affliction_n he_o see_v and_o shall_v deliver_v they_o thereof_o 3._o even_o as_o he_o do_v his_o people_n of_o israel_n forth_o of_o the_o hand_n of_o pharaoh_n without_o all_o our_o deserving_n or_o merit_n therefore_o let_v we_o not_o look_v upon_o our_o merit_n worthiness_n or_o unworthines_n but_o only_o to_o his_o mercy_n and_o goodness_n put_v all_o our_o trust_n hope_v and_o belief_n into_o be_v my_o only_a refuge_n and_o strength_n unwinneable_a in_o all_o my_o trouble_n and_o adversity_n therefore_o my_o well-beloved_a brother_n let_v we_o rejoice_v great_o of_o this_o our_o little_a trouble_n and_o affliction_n 1._o and_o consider_v they_o to_o be_v good_a &_o not_o evil_a the_o sign_n and_o token_n of_o the_o goodwill_n of_o god_n towards_o we_o &_o not_o of_o ire_n nor_o prophet_n david_n teach_v we_o say_v call_v upon_o i_o in_o the_o day_n of_o thy_o trouble_n &_o i_o shall_v deliver_v thou_o 49._o and_o thou_o shall_v honour_v i_o that_o be_v believe_v i_o ever_o present_a with_o they_o which_o unfeigned_o call_v upon_o i_o and_o i_o shall_v not_o abstract_n my_o favour_n help_v and_o supply_v from_o they_o but_o shall_v so_o deliver_v they_o that_o they_o may_v therefore_o give_v i_o great_a thanks_n and_o praise_n for_o i_o desire_v no_o other_o thing_n of_o man_n this_o manner_n of_o trouble_n bring_v patience_n 5._o and_o patience_n proufe_v and_o proufe_v hope_v which_o frustrate_v not_o but_o great_o comfort_n the_o faithful_a the_o world_n have_v another_o judgement_n of_o this_o trouble_n and_o the_o wicked_a man_n when_o the_o same_o happen_v to_o he_o he_o grudge_v &_o murmur_n contrary_a god_n say_v why_o have_v god_n punish_v i_o what_o have_v i_o do_v to_o be_v punish_v of_o this_o manner_n then_o gather_v he_o in_o his_o hart_n have_v i_o do_v this_o thing_n or_o that_o thing_n soght_v this_o remeady_a or_o that_o remedy_n these_o thing_n have_v not_o happen_v to_o i_o and_o so_o think_v that_o they_o be_v come_v to_o he_o either_o by_o chance_n or_o fortune_n or_o neglect_v of_o manly_a wisdom_n thus_o he_o flee_v from_o god_n and_o turn_v to_o the_o help_n of_o man_n which_o be_v vain_a 108._o in_o the_o which_o find_v no_o remedy_n final_o in_o his_o wickedness_n despair_n for_o he_o can_v do_v no_o other_o thing_n because_o all_o thing_n wherein_o he_o put_v his_o trust_n &_o belief_n have_v leave_v he_o and_o so_o rest_v no_o consolation_n the_o four_o chap._n 1_o what_o do_v the_o faithful_a in_o time_n of_o tribulation_n 2_o what_o we_o have_v of_o our_o own_o nature_n and_o what_o of_o jesus_n these_o bodily_a affliction_n that_o the_o dregs_n of_o sin_n may_v be_v mortify_v in_o we_o the_o which_o we_o have_v of_o our_o forefather_n adam_n this_o corruption_n of_o nature_n teach_v we_o what_o we_o have_v of_o our_o first_o parent_n and_o what_o we_o be_v of_o ourselves_o which_o be_v consider_v shall_v lead_v we_o to_o the_o knowledge_n of_o god_n in_o who_o we_o shall_v find_v goodness_n mercy_n

all_o to_o himself_o say_v come_v unto_o i_o all_o you_o which_o labour_n 1●_n and_o be_v lade_v with_o sin_n and_o i_o shall_v refresh_v you_o and_o peter_n say_v there_o be_v no_o salvation_n but_o in_o jesu_n christ_n 4._o nor_o no_o other_o name_n give_v under_o heaven_n by_o the_o which_o man_n may_v obtain_v salvation_n therefore_o since_o no_o other_o may_v save_v but_o he_o we_o shall_v put_v all_o our_o trust_n &_o hope_v in_o he_o and_o in_o his_o mercy_n only_o and_o neither_o in_o the_o law_n nor_o work_n for_o to_o all_o they_o which_o think_v they_o may_v be_v safe_a by_o those_o be_v to_o exclude_v work_n forth_o of_o this_o article_n christ._n now_o since_o the_o scripture_n teach_v we_o so_o plain_o that_o christ_n be_v our_o justice_n our_o saviour_n and_o redeamer_n satisfaction_n for_o our_o sin_n the_o end_n and_o consommation_n of_o the_o law_n and_o have_v free_v we_o from_o the_o law_n sin_n and_o death_n and_o from_o the_o kingdom_n of_o satan_n our_o adversary_n and_o buy_v we_o to_o the_o kingdom_n of_o righteousness_n without_o our_o merit_n or_o deserving_n why_o will_v we_o usurp_v his_o office_n to_o ourselves_o and_o spoil_n christ_n of_o his_o glory_n or_o be_v come_v thrall_n again_o to_o that_o thing_n from_o the_o which_o christ_n have_v free_v us._n glory_n the_o which_o we_o do_v if_o we_o be_v participant_a with_o christ_n in_o the_o make_n of_o ourselves_o just_a or_o mix_v any_o work_n with_o the_o article_n of_o iustication_n the_o xix_o chap._n 1_o as_o the_o good_a tree_n bear_v good_a fruit_n so_o the_o good_a man_n work_v good_a work_n 2_o but_o as_o the_o fruit_n make_v not_o the_o tree_n good_a so_o work_n make_v not_o the_o man_n just_a 3_o for_o as_o the_o tree_n be_v before_o the_o fruit_n so_o the_o man_n be_v just_a before_o the_o work_n be_v good_a 4_o the_o cause_n why_o we_o shall_v work_v good_a work_n 5_o the_o captain_n in_o the_o kingdom_n of_o christ_n his_o subject_n and_o reward_n and_o of_o his_o adversary_n satan_n this_o faith_n which_o only_o justifi_v and_o give_v life_n be_v not_o idle_a nor_o remain_v alone_o nevertheless_o it_o alone_o justifi_v and_o then_o it_o work_v by_o charity_n for_o unfeigned_a faith_n may_v no_o more_o abide_v idle_a from_o work_v in_o love_n then_o the_o good_a tree_n may_v from_o bring_v forth_o her_o fruit_n in_o due_a time_n and_o yet_o the_o fruit_n be_v not_o the_o cause_n of_o the_o tree_n nor_o make_v the_o tree_n good_a but_o the_o tree_n be_v the_o cause_n of_o the_o fruit_n and_o the_o good_a tree_n bring_v forth_o good_a fruit_n by_o the_o which_o it_o be_v know_v good_a even_o so_o it_o be_v of_o the_o faithful_a man_n the_o work_n make_v he_o not_o faithful_a nor_o just_a nor_o yet_o be_v the_o cause_n thereof_o but_o the_o faithful_a and_o just_a man_n bring_v forth_o and_o make_v good_a work_n to_o the_o honour_n &_o glory_n of_o god_n &_o profit_n of_o his_o neighbour_n which_o bear_v witness_v of_o his_o inward_a faith_n and_o testify_v he_o to_o be_v just_a before_o man_n therefore_o you_o must_v be_v just_a and_o good_a or_o ever_o you_o work_v good_a work_n 7._o for_o christ_n say_v may_v you_o gather_v grape_n of_o thorn_n or_o fig_n of_o thrisle_n no_o no_o it_o be_v contrary_a their_o nature_n even_o so_o it_o be_v with_o man_n till_o he_o be_v make_v just_a by_o faith_n as_o it_o be_v before_o writtin_n he_o may_v never_o do_v a_o good_a work_n but_o what_o ever_o he_o do_v be_v sin_n for_o all_o which_o be_v not_o of_o faith_n be_v sin_n and_o christ_n say_v to_o the_o pharisy_n how_o can_v you_o speak_v good_a while_o you_o be_v yet_o evil_a therefore_o or_o ever_o we_o speak_v good_a or_o do_v good_a we_o must_v be_v make_v good_a &_o that_o by_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n through_o faith_n in_o christ_n 12._o without_o all_o our_o deserve_n then_o shall_v we_o work_v all_o good_a work_n in_o the_o kingdom_n of_o christ_n as_o his_o faithful_a subject_n there_o be_v two_o kingdom_n &_o two_o kind_a of_o subject_n kingdom_n which_o be_v direct_v contrary_a to_o other_o because_o there_o prince_n be_v as_o contrary_a as_o be_v light_a &_o darkness_n nature_n that_o be_v to_o say_v the_o kingdom_n of_o christ_n and_o the_o kingdom_n of_o the_o devil_n to_o the_o kingdom_n of_o the_o devil_n man_n be_v of_o his_o own_o nature_n a_o perfect_a subject_n &_o the_o son_n of_o ire_n &_o wrath_n 1._o to_o the_o kingdom_n of_o christ_n man_n be_v make_v subject_n through_o his_o second_o birth_n or_o regeneration_n which_o be_v by_o baptism_n in_o the_o blood_n of_o christ._n to_o this_o kingdom_n man_n be_v buy_v neither_o with_o gold_n nor_o silver_n but_o with_o the_o precious_a blood_n of_o the_o son_n of_o god_n christ_n jesus_n and_o so_o be_v make_v servant_n to_o righteousness_n to_o serve_v unto_o life_n therefore_o who_o be_v make_v just_a by_o faith_n through_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n and_o merit_v of_o christ_n jesus_n mun_o in_o faith_n which_o be_v not_o idle_a but_o ever_o work_v in_o love_n serve_v christ_n and_o embrace_v he_o in_o his_o hart_n then_o shall_v he_o remain_v in_o christ_n &_o christ_n in_o he_o by_o the_o which_o prison_n because_o he_o be_v not_o a_o part_n of_o his_o own_o deliverance_n very_o it_o be_v even_o so_o of_o their_o say_n which_o say_v i_o will_v do_v no_o good_a because_o christ_n have_v deliver_v i_o and_o be_v deliver_v i_o will_v sin_v and_o follow_v all_o liberty_n of_o flesh_n wherefore_o shall_v i_o do_v any_o good_a work_n since_o christ_n have_v redeam_v i_o without_o my_o deserve_n my_o heart_n you_o which_o object_n these_o say_n read_v the_o scripture_n and_o you_o shall_v find_v another_o lesson_n teach_v you_o and_o attend_v upon_o your_o schoolmaster_n which_o be_v the_o holy_a spirit_n who_o shall_v teach_v you_o the_o right_a way_n that_o you_o pass_v neither_o to_o the_o right_a hand_n nor_o to_o the_o wrong_n but_o the_o right_n kingly_a way_n that_o be_v way_n to_o confess_v and_o ever_o have_v prent_v in_o your_o heart_n that_o by_o faith_n only_o of_o the_o mercy_n and_o grace_n of_o god_n you_o be_v make_v safe_a and_o then_o follow_v the_o
