as_o it_o come_v leave_v no_o fruit_n of_o instruction_n or_o consolation_n but_o ordinary_o more_o harden_v and_o tend_v to_o condemnation_n 2._o not_o the_o hear_n of_o the_o word_n make_v it_o powerful_a on_o the_o conscience_n but_o the_o weigh_v it_o for_o let_v a_o man_n hear_v all_o the_o sermon_n in_o the_o world_n if_o he_o weigh_v not_o the_o word_n of_o god_n in_o the_o author_n of_o it_o in_o the_o truth_n in_o the_o eternity_n in_o the_o necessity_n of_o obedience_n unto_o it_o he_o shall_v easy_o loosen_v himself_o from_o obedience_n further_o than_o himself_o list_v but_o mercy_n on_o the_o wicked_a in_o justice_n and_o judgement_n 3._o be_v it_o only_o weigh_v of_o the_o word_n that_o make_v sin_n weighty_a and_o burdensome_a many_o remember_v their_o sin_n but_o weigh_v they_o not_o and_o so_o carry_v they_o light_a than_o a_o feather_n other_o remember_v they_o and_o weigh_v they_o in_o false_a weight_n or_o in_o a_o false_a manner_n or_o lay_v a_o false_a finger_n on_o the_o scale_n our_o own_o judgement_n and_o corrupt_a affection_n be_v as_o false_a weight_n or_o we_o favour_v ourselves_o or_o we_o will_v not_o have_v our_o sin_n so_o heavy_a so_o great_a so_o damnable_a though_o we_o be_v sinner_n as_o other_o man_n be_v but_o if_o we_o weigh_v they_o in_o the_o balance_n of_o the_o law_n we_o shall_v find_v they_o weighty_a and_o exceed_v the_o mountain_n of_o the_o earth_n or_o in_o the_o curse_n of_o the_o law_n we_o shall_v find_v they_o so_o heavy_a as_o they_o weigh_v we_o down_o to_o hell_n or_o in_o the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o gospel_n the_o least_o of_o our_o sin_n so_o heavy_a that_o it_o weigh_v christ_n out_o of_o heaven_n or_o else_o the_o sinner_n for_o ever_o 1._o resolve_v with_o david_n psal._n 112._o 15._o i_o will_v meditate_v on_o thy_o precept_n and_o consider_v thy_o way_n read_v he_o know_v it_o be_v not_o hear_v or_o know_v that_o discern_v between_o truth_n and_o falsehood_n but_o weigh_v and_o discern_v in_o the_o balance_n of_o sound_a judgement_n why_o do_v the_o usurer_n hold_v his_o sin_n or_o the_o drunkard_n or_o the_o sabbath_n breaker_n etc._n etc._n not_o because_o they_o know_v not_o what_o be_v good_a what_o be_v evil_a or_o because_o he_o be_v not_o teach_v but_o he_o weigh_v not_o nor_o consider_v the_o word_n of_o god_n he_o weigh_v the_o word_n in_o his_o false_a weight_n and_o not_o his_o false_a way_n by_o the_o weight_n of_o the_o word_n balance_n of_o the_o sanctuary_n they_o weigh_v not_o the_o sin_n in_o the_o sentence_n of_o the_o law_n nor_o by_o the_o bitter_a end_n but_o present_a profit_n or_o pleasure_n so_o why_o do_v man_n general_o bolster_v themselves_o in_o all_o their_o sin_n and_o embolden_v
