thousand_o way_n to_o bring_v it_o to_o light_n if_o he_o see_v it_o expedient_a so_o to_o do_v and_o yet_o they_o be_v in_o no_o such_o safety_n while_o they_o conceal_v it_o as_o they_o imagaine_n but_o rather_o in_o far_o great_a danger_n both_o towards_o god_n and_o the_o world_n also_o to_o god_n see_v while_o they_o hide_v their_o sin_n they_o can_v prosper_v neither_o repent_v while_o they_o harden_v their_o hart_n and_o while_o they_o do_v neither_o of_o both_o what_o be_v their_o life_n worth_n but_o the_o increase_n of_o sin_n and_o heap_v of_o judgement_n and_o it_o be_v worse_o for_o they_o to_o menward_n because_o if_o it_o ever_o after_o come_v to_o light_n they_o utter_o lose_v their_o credit_n among_o man_n without_o which_o it_o be_v better_o for_o they_o to_o be_v banish_v from_o their_o society_n then_o to_o live_v with_o they_o and_o if_o it_o come_v not_o to_o light_v yet_o they_o who_o have_v commit_v it_o walk_v among_o man_n either_o wound_v or_o harden_v but_o the_o least_o of_o both_o be_v miserable_a ananias_n and_o saphira_n his_o wife_n may_v exemplify_v this_o more_o clear_o and_o gehazai_n with_o many_o other_o verse_n 25._o now_o the_o true_a minister_n may_v now_o as_o instrument_n be_v say_v to_o forgive_v and_o take_v away_o sin_n and_o whether_o of_o these_o two_o it_o be_v he_o mean_v be_v not_o material_a doct._n 26._o pleasure_n but_o as_o such_o regard_v not_o goodness_n but_o by_o fit_n and_o in_o their_o good_a mood_n so_o they_o common_o have_v never_o the_o fruit_n thereof_o but_o deceive_v themselves_o by_o it_o let_v all_o judge_v as_o they_o ought_v and_o they_o shall_v find_v that_o as_o weak_a to_o witness_v so_o weighty_a a_o matter_n as_o his_o confession_n do_v for_o what_o change_n be_v in_o he_o after_o except_o from_o evil_a to_o worse_o or_o what_o sign_n all_o that_o present_a time_n or_o afterward_o that_o his_o heart_n relent_v and_o melt_v for_o displease_v god_n without_o the_o which_o all_o the_o rest_n be_v but_o as_o the_o morning_n dew_n which_o be_v soon_o lick_v away_o with_o the_o heat_n of_o the_o sun_n indeed_o he_o say_v i_o have_v sin_v yea_o and_o to_o samuel_n pray_v behind_o saul_n in_o his_o confession_n for_o he_o make_v it_o particular_o and_o of_o that_o sin_n which_o be_v most_o bring_v against_o he_o of_o all_o other_o by_o samuel_n but_o those_o of_o who_o i_o speak_v make_v either_o no_o confession_n or_o in_o general_a only_o as_o that_o we_o be_v all_o sinner_n or_o if_o of_o particular_n they_o shall_v be_v such_o as_o concern_v they_o not_o as_o if_o a_o worldly_a man_n shall_v pray_v against_o pride_n and_o drunkenness_n or_o when_o they_o say_v the_o confession_n in_o the_o church_n after_o the_o minister_n never_o mark_v what_o they_o say_v and_o the_o best_a of_o they_o do_v but_o as_o he_o do_v that_o be_v confess_v particular_o without_o repentance_n and_o those_o that_o practise_v these_o manner_n of_o confession_n be_v many_o thousand_o these_o come_v behind_o saul_n in_o their_o confession_n as_o they_o may_v easy_o see_v but_o to_o go_v a_o little_a further_o let_v the_o best_a look_n that_o they_o have_v better_a proof_n of_o their_o good_a estate_n and_o welfare_n to_o god-ward_o than_o the_o confess_v of_o their_o sin_n how_o particular_o soever_o they_o be_v make_v for_o they_o be_v no_o good_a evidence_n thereof_o yea_o and_o not_o only_o so_o but_o let_v they_o as_o well_o beware_v that_o other_o show_v of_o godliness_n as_o weep_v for_o sin_n sometime_o do_v not_o deceive_v they_o or_o any_o other_o common_a gift_n of_o the_o spirit_n as_o to_o be_v sometime_o well_o move_v at_o a_o sermon_n for_o none_o of_o they_o can_v witness_v their_o assurance_n or_o be_v sound_a and_o clear_a proof_n to_o they_o of_o their_o salvation_n and_o therefore_o let_v other_o weak_a christian_n take_v heed_n that_o they_o be_v not_o offend_v neither_o take_v occasion_n to_o depart_v from_o their_o good_a beginning_n in_o their_o profession_n when_o they_o shall_v see_v such_o who_o be_v of_o good_a hope_n to_o go_v away_o from_o the_o good_a that_o seem_v to_o be_v in_o they_o neither_o let_v they_o our_o conscience_n before_o god_n and_o man_n and_o that_o we_o depart_v from_o iniquity_n and_o be_v not_o taint_v or_o brand_v with_o any_o kind_n thereof_o willing_o doct._n 23._o the_o hypocrite_n betray_v himself_o even_o in_o his_o best_a action_n i_o will_v now_o proceed_v to_o the_o four_o and_o last_o point_n he_o do_v not_o show_v himself_o to_o be_v the_o same_o he_o be_v before_o i_o say_v therefore_o that_o saul_n even_o in_o his_o confession_n show_v himself_o a_o hypocrite_n and_o that_o by_o his_o own_o word_n who_o be_v so_o accustom_v to_o accuse_v sin_n by_o hollow_a and_o slight_a deal_n that_o even_o now_o when_o he_o be_v at_o the_o best_a and_o come_v most_o near_o to_o repentance_n of_o all_o other_o time_n yet_o even_o now_o i_o say_v he_o can_v not_o be_v free_a from_o it_o for_o lest_o he_o shall_v have_v lay_v too_o great_a fault_n on_o himself_o in_o confess_v his_o sin_n therefore_o say_v i_o have_v sin_v therefore_o he_o say_v note_n i_o be_v afraid_a if_o i_o have_v not_o yield_v to_o they_o contrary_a to_o god_n commandment_n to_o save_v alive_a the_o best_a of_o the_o cattle_n that_o they_o will_v have_v rebel_v and_o have_v rise_v up_o a_o that_o he_o himself_o turn_v to_o the_o prey_n so_o that_o as_o he_o be_v hardly_o bring_v thus_o far_o as_o to_o confess_v his_o sin_n so_o yet_o when_o he_o do_v it_o it_o be_v for_o fear_n of_o lose_v his_o kingdom_n yet_o even_o this_o which_o seem_v good_a in_o he_o be_v corrupt_a and_o naught_o for_o beside_o that_o he_o bewray_v so_o much_o himself_o as_o i_o have_v say_v by_o excuse_v his_o fact_n so_o do_v the_o spirit_n of_o god_n by_o samuel_n bewray_v the_o same_o in_o the_o next_o verse_n where_o he_o plain_o show_v that_o he_o do_v not_o accept_v nor_o allow_v of_o it_o what_o shall_v we_o say_v then_o if_o it_o be_v thus_o trade_n true_o this_o that_o it_o be_v a_o hard_a thing_n for_o a_o hypocrite_n to_o leave_v and_o forgo_v his_o trade_n of_o dissemble_v even_o
