of_o all_o other_o except_o that_o 27.3_o it_o must_v with_o like_a care_n be_v look_v into_o and_o lay_v forth_o for_o some_o think_v that_o repentance_n and_o godliness_n be_v nothing_o else_o but_o grief_n for_o some_o offence_n commit_v and_o so_o judas_n may_v have_v be_v godly_a some_o think_v that_o to_o amend_v some_o thing_n which_o be_v amiss_o be_v godliness_n especial_o if_o they_o also_o do_v some_o good_a therewith_o and_o so_o herod_n that_o cause_v john_n to_o be_v behead_v may_v have_v be_v godly_a 6.20_o for_o he_o reverence_v john_n and_o when_o he_o hear_v he_o he_o do_v many_o thing_n some_o think_v that_o if_o they_o have_v be_v well_o move_v at_o the_o hear_n of_o the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o do_v bow_v themselves_o before_o god_n for_o the_o time_n in_o outward_a sign_n of_o repentance_n only_o that_o then_o they_o be_v godly_a in_o deed_n but_o so_o may_v ahab_n have_v be_v godly_a some_o if_o they_o can_v shut_v up_o all_o their_o vain_a talk_n bad_a deal_n foolish_a iesting_n with_o such_o other_o merriment_n at_o their_o meeting_n in_o this_o manner_n lord_n have_v mercy_n upon_o we_o we_o be_v all_o sinner_n that_o then_o they_o have_v repent_v and_o so_o the_o common_a sort_n of_o wicked_a one_o may_v be_v say_v to_o repent_v and_o to_o be_v godly_a and_o last_o popish_a contrition_n auricular_a confession_n and_o satisfaction_n be_v think_v in_o popery_n to_o be_v good_a repentance_n which_o as_o they_o understand_v they_o be_v as_o far_o from_o it_o as_o any_o of_o the_o former_a these_o be_v some_o few_o of_o a_o great_a many_o opinion_n about_o this_o matter_n all_o which_o be_v most_o dangerous_a and_o erroneous_a it_o be_v therefore_o very_o necessary_a consist_v that_o we_o may_v understand_v the_o will_n of_o god_n aright_o concern_v this_o and_o what_o to_o lean_v unto_o that_o we_o be_v not_o deceive_v my_o purpose_n be_v therefore_o in_o this_o treatise_n to_o set_v down_o at_o large_a what_o a_o godly_a life_n be_v and_o wherein_o it_o consist_v that_o he_o who_o desire_v it_o may_v see_v former_a whether_o his_o course_n and_o behaviour_n be_v such_o or_o no_o and_o the_o trial_n of_o this_o must_v be_v make_v of_o he_o who_o have_v try_v himself_o by_o the_o former_a that_o the_o one_o may_v be_v see_v to_o go_v with_o the_o other_o and_o both_o together_o as_o twin_n so_o that_o he_o who_o have_v not_o both_o may_v be_v true_o say_v to_o have_v neither_o and_o in_o lay_v forth_o this_o matter_n i_o will_v follow_v this_o method_n and_o order_n to_o refer_v all_o that_o shall_v be_v speak_v about_o it_o four_o to_o four_o general_a head_n or_o part_n the_o first_o that_o a_o godly_a life_n must_v of_o necessity_n go_v with_o the_o faith_n before_o speak_v of_o and_o that_o it_o be_v the_o foundation_n and_o ground_n thereof_o whereby_o we_o receive_v and_o give_v credit_n not_o only_o to_o the_o promise_n of_o our_o salvation_n but_o also_o to_o all_o other_o promise_n of_o temporary_a benefit_n appertain_v to_o this_o life_n and_o also_o to_o the_o whole_a word_n of_o god_n with_o a_o mind_n to_o rely_v upon_o it_o and_o to_o be_v guide_v by_o it_o this_o be_v the_o first_o head_n of_o this_o treatise_n the_o second_o that_o there_o must_v be_v a_o pure_a heart_n in_o he_o who_o must_v lead_v a_o godly_a life_n a_o pure_a heart_n i_o say_v renew_a and_o change_v from_o that_o it_o be_v before_o as_o ezekiel_n speak_v 36.26_o i_o will_v take_v away_o your_o stony_a or_o hard_a heart_n from_o you_o and_o put_v a_o new_a heart_n in_o you_o this_o must_v of_o necessity_n be_v in_o he_o who_o shall_v live_v godly_a and_o so_o consequent_o that_o the_o whole_a man_n be_v change_v three_o i_o will_v set_v down_o the_o first_o part_n of_o a_o sufficient_a for_o they_o be_v dangerous_o proud_a because_o they_o have_v not_o fall_v shameful_o that_o be_v into_o some_o odious_a crime_n and_o yet_o they_o have_v fall_v shameful_o if_o they_o can_v see_v it_o in_o that_o they_o be_v dangerous_o proud_a if_o god_n therefore_o see_v it_o meet_v to_o abate_v their_o pride_n thereby_o they_o may_v possible_o fall_v after_o such_o a_o manner_n or_o if_o it_o be_v for_o the_o more_o manifest_v of_o his_o glory_n in_o forgive_a they_o so_o great_a a_o trespass_n they_o may_v also_o fall_v dangerous_o 21.15_o this_o do_v our_o merciful_a return_v out_o from_o it_o worse_o than_o we_o go_v into_o it_o as_o the_o most_o company_n be_v such_o as_o do_v make_v man_n more_o corrupt_a than_o they_o be_v before_o therefore_o the_o lord_n have_v teach_v his_o people_n how_o to_o carry_v themselves_o in_o all_o their_o meeting_n with_o other_o in_o such_o wise_a as_o not_o only_o they_o may_v shun_v the_o harm_n which_o be_v easy_o love_n and_o how_o can_v this_o exclude_v that_o peace_n which_o we_o speak_v of_o nay_o our_o rejoice_v in_o the_o lord_n which_o be_v rather_o a_o degree_n beyond_o this_o peace_n we_o be_v command_v to_o entertain_v and_o retain_v always_o that_o be_v 4.4_o at_o all_o time_n that_o none_o may_v imagine_v that_o i_o mean_v we_o shall_v only_o some_o one_o time_n in_o the_o day_n or_o of_o any_o of_o they_o so_o yet_o he_o must_v not_o think_v but_o that_o there_o be_v other_o particular_a action_n beside_o these_o but_o they_o be_v all_o to_o be_v well_o order_v and_o govern_v by_o these_o and_o now_o somewhat_o i_o will_v set_v down_o about_o they_o not_o unprofitable_a and_o needless_a i_o have_v brief_o prove_v that_o some_o certain_a manner_n of_o direct_v a_o christian_n daily_o be_v require_v in_o the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o that_o it_o be_v no_o fancy_n of_o man_n brain_n thus_o near_o and_o narow_o to_o look_v to_o himself_o and_o have_v set_v down_o a_o draught_n thereof_o out_o of_o the_o scripture_n and_o therefore_o man_n must_v know_v direction_n that_o it_o be_v their_o sin_n when_o they_o be_v not_o guide_v by_o these_o rule_n in_o the_o daily_a course_n of_o their_o live_n i_o say_v when_o these_o accompany_v they_o not_o whatsoever_o their_o calling_n be_v or_o the_o action_n which_o they_o be_v occupy_v about_o it_o be_v their_o necessary_a to_o be_v daily_o guide_v in_o this_o manner_n we_o must_v know_v that_o these_o grace_n which_o i_o have_v speak_v of_o be_v not_o at_o some_o one_o
needless_o of_o other_o man_n or_o of_o their_o deal_n be_v wont_a to_o be_v common_a with_o they_o and_o in_o solitariness_n a_o spend_v of_o their_o thought_n and_o desire_n after_o the_o like_a manner_n vain_o until_o they_o be_v able_a more_o wise_o to_o discern_v how_o to_o give_v every_o duty_n in_o the_o day_n his_o time_n and_o how_o to_o occupy_v both_o the_o one_o and_o the_o other_o throughout_o the_o day_n but_o they_o have_v with_o hearty_a thanks_n to_o god_n protest_v that_o after_o they_o have_v attain_v to_o this_o they_o see_v far_o more_o clear_o into_o the_o practice_n of_o christianity_n than_o ever_o before_o they_o do_v and_o find_v the_o lord_n yoke_v far_o more_o easy_a to_o they_o and_o themselves_o settle_v with_o more_o sound_a peace_n in_o the_o lead_n of_o their_o life_n this_o report_n of_o some_o christian_n who_o i_o know_v well_o i_o have_v set_v down_o where_o by_o this_o little_a the_o rest_n may_v be_v conjecture_v for_o the_o better_a encourage_v of_o the_o reader_n to_o be_v acquaint_v with_o a_o daily_a direction_n for_o the_o course_n of_o his_o life_n and_o that_o he_o shall_v not_o rest_v in_o a_o general_a and_o uncertain_a obedience_n to_o god_n and_o let_v nothing_o that_o i_o have_v say_v of_o they_o be_v think_v needless_a or_o unmeete_a for_o we_o as_o long_o as_o we_o can_v see_v good_a reason_n for_o this_o which_o they_o do_v but_o know_v we_o that_o this_o kind_n of_o serve_v god_n both_o may_v be_v and_o be_v and_o have_v be_v god_n be_v thank_v use_v of_o many_o of_o god_n servant_n though_o i_o the_o scripture_n know_v not_o and_o some_o of_o they_o also_o fantastical_o have_v for_o every_o day_n in_o the_o week_n devise_v a_o order_n to_o be_v follow_v as_o the_o read_n of_o certain_a task_n nothing_o less_o than_o proper_a to_o direct_v their_o life_n yet_o in_o this_o which_o i_o here_o propound_v namely_o that_o we_o shall_v be_v daily_o direct_v in_o our_o whole_a course_n i_o have_v follow_v no_o fancy_n and_o dream_n of_o man_n but_o have_v in_o all_o good_a conscience_n speak_v from_o god_n and_o draw_v it_o from_o the_o scripture_n both_o for_o the_o learned_a and_o simple_a high_a and_o low_a one_o and_o other_o and_o be_v never_o in_o vain_a to_o the_o right_a user_n of_o it_o although_o i_o deny_v not_o but_o that_o a_o skilfull_a handler_n of_o it_o may_v have_v set_v it_o down_o far_o more_o exquisite_o but_o from_o whence_o be_v the_o difficulty_n that_o it_o be_v no_o more_o in_o practice_n be_v a_o treasure_n of_o so_o infinite_a value_n and_o that_o so_o many_o pray_v and_o some_o of_o they_o often_o to_o lead_v a_o godly_a life_n yet_o when_o and_o where_o they_o shall_v not_o there_o they_o favour_v themselves_o and_o say_v they_o be_v weak_a and_o unable_a from_o whence_o i_o say_v be_v this_o direction_n but_o from_o hence_o that_o they_o will_v put_v no_o diligence_n thereunto_o to_o observe_v their_o way_n in_o which_o they_o prosper_v and_o contrariwise_o also_o there_o be_v no_o answerable_a travel_n nor_o labour_n for_o skill_n and_o experience_n in_o this_o christian_a course_n to_o that_o which_o be_v in_o all_o other_o but_o every_o little_a be_v tedious_a to_o they_o and_o wearisome_a they_o be_v seven_o year_n at_o other_o trade_n to_o learn_v they_o though_o they_o be_v apt_a to_o they_o and_o forward_o in_o they_o before_o they_o be_v think_v fit_a to_o occupy_v by_o themselves_o but_o yet_o without_o seven_o year_n or_o seven_o month_n diligent_a exercise_v of_o the_o rule_n of_o christian_n life_n for_o before_o they_o be_v convert_v to_o the_o obedience_n of_o god_n what_o reckon_v be_v to_o be_v make_v of_o their_o profess_v they_o will_v be_v think_v fit_a to_o do_v as_o the_o best_a in_o this_o trade_n of_o christian_n living_n although_o it_o be_v clean_o against_o their_o nature_n nay_o i_o say_v more_o he_o be_v a_o rare_a man_n note_n who_o can_v be_v persuade_v to_o be_v guide_v by_o religion_n and_o the_o rule_v thereof_o but_o seven_o week_n constant_o i_o may_v true_o say_v seven_o day_n for_o if_o he_o who_o will_v but_o so_o long_o give_v over_o himself_o to_o live_v by_o faith_n and_o walk_v with_o god_n he_o will_v never_o seek_v to_o be_v loosen_v and_o set_v at_o liberty_n again_o to_o his_o old_a life_n but_o will_v renounce_v it_o utter_o so_o great_a shall_v his_o advantage_n be_v in_o this_o course_n and_o trade_n and_o as_o i_o know_v that_o this_o be_v the_o main_a and_o great_a cause_n why_o so_o few_o be_v light_n and_o example_n to_o other_o so_o when_o people_n be_v teach_v the_o truth_n clear_o concern_v this_o matter_n for_o i_o be_o sure_a that_o it_o be_v neglect_v of_o many_o through_o ignorance_n let_v they_o either_o resolve_v to_o be_v govern_v through_o the_o day_n and_o from_o day_n to_o day_n or_o let_v they_o look_v to_o find_v small_a rejoice_v in_o the_o christian_n life_n with_o much_o uncomfortablenesse_n which_o otherwise_o need_v not_o to_o be_v and_o therefore_o in_o the_o fear_n of_o god_n let_v man_n think_v and_o judge_v of_o themselves_o as_o god_n word_n teach_v they_o yea_o let_v they_o profess_v as_o they_o be_v or_o let_v they_o look_v to_o find_v as_o they_o be_v and_o not_o as_o they_o profess_v but_o as_o the_o most_o do_v handle_v the_o matter_n note_n they_o shall_v find_v it_o hard_a to_o practice_v a_o christian_n life_n after_o seven_o year_n twice_o tell_v than_o the_o hard_a trade_n after_o half_a seven_o and_o as_o it_o be_v with_o many_o of_o they_o who_o never_o learn_v their_o occupation_n well_o that_o they_o be_v never_o skilful_a in_o it_o nor_o thrive_v by_o it_o as_o other_o do_v so_o one_o especial_a cause_n why_o many_o never_o practice_v godliness_n to_o the_o welfare_n of_o their_o soul_n neither_o prosper_v nor_o be_v well_o like_v therein_o be_v because_o they_o never_o sound_o learned_a how_o to_o live_v godly_a for_o continuance_n and_o constant_o one_o day_n as_o a_o other_o note_n but_o peece_v and_o patch_v up_o the_o same_o with_o here_o a_o good_a deed_n and_o there_o another_o and_o in_o be_v sometime_o devout_a and_o zealous_a the_o most_o of_o their_o action_n be_v unregarded_a and_o of_o many_o of_o they_o it_o may_v true_o be_v say_v the_o power_n of_o godliness_n be_v never_o thorough_o root_v and_o settle_v in_o their_o heart_n these_o rule_n and_o the_o like_a for_o the_o daily_a direct_n of_o a_o christian_a be_v to_o be_v well_o conceive_v and_o approve_v in_o our_o conscience_n to_o be_v such_o as_o be_v very_o
