one_o for_o another_o in_o this_o life_n some_o man_n perchance_o will_v here_o demand_v forsooth_o we_o be_v will_v so_o to_o do_v by_o the_o express_a commandment_n both_o of_o christ_n and_o his_o disciple_n to_o declare_v therein_o aswell_o the_o faith_n that_o we_o have_v in_o christ_n towards_o god_n as_o also_o the_o mutual_a charity_n that_o we_o bear_v one_o towards_o another_o in_o that_o we_o pity_v our_o brother_n case_n and_o make_v our_o humble_a petition_n to_o god_n for_o he_o but_o that_o we_o shall_v pray_v unto_o saintes_n neither_o have_v we_o any_o commandment_n in_o all_o the_o scripture_n nor_o yet_o example_n which_o we_o may_v safe_o follow_v so_o that_o be_v do_v without_o authority_n of_o god_n word_n it_o lack_v the_o ground_n of_o faith_n and_o therefore_o can_v not_o be_v acceptable_a before_o god_n for_o whatsoever_o be_v not_o of_o faith_n be_v sin_n and_o the_o apostle_n say_v 10._o that_o faith_n come_v by_o hear_v and_o hear_v by_o the_o word_n of_o god_n yet_o thou_o will_v object_v further_o that_o the_o saint_n in_o heaven_n do_v pray_v for_o we_o and_o that_o their_o prayer_n proceed_v of_o a_o earnest_a charity_n that_o they_o have_v about_o to_o prove_v it_o by_o the_o nature_n of_o charity_n conclude_v that_o because_o they_o do_v pray_v for_o man_n on_o earth_n therefore_o they_o do_v much_o more_o the_o same_o now_o in_o heaven_n then_o may_v it_o be_v say_v by_o the_o same_o reason_n that_o as_o oft_o as_o we_o do_v weep_v on_o earth_n they_o do_v also_o weep_v in_o heaven_n because_o while_o they_o live_v in_o this_o world_n it_o be_v most_o certain_a and_o sure_a they_o do_v so_o and_o for_o that_o place_n which_o be_v write_v in_o the_o apocalips_n namely_o that_o the_o angel_n do_v offer_v up_o the_o prayer_n of_o the_o saint_n upon_o the_o golden_a altar_n it_o be_v proper_o mean_v and_o ought_v proper_o to_o be_v understand_v of_o those_o saint_n that_o be_v yet_o live_v on_o earth_n and_o not_o of_o they_o that_o be_v dead_a otherwise_o what_o need_n be_v it_o that_o the_o angel_n shall_v offer_v up_o their_o prayer_n be_v now_o in_o heaven_n before_o the_o face_n of_o aimightie_a god_n but_o admit_v the_o saint_n do_v pray_v for_o we_o yet_o do_v we_o not_o know_v how_o whether_o special_o for_o they_o which_o call_v upon_o they_o or_o else_o general_o for_o all_o man_n wish_v well_o to_o every_o man_n a_o like_a if_o they_o pray_v special_o for_o they_o which_o call_v upon_o they_o than_o it_o be_v like_a they_o hear_v our_o prayer_n and_o also_o know_v our_o heart_n desire_v which_o thing_n to_o be_v false_a it_o be_v already_o prove_v both_o by_o the_o scripture_n and_o also_o by_o the_o authority_n of_o augustine_n let_v we_o not_o therefore_o put_v our_o trust_n or_o confidence_n in_o the_o saint_n or_o martyr_n that_o be_v dead_a let_v we_o not_o call_v upon_o they_o nor_o desire_v help_n at_o their_o hand_n but_o let_v we_o always_o lift_v up_o our_o heart_n to_o god_o in_o the_o name_n of_o his_o dear_a son_n christ_n for_o who_o sake_n as_o god_n have_v promise_v to_o hear_v our_o prayer_n so_o he_o will_v true_o perform_v it_o invocation_n be_v a_o thing_n proper_a unto_o god_n which_o if_o we_o attribute_v unto_o the_o saint_n it_o sound_v to_o their_o reproach_n neither_o can_v they_o well_o bear_v it_o at_o our_o hand_n when_o paul_n have_v 14._o heal_v a_o certain_a lame_a man_n which_o be_v impotent_a in_o his_o foot_n at_o listra_n the_o people_n will_v have_v do_v sacrifice_n to_o he_o and_o barnabas_n who_o we_o if_o we_o call_v upon_o he_o in_o time_n of_o trouble_n so_o that_o in_o both_o these_o respect_n we_o ought_v rather_o to_o call_v upon_o he_o then_o upon_o any_o other_o neither_o ought_v any_o if_o so_o godly_a man_n as_o they_o be_v which_o otherwise_o feel_v inward_o god_n holy_a spitite_n inflame_a in_o their_o heart_n with_o she_o fear_v and_o love_n of_o god_n can_v not_o by_o their_o own_o strength_n keep_v themselves_o from_o commit_v horrible_a sin_n but_o do_v so_o greevousâ—y_o fall_v that_o without_o god_n great_a mercy_n they_o have_v perish_v everlasting_o how_o much_o himself_o &_o evermore_o be_v without_o danger_n of_o penury_n and_o scarcity_n concern_v the_o first_o which_o be_v the_o acceptation_n and_o dignity_n or_o price_n of_o alm_n deed_n before_o god_n know_v this_o that_o to_o help_v and_o succour_v the_o poor_a in_o their_o need_n and_o misery_n please_v god_n so_o much_o that_o as_o the_o holy_a scripture_n in_o sundry_a place_n record_v work_v the_o mystery_n of_o our_o salvation_n so_o at_o his_o departure_n hence_o he_o promise_v in_o his_o steed_n to_o send_v unto_o we_o those_o that_o be_v poor_a by_o who_o mean_n his_o absence_n due_a to_o his_o true_a promise_n alm_n deed_n do_v wash_v away_o our_o sin_n because_o god_n do_v vouchsafe_v then_o to_o repute_v we_o as_o clean_o and_o pure_a when_o we_o do_v they_o for_o his_o sake_n and_o not_o because_o they_o deserve_v or_o merit_v our_o purge_n or_o for_o that_o they_o have_v any_o such_o strength_n and_o virtue_n in_o themselves_o i_o know_v that_o some_o man_n to_o much_o addict_v to_o the_o advance_n of_o their_o good_a work_n will_v not_o be_v content_v with_o this_o answer_n &_o no_o marvel_n for_o such_o man_n can_v not_o answer_v content_a nor_o suffice_v wherefore_o leave_v they_o to_o their_o own_o wilful_a sense_n we_o will_v rather_o have_v regard_n to_o the_o reasonable_a and_o godly_a who_o as_o they_o most_o certain_o know_v and_o persuade_v themselves_o that_o all_o goodness_n all_o bounty_n all_o mercy_n all_o benefit_n all_o forgiveness_n of_o sin_n &_o whatsoever_o can_v be_v name_v good_a and_o profitable_a either_o for_o the_o body_n or_o for_o the_o soul_n do_v come_v only_o of_o god_n mercy_n and_o mere_a favour_n &_o not_o of_o themselves_o so_o though_o they_o do_v never_o so_o many_o &_o so_o excellent_a good_a deed_n themselves_o sinful_a wretch_n unworthy_a to_o look_v up_o to_o heaven_n call_v and_o crave_v for_o mercy_n that_o with_o the_o publican_n they_o may_v be_v pronounce_v of_o christ_n to_o be_v a_o comfortable_a argument_n of_o god_n singular_a favour_n and_o love_n that_o attribute_v that_o unto_o we_o and_o to_o our_o do_n that_o he_o by_o his_o spirit_n work_v in_o we_o and_o through_o his_o grace_n procure_v for_o we_o and_o yet_o this_o notwithstanding_o they_o cry_v out_o with_o saint_n paul_n oh_o wretch_n that_o we_o be_v &_o acknowledge_v as_o christ_n teach_v that_o when_o third_o part_n will_v i_o take_v away_o that_o let_v that_o hinder_v many_o from_o do_v they_o there_o be_v many_o that_o when_o they_o hear_v how_o acceptable_a a_o thing_n in_o the_o sight_n of_o god_n the_o give_v of_o alm_n be_v and_o how_o much_o god_n extend_v his_o favour_n towards_o they_o that_o be_v merciful_a and_o what_o fruit_n and_o commodity_n do_v come_v to_o they_o by_o it_o they_o wish_v very_o glad_o with_o themselves_o that_o they_o also_o may_v obtain_v these_o benefit_n and_o be_v count_v such_o of_o god_n as_o who_o he_o will_v love_v or_o do_v for_o but_o yet_o these_o man_n be_v with_o greedy_a covetousness_n so_o pull_v back_o that_o they_o will_v not_o bestow_v one_o half_a penny_n or_o one_o shive_n of_o bread_n that_o they_o may_v be_v think_v worthy_a of_o god_n benefit_n and_o so_o to_o come_v into_o his_o favour_n for_o they_o be_v evermore_o fearful_a and_o doubt_v least_o by_o often_o give_v although_o it_o be_v but_o a_o little_a at_o a_o time_n they_o shall_v consume_v their_o good_n and_o so_o impoverish_v themselves_o that_o even_o themselves_o at_o the_o length_n shall_v not_o be_v able_a to_o live_v but_o shall_v be_v drive_v to_o beg_v and_o live_v of_o other_o man_n alm_n and_o thus_o they_o seek_v excuse_n to_o withhold_v themselves_o from_o the_o favour_n of_o god_n and_o choose_v with_o pinch_a covetousness_n rather_o to_o lean_v unto_o the_o devil_n then_o by_o charitable_a mercifulness_n either_o to_o come_v unto_o christ_n or_o to_o suffer_v christ_n to_o come_v unto_o they_o oh_o that_o we_o have_v some_o cunning_a and_o skilful_a physician_n that_o be_v able_a to_o purge_v they_o of_o this_o so_o pestilent_a a_o humour_n that_o so_o sore_o infect_v not_o their_o body_n but_o their_o mind_n and_o so_o by_o corrupt_v their_o soul_n bring_v their_o body_n and_o soul_n into_o danger_n of_o hell_n fire_n now_o lest_o there_o be_v any_o such_o among_o we_o dear_o belove_v let_v we_o diligent_o search_v for_o that_o physician_n which_o be_v jesus_n christ_n and_o earnest_o labour_v that_o of_o his_o mercy_n he_o will_v true_o instruct_v we_o and_o geve_v we_o a_o present_a remedy_n against_o so_o perilous_a a_o disease_n harken_v then_o whosoever_o thou_o be_v that_o fear_v least_o by_o geve_v to_o the_o poor_a thou_o shall_v bring_v thyself_o to_o beggary_n that_o which_o thou_o take_v from_o shall_v suffer_v great_a poverty_n himself_o how_o far_o different_a than_o be_v the_o judgement_n of_o man_n from_o the_o judgement_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n the_o holy_a apostle_n paul_n a_o man_n full_a of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n and_o make_v privy_a even_o of_o the_o secret_a will_n of_o god_n teach_v that_o the_o liberal_a alm_n giver_n shall_v not_o thereby_o be_v impoverish_v he_o that_o minister_v say_v he_o seed_n unto_o the_o sour_a 9_o will_v minister_v also_o bread_n unto_o you_o for_o food_n yea_o he_o will_v multiply_v your_o seed_n and_o increase_v the_o fruit_n of_o your_o &_o work_v a_o work_n of_o righteousness_n she_o be_v content_a present_o to_o hazard_v she_o own_o and_o her_o son_n life_n and_o you_o who_o have_v great_a plenty_n of_o meat_n and_o drink_v great_a store_n of_o motheaten_a apparel_n yea_o many_o of_o you_o great_a heap_n of_o gold_n &_o silver_n and_o he_o that_o have_v least_o have_v more_o than_o sufficient_a now_o in_o this_o time_n when_o thanks_n be_v to_o god_n no_o great_a famine_n do_v oppress_v you_o your_o child_n be_v well_o clothe_v and_o well_o feed_v &_o no_o danger_n of_o death_n for_o famine_n to_o be_v fear_v will_v rather_o cast_v doubt_n &_o peril_n of_o unlikely_a penury_n than_o you_o will_v part_v with_o any_o piece_n of_o your_o superfluity_n to_o help_v to_o feed_v and_o succour_v the_o poor_a hungry_a &_o dungeon_n harken_v therefore_o you_o merciless_a miser_n what_o will_v be_v the_o end_n of_o this_o your_o unmerciful_a deal_n as_o certain_o as_o god_n nourish_v this_o poor_a widow_n in_o the_o time_n of_o famine_n and_o increase_v her_o little_a store_n so_o that_o she_o have_v enough_o and_o feel_v no_o penury_n when_o other_o pine_a away_o so_o certain_o shall_v god_n plague_v you_o
the_o danger_n of_o your_o soul_n so_o now_o like_o obedient_a child_n thus_o purify_v by_o faith_n geve_v yourselves_o to_o walk_v that_o way_n which_o god_n move_v you_o to_o that_o you_o may_v spare_v of_o the_o amalechite_n to_o the_o honour_n and_o service_n of_o god_n yet_o saul_n be_v reprove_v for_o his_o wrong_a mercy_n and_o devotion_n and_o be_v tell_v that_o obedience_n will_v 2._o if_o we_o suffer_v to_o be_v evil_o speak_v of_o for_o the_o love_n of_o christ_n this_o be_v thankful_a afore_o god_n for_o so_o do_v christ_n suffer_v he_o never_o do_v sin_n neither_o be_v friend_n as_o foe_n like_o obedient_a child_n after_o the_o example_n of_o our_o good_a father_n in_o heaven_n for_o if_o christ_n be_v obedient_a to_o his_o father_n even_o to_o the_o death_n and_o
