of_o gold_n with_o picture_n of_o silver_n meaning_n that_o as_o the_o one_o be_v pleasant_a to_o the_o eye_n to_o behold_v and_o look_v upon_o so_o the_o other_o be_v or_o aught_o to_o be_v as_o pleasant_a and_o delectable_a to_o the_o ear_n heart_n and_o mind_n of_o man_n to_o consider_v of_o &_o ponder_v upon_o or_o like_v unto_o the_o emplaster_n or_o potion_n that_o be_v right_o employ_v of_o the_o learned_a and_o skilful_a physician_n and_o expert_a chirurgeon_n to_o the_o party_n disease_v or_o member_n affect_v for_o as_o we_o say_v to_o come_v in_o time_n be_v the_o chief_a thereof_o second_o what_o be_v the_o effect_n and_o fruit_n thereof_o lay_v down_o in_o the_o latter_a part_n of_o that_o v._o three_o what_o be_v the_o help_n &_o remedy_n of_o every_o such_o scripture_n but_o first_o let_v we_o consider_v what_o coherence_n or_o reference_n it_o may_v have_v with_o other_o place_n of_o like_a nature_n for_o in_o jeremy_n the_o 15._o chap._n v._o 1._o it_o be_v say_v upon_o like_a occasion_n though_o moses_n &_o samuel_n stand_v before_o i_o yet_o my_o affection_n can_v not_o be_v towards_o this_o people_n the_o sense_n or_o meaning_n of_o both_o which_o place_n be_v thus_o that_o there_o be_v no_o entreaty_n with_o the_o lord_n for_o the_o wicked_a and_o unrepentant_a people_n of_o the_o world_n but_o in_o no_o case_n any_o prejudice_n unto_o the_o faithful_a flock_n of_o jesus_n christ_n for_o as_o we_o may_v see_v how_o absolute_o the_o lord_n refuse_v to_o hear_v moses_n and_o samuel_n pray_v for_o they_o yet_o it_o shut_v not_o the_o door_n of_o repentance_n to_o the_o faithful_a and_o penitent_a as_o we_o find_v in_o verse_n 15._o &_o 19_o where_o the_o lord_n both_o promise_v unto_o jeremy_n that_o if_o he_o will_v return_v unto_o he_o and_o the_o people_n with_o he_o they_o shall_v be_v bring_v again_o and_o stand_v before_o the_o lord_n and_o jeremy_n for_o his_o own_o part_n notwithstanding_o the_o former_a communication_n pray_v say_v o_o lord_n thou_o know_v remember_v i_o and_o visit_v and_o revenge_v i_o of_o my_o persecutor_n take_v i_o not_o away_o in_o the_o continuance_n of_o thy_o wrath_n etc._n access_n unto_o the_o throne_n of_o grace_n so_o oft_o as_o they_o shall_v return_v unto_o the_o lord_n their_o god_n which_o make_v much_o for_o the_o consolation_n of_o the_o godly_a as_o on_o the_o contrary_a part_n it_o may_v increase_v the_o terror_n &_o trouble_n of_o the_o wicked_a more_o and_o more_o which_o doctrine_n the_o prophet_n david_n make_v plain_a ps_n 32._o 10._o saying_n many_o sorrow_n shall_v come_v to_o the_o wicked_a but_o he_o that_o trust_v in_o the_o lord_n mercy_n shall_v embrace_v he_o on_o every_o side_n a_o most_o evident_a example_n we_o have_v of_o this_o in_o the_o destruction_n of_o core_n dathan_n and_o abiram_n with_o their_o company_n &_o the_o deliverance_n of_o moses_n and_o aaron_n with_o their_o partaker_n notwithstanding_o there_o be_v offer_v of_o incense_n on_o both_o side_n yea_o and_o that_o at_o one_o &_o the_o self_n same_o time_n yet_o the_o rebellious_a part_n only_o perish_v and_o the_o obedient_a be_v preserve_v and_o deliver_v again_o when_o the_o plague_n be_v begin_v and_o the_o wrath_n of_o the_o lord_n go_v forth_o for_o the_o murmur_a of_o those_o that_o escape_v the_o swallow_a of_o corah_n as_o be_v read_v in_o the_o same_o chapter_n v._o 14._o so_o that_o there_o die_v 14._o thousand_o and_o seven_o hundred_o in_o a_o short_a time_n and_o the_o lord_n have_v say_v that_o he_o will_v destroy_v even_o the_o whole_a congregation_n yet_o when_o aaron_n at_o the_o command_n of_o moses_n have_v take_v a_o censer_n &_o put_v fire_n therein_o of_o the_o altar_n with_o incense_n and_o make_v the_o atonement_n he_o stand_v between_o the_o dead_a and_o the_o live_n the_o plague_n cease_v a_o singular_a document_n for_o we_o at_o this_o day_n who_o stand_v in_o the_o like_a predicament_n of_o punishment_n of_o for_o as_o they_o be_v punish_v with_o the_o plague_n of_o pestiilence_n for_o their_o rebellion_n against_o the_o minister_n of_o god_n enen_fw-ge so_fw-ge we_o for_o our_o rebellion_n against_o the_o word_n of_o god_n with_o dearth_n and_o famine_n and_o therefore_o have_v need_n to_o take_v our_o censer_n that_o be_v our_o heart_n and_o put_v fire_n therein_o as_o solomon_n say_v in_o the_o person_n of_o wisdom_n my_o son_n give_v i_o thy_o heart_n and_o put_v therein_o the_o fire_n and_o zeal_n that_o we_o may_v be_v fervent_a in_o prayer_n and_o call_v upon_o the_o name_n of_o the_o lord_n earnest_o as_o our_o high_a priest_n jesus_n christ_n have_v teach_v by_o his_o own_o example_n who_o in_o his_o agony_n when_o the_o hand_n of_o the_o lord_n be_v upon_o he_o as_o we_o read_v in_o s._n luke_n chap._n 22._o verse_n 44._o pray_v most_o instant_o this_o be_v the_o very_a doctrine_n of_o this_o place_n for_o what_o do_v the_o prophet_n else_o mean_a when_o he_o say_v though_o no_n daniel_n &_o job_n that_o be_v among_o they_o but_o this_o that_o such_o man_n as_o these_o be_v who_o call_v upon_o the_o name_n of_o the_o lord_n in_o their_o trouble_n as_o daniel_n preach_v his_o word_n faithful_o as_o no_n and_o practise_v the_o same_o effectual_o in_o their_o conversation_n as_o job_n do_v shall_v deliver_v their_o own_o soul_n by_o their_o righteousness_n that_o be_v such_o as_o repent_v they_o true_o of_o their_o sin_n and_o put_v their_o trust_n in_o the_o lord_n even_o as_o solomon_n likewise_o teach_v say_v when_o there_o shall_v be_v famine_n in_o the_o land_n when_o there_o shall_v be_v pestilence_n blast_v or_o mildew_n groshopper_n or_o caterpillar_n when_o the_o enemy_n shall_v besiege_v they_o in_o the_o city_n of_o the_o land_n or_o any_o plague_n or_o any_o sickness_n then_o what_o prayer_n or_o supplication_n soever_o shall_v be_v make_v of_o any_o man_n or_o of_o all_o thy_o people_n israel_n when_o every_o one_o shall_v know_v his_o own_o plague_n and_o his_o own_o disease_n &_o shall_v stretch_v forth_o his_o hand_n towards_o this_o house_n mean_v the_o temple_n hear_v thou_o then_o in_o heaven_n thy_o dwell_a place_n meat_n wine_n drink_n &c_n &c_n some_o in_o hawk_v hunt_a cockfighting_n bear-baiting_a dice_a dance_v and_o other_o in_o tobacco_n take_v dispend_v their_o revenue_n or_o the_o great_a part_n thereof_o for_o what_o be_v it_o to_o see_v a_o young_a man_n of_o twenty_o four_o year_n healthy_a in_o body_n sound_v in_o constitution_n to_o dispend_v a_o hundred_o mark_n per_fw-la annum_fw-la in_o tobacco_n when_o as_o his_o father_n grandfather_n &_o whole_a generation_n before_o he_o happy_o never_n in_o all_o their_o time_n spend_v one_o farthing_n that_o way_n what_o a_o vanity_n be_v it_o then_o for_o a_o man_n to_o spend_v so_o much_o that_o way_n without_o the_o which_o he_o may_v live_v well_o enough_o beside_o if_o a_o man_n shall_v rip_v up_o the_o treachery_n and_o treason_n that_o have_v be_v from_o time_n to_o time_n complot_v among_o the_o rich_a sort_n we_o shall_v find_v it_o most_o true_a that_o solomon_n say_v pro._n 10_o 16._o the_o labour_n of_o the_o righteous_a tend_v to_o life_n but_o the_o revenue_n of_o the_o wicked_a to_o sin_n as_o if_o he_o will_v say_v more_o plain_o the_o wicked_a spend_v all_o their_o land_n rent_n revenue_n &_o live_n for_o the_o most_o part_n in_o evil_a &_o ungodly_a way_n 1._o in_o one_o kind_n of_o vanity_n or_o other_o such_o as_o i_o have_v show_v which_o how_o true_a it_o fall_v out_o in_o these_o day_n who_o see_v not_o among_o all_o which_o wickedness_n vanity_n or_o sin_n there_o be_v not_o a_o great_a in_o my_o opinion_n than_o this_o that_o be_v here_o mention_v in_o this_o sentence_n follow_v he_o that_o with_o draw_v the_o corn_n the_o people_n will_v curse_v etc._n etc._n for_o how_o be_v it_o that_o other_o vanity_n and_o corruption_n do_v bring_v destruction_n to_o the_o doer_n thereof_o and_o
