the_o corinthian_n 1.8_o 1_o cor._n 1.8_o will_v confirm_v they_o in_o it_o unto_o the_o end_n that_o
our_o own_o as_o for_o their_o wealth_n in_o good_a sort_n and_o thing_n necessary_a to_o this_o life_n so_o for_o their_o health_n and_o therefore_o avoid_v such_o occasion_n as_o whereby_o we_o may_v bring_v their_o health_n in_o danger_n again_o we_o have_v many_o example_n in_o the_o holy_a scripture_n of_o that_o great_a eliah_n of_o our_o saviour_n christ_n jesus_n of_o the_o bless_a apostle_n and_o of_o many_o other_o that_o do_v for_o the_o time_n avoid_v such_o danger_n as_o otherwise_o will_v have_v overtake_v they_o and_o do_v not_o always_o think_v it_o meet_v to_o hazard_v themselves_o in_o every_o occurrent_a danger_n which_o reason_n i_o do_v the_o rather_o in_o this_o place_n bring_v because_o if_o they_o may_v then_o much_o more_o private_a man_n sometime_o may_v for_o the_o time_n withdraw_v themselves_o from_o danger_n now_o if_o here_o it_o be_v object_v and_o say_v that_o avoid_v of_o sickness_n and_o other_o danger_n be_v a_o argument_n of_o distrust_n in_o god_n and_o therefore_o we_o may_v not_o withdraw_v ourselves_o in_o such_o time_n i_o answer_v that_o it_o be_v no_o sure_a argument_n the_o wicked_a indeed_o withdraw_v themselves_o in_o such_o time_n of_o danger_n because_o they_o distrust_v in_o god_n and_o think_v that_o god_n either_o can_v or_o will_v not_o help_v they_o and_o deliver_v they_o from_o the_o danger_n and_o such_o avoid_v of_o sickness_n or_o other_o danger_n be_v wicked_a and_o ungodly_a the_o child_n of_o god_n therefore_o withdraw_v themselves_o because_o they_o know_v that_o it_o be_v lawful_a to_o use_v such_o remedy_n against_o danger_n as_o be_v lawful_a and_o good_a and_o such_o avoid_v be_v lawful_a again_o if_o it_o be_v say_v that_o to_o avoid_v at_o such_o time_n be_v to_o no_o purpose_n because_o god_n have_v certain_o decree_v who_o to_o take_v and_o who_o to_o leave_v at_o such_o time_n and_o none_o but_o they_o alone_o shall_v die_v i_o answer_v that_o in_o like_a sort_n it_o may_v be_v or_o common_a consent_n may_v be_v depute_v to_o regard_v the_o sick_a and_o the_o rest_n may_v avoid_v the_o danger_n but_o if_o there_o be_v but_o one_o he_o be_v so_o to_o be_v careful_a for_o the_o sick_a as_o that_o the_o rest_n of_o the_o church_n may_v not_o be_v deprive_v of_o his_o ministry_n he_o may_v and_o must_v comfort_v the_o sick_a and_o go_v unto_o they_o in_o such_o sort_n and_o so_o near_o as_o he_o well_o can_v without_o danger_n and_o again_o he_o may_v and_o must_v avoid_v manifest_a danger_n for_o the_o good_a of_o the_o rest_n of_o the_o church_n so_o much_o as_o he_o can_v without_o impiety_n neither_o may_v too_o much_o fear_n withdraw_v he_o too_o much_o from_o danger_n neither_o through_o too_o much_o boldness_n may_v he_o thrust_v himself_o too_o much_o into_o danger_n for_o by_o too_o much_o fear_n he_o be_v more_o slow_a to_o the_o work_n of_o christ_n than_o he_o shall_v be_v and_o by_o too_o much_o boldness_n he_o more_o endanger_v both_o himself_o and_o the_o church_n than_o he_o shall_v to_o conclude_v the_o whole_a point_n therefore_o howsoever_o it_o be_v most_o true_a that_o it_o be_v a_o very_a commendable_a thing_n in_o the_o servant_n of_o jesus_n christ_n to_o hazard_v their_o life_n as_o epaphroditus_n do_v for_o the_o work_n of_o christ_n yet_o sometime_o both_o private_a and_o also_o public_a man_n may_v withdraw_v a_o forlorn_a man_n a_o atheist_n a_o reprobate_a or_o be_o i_o not_o rather_o bend_v the_o knee_n of_o my_o soul_n unto_o the_o lord_n for_o his_o mercy_n towards_o i_o to_o hope_v that_o in_o his_o good_a time_n he_o will_v lighten_v his_o understanding_n that_o be_v shut_v up_o in_o ignorance_n or_o raise_v he_o up_o again_o that_o be_v fall_v and_o in_o the_o mean_a time_n to_o bear_v with_o the_o ignorance_n of_o the_o one_o and_o the_o error_n of_o the_o other_o yes_o my_o brethren_n so_o long_o as_o their_o ignorance_n of_o the_o truth_n be_v untainted_a with_o canker_a malice_n against_o the_o truth_n we_o may_v hope_v that_o the_o lord_n will_v call_v they_o at_o the_o sixth_o or_o nine_o or_o some_o good_a hour_n and_o reveal_v his_o holy_a truth_n unto_o they_o and_o in_o the_o mean_a time_n we_o be_v to_o bear_v with_o they_o and_o to_o support_v one_o another_o through_o love_n and_o for_o this_o cause_n the_o holy_a apostle_n when_o the_o word_n which_o they_o such_o as_o under_o a_o colour_n only_o deceive_v and_o have_v no_o soundness_n in_o it_o it_o be_v this_o persuasion_n of_o our_o own_o mind_n touch_v our_o brethren_n that_o they_o be_v in_o one_o covenant_n of_o grace_n with_o we_o that_o they_o be_v member_n of_o the_o same_o mystical_a body_n of_o christ_n jesus_n with_o we_o that_o they_o be_v heir_n of_o the_o same_o salvation_n with_o we_o that_o through_o one_o god_n one_o faith_n one_o baptism_n one_o gospel_n of_o christ_n jesus_n they_o and_o we_o shall_v reign_v together_o in_o one_o kingdom_n it_o be_v this_o i_o say_v that_o link_v we_o in_o the_o true_a bond_n of_o peace_n love_n and_o christianity_n and_o either_o this_o must_v be_v or_o else_o that_o can_v be_v if_o then_o we_o desire_v to_o be_v knit_v together_o in_o the_o true_a bond_n of_o peace_n love_n and_o christianity_n let_v we_o so_o walk_v that_o we_o may_v be_v thus_o persuade_v one_o of_o another_o as_o we_o be_v call_v to_o the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o truth_n so_o let_v we_o walk_v in_o the_o truth_n and_o let_v we_o keep_v fast_o the_o profession_n of_o our_o hope_n unto_o the_o end_n let_v we_o follow_v the_o truth_n in_o love_n and_o in_o all_o thing_n grow_v up_o into_o he_o which_o be_v the_o head_n that_o be_v christ_n root_v &_o build_v in_o he_o &_o establish_v in_o the_o faith_n let_v our_o love_n one_o towards_o another_o abound_v yet_o more_o &_o more_o in_o all_o knowledge_n and_o in_o all_o judgement_n let_v we_o have_v our_o conversation_n such_o as_o become_v the_o saint_n of_o god_n and_o let_v we_o provide_v house_n of_o god_n as_o friend_n my_o next_o observation_n hence_o be_v for_o the_o comfort_n of_o the_o minister_n in_o particular_a the_o apostle_n you_o see_v upon_o the_o faithful_a labour_n of_o those_o that_o have_v labour_v with_o he_o in_o the_o preach_n of_o the_o gospel_n at_o philippi_n pronounce_v that_o their_o name_n be_v in_o the_o book_n of_o life_n whence_o i_o observe_v this_o for_o the_o comfort_n of_o the_o good_a minister_n of_o the_o gospel_n of_o christ_n jesus_n if_o he_o have_v faithful_o and_o painful_o labour_v in_o the_o work_n of_o the_o ministry_n if_o he_o have_v in_o all_o good_a conscience_n instruct_v and_o admonish_v his_o people_n and_o endeavour_v to_o increase_v the_o kingdom_n of_o christ_n jesus_n his_o reward_n be_v with_o god_n and_o his_o these_o thing_n be_v among_o you_o and_o abound_v then_o bless_v shall_v you_o be_v of_o the_o lord_n and_o you_o shall_v eat_v of_o the_o fruit_n of_o your_o way_n but_o if_o he_o look_v for_o judgement_n and_o behold_v oppression_n for_o righteousness_n and_o behold_v a_o cry_n for_o mercy_n and_o behold_v cruelty_n for_o truth_n and_o behold_v falsehood_n for_o peace_n and_o behold_v discord_n for_o love_n and_o behold_v hatred_n for_o integrity_n and_o behold_v dissimulation_n and_o hypocrisy_n for_o holiness_n and_o behold_v profaneness_n and_o all_o kind_n of_o iniquity_n then_o what_o remain_v but_o a_o remove_n of_o our_o candlestick_n out_o of_o his_o place_n what_o but_o a_o fearful_a look_v for_o of_o judgement_n wherein_o shall_v be_v indignation_n and_o wrath_n unto_o they_o that_o disobey_v the_o truth_n and_o obey_v unrighteousness_n see_v therefore_o the_o lord_n in_o his_o tender_a care_n over_o we_o send_v forth_o labourer_n unto_o we_o and_o so_o plentiful_o reward_v their_o holy_a labour_n among_o we_o let_v we_o again_o with_o all_o care_n consider_v what_o he_o require_v of_o we_o for_o such_o his_o care_n over_o we_o and_o in_o all_o peace_n outward_a and_o inward_a with_o god_n in_o their_o soul_n and_o in_o the_o world_n if_o they_o will_v think_v on_o and_o do_v those_o thing_n whereunto_o he_o exhort_v they_o i_o observe_v what_o the_o fruit_n of_o innocence_n piety_n and_o holy_a walk_v with_o god_n and_o man_n be_v the_o god_n of_o peace_n shall_v be_v with_o such_o as_o so_o walk_v to_o give_v they_o his_o peace_n the_o god_n of_o peace_n shall_v be_v with_o we_o if_o we_o walk_v with_o god_n and_o with_o man_n as_o we_o ought_v think_v on_o &_o do_v such_o thing_n as_o be_v good_a &_o accompany_v salvation_n where_o withal_o we_o must_v know_v that_o this_o fruit_n of_o god_n presence_n this_o blessing_n of_o peace_n by_o the_o god_n of_o peace_n follow_v not_o upon_o the_o merit_n and_o worth_n of_o any_o performance_n of_o any_o christian_a piety_n or_o duty_n which_o we_o can_v think_v on_o or_o do_v for_o can_v we_o do_v more_o by_o much_o then_o we_o be_v able_a to_o do_v yet_o shall_v we_o do_v but_o that_o only_a which_o be_v our_o duty_n to_o do_v as_o before_o i_o tell_v you_o and_o where_o nothing_o but_o duty_n be_v perform_v what_o merit_n be_v there_o for_o the_o performance_n nay_o whatsoever_o good_a we_o do_v or_o possible_o can_v do_v it_o be_v so_o pollute_a by_o the_o filthiness_n of_o the_o flesh_n and_o of_o the_o spirit_n wherewithal_o we_o be_v defile_v that_o require_v a_o duty_n of_o we_o to_o think_v on_o and_o do_v these_o thing_n and_o what_o be_v it_o in_o we_o to_o keep_v the_o condition_n be_v it_o in_o we_o to_o think_v on_o and_o do_v these_o then_o the_o lord_n impose_v a_o condition_n upon_o we_o and_o he_o alone_o enable_v we_o to_o the_o performance_n of_o the_o condition_n he_o require_v of_o we_o to_o think_v on_o and_o to_o do_v those_o thing_n which_o be_v true_a honest_a just_a etc._n etc._n and_o he_o alone_o sugge_v unto_o we_o both_o the_o think_n on_o and_o the_o do_v of_o these_o thing_n and_o he_o say_v unto_o we_o all_o man_n not_o only_o the_o good_a and_o godly_a but_o also_o the_o wicked_a and_o ungodly_a these_o thing_n therefore_o we_o be_v to_o think_v on_o and_o to_o do_v and_o so_o our_o apostle_n ourselves_o the_o hatred_n of_o man_n and_o withal_o the_o displeasure_n of_o god_n the_o burden_n will_v be_v too_o heavy_a for_o we_o to_o bear_v let_v we_o therefore_o hearken_v unto_o the_o counsel_n of_o our_o apostle_n and_o let_v we_o think_v on_o and_o do_v whatsoever_o thing_n may_v win_v we_o love_n and_o favour_n with_o man_n so_o that_o withal_o they_o be_v please_v unto_o god_n
