gather_v thy_o church_n and_o increase_v the_o number_n of_o thy_o people_n that_o thy_o glory_n may_v be_v spread_v and_o extend_v to_o the_o uttermost_a bound_n of_o the_o earth_n and_o yet_o do_v the_o word_n of_o god_n or_o do_v not_o live_v severe_o according_a to_o his_o profession_n and_o calling_n 5._o when_o in_o the._n 5._o verse_n moses_n say_v and_o the_o prophet_n or_o dreamer_n of_o they_o say_v that_o christ_n be_v mild_a and_o merciful_a &_o require_v his_o disciple_n to_o follow_v his_o step_n in_o so_o much_o that_o when_o they_o desire_v fire_n to_o come_v from_o heaven_n away_o that_o their_o poison_n may_v not_o so_o large_o be_v spread_v to_o the_o great_a danger_n of_o other_o and_o the_o decay_n of_o god_n glory_n and_o truth_n if_o thy_o brother_n the_o son_n from_o the_o false_a prophet_n to_o the_o people_n and_o from_o some_o of_o the_o people_n to_o a_o whole_a city_n god_n will_v the_o whole_a city_n not_o to_o be_v spare_v but_o to_o be_v put_v to_o punishment_n and_o utter_a desolation_n for_o better_v it_o be_v that_o a_o few_o do_v perish_v *_o than_o god_n true_a worship_n shall_v be_v overthrow_v and_o his_o glory_n decay_n 27_o but_o in_o this_o place_n especial_o as_o in_o the_o other_o also_o before_o man_n proceed_v to_o punishment_n god_n will_v have_v they_o inquire_v and_o search_v out_o the_o matter_n diligent_o that_o they_o do_v not_o upon_o light_a report_n rash_o condemn_v man_n but_o if_o it_o be_v find_v for_o a_o surety_n then_o that_o they_o shall_v smite_v they_o with_o the_o edge_n of_o the_o sword_n and_o to_o to_o hear_v he_o 4_o last_o he_o open_v some_o of_o their_o particular_a fault_n and_o denounce_v their_o punishment_n that_o god_n will_v bring_v upon_o they_o and_o all_o this_o do_v he_o in_o manner_n of_o a_o plead_n of_o god_n cause_n before_o judge_n 1._o which_o *_o manner_n the_o prophet_n diverse_a time_n do_v use_v thereby_o to_o set_v out_o the_o justice_n of_o god_n and_o more_o evident_o to_o declare_v that_o his_o people_n even_o by_o the_o judgement_n of_o man_n or_o other_o common_a creature_n be_v unexcusable_a and_o by_o their_o own_o wickedness_n to_o pull_v upon_o themselves_o just_a and_o grievous_a punishment_n in_o this_o place_n the_o prophet_n by_o appointment_n of_o god_n take_v mountain_n and_o hill_n 2._o and_o the_o very_a foundation_n of_o the_o earth_n to_o hear_v the_o cause_n and_o complaint_n of_o almighty_a god_n against_o his_o people_n of_o israel_n and_o that_o be_v it_o that_o the_o prophet_n utter_v in_o the_o person_n of_o god_n say_v arise_v thou_o and_o contend_v with_o the_o mountain_n etc_n etc_n and_o then_o he_o obey_v the_o appointment_n of_o god_n say_v hear_v oh_o you_o mountain_n the_o lord_n quarrel_n etc_n etc_n as_o if_o he_o have_v say_v forsomuch_o as_o the_o heart_n of_o this_o people_n be_v so_o far_o from_o god_n that_o not_o so_o much_o as_o one_o of_o they_o will_v consider_v and_o unbe_n â—stande_v his_o cause_n i_o appeal_v to_o you_o hill_n and_o mountain_n and_o make_v the_o unsensible_a creature_n judge_n against_o they_o in_o this_o the_o prophet_n both_o note_v the_o hard_a heart_n and_o the_o obstinate_a contempt_n of_o the_o jew_n particular_o and_o also_o general_o teach_v all_o than_o which_o in_o like_a manner_n contemn_v the_o word_n of_o god_n that_o they_o shall_v by_o no_o mean_n be_v able_a to_o escape_v just_a judgement_n and_o condemnation_n etc_n for_o because_o the_o *_o who_o will_v world_n be_v make_v by_o god_n for_o we_o and_o in_o all_o point_n serve_v to_o our_o use_n perform_v that_o end_n to_o the_o which_o it_o be_v make_v though_o all_o other_o judge_n and_o witness_n will_v fail_v the_o very_a part_n of_o the_o world_n and_o the_o common_a creature_n will_v pronounce_v sentence_n against_o we_o if_o we_o in_o our_o call_n do_v show_v ourselves_o unthankful_a disobedient_a and_o rebellious_a against_o god._n oh_o my_o people_n what_o have_v i_o do_v unto_o thou_o etc_n or_o wherein_o have_v i_o grieve_v thou_o etc_n etc_n there_o be_v no_o one_o thing_n that_o in_o the_o prophet_n cause_v more_o difficulty_n than_o the_o often_o and_o the_o sudden_a change_v of_o the_o person_n wherefore_o that_o be_v here_o also_o to_o be_v observe_v the_o second_o verse_n be_v utter_v in_o the_o person_n of_o the_o prophet_n these_o three_o verse_n god_n himself_o speak_v although_o god_n be_v grievous_o displease_v with_o they_o yet_o he_o call_v they_o his_o people_n 18._o thereby_o *_o show_v that_o he_o will_v be_v ready_a to_o
