exercise_v ourselves_o in_o other_o duty_n ordinance_n and_o appointment_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n as_o pray_v that_o we_o may_v be_v pardon_v justisied_a save_v that_o the_o lord_n will_v give_v we_o a_o new_a heart_n and_o put_v his_o spirit_n within_o we_o etc._n etc._n though_o not_o as_o condition_n give_v right_o to_o salvation_n for_o no_o act_n of_o we_o lay_v the_o lord_n under_o a_o obligation_n by_o promise_n to_o afford_v these_o to_o we_o all_o be_v from_o mere_a grace_n and_o good_a pleasure_n but_o yet_o as_o a_o man_n may_v have_v purchase_v physic_n that_o will_v cure_v a_o disease_n which_o he_o labour_v under_o he_o may_v have_v pay_v for_o it_o and_o so_o perform_v the_o condition_n and_o have_v right_a to_o it_o yet_o if_o he_o do_v not_o make_v use_n of_o it_o he_o may_v be_v uncare_v so_o believer_n have_v a_o right_n to_o all_o even_a to_o those_o that_o be_v call_v conditional_a promise_n they_o be_v in_o covenant_n all_o be_v they_o 2_o pet._n 1._o 4._o 2_o cor._n 1._o 20._o yet_o if_o they_o do_v not_o make_v use_n of_o these_o they_o may_v come_v short_a of_o mercy_n promise_v not_o because_o they_o fail_v of_o a_o condition_n but_o because_o they_o use_v not_o the_o mean_n to_o the_o fruition_n thereof_o like_a man_n that_o have_v a_o civil_a and_o absolute_a right_n to_o great_a estate_n and_o yet_o be_v without_o the_o comfort_n thereof_o because_o they_o make_v not_o use_v of_o they_o 5._o they_o be_v of_o some_o evidence_a use_n who_o the_o person_n be_v that_o be_v interest_v in_o the_o promise_n though_o other_o promise_n be_v primary_n yet_o these_o be_v secondary_a evidence_n when_o those_o gracious_a qualification_n can_v be_v discern_v they_o be_v useful_a for_o the_o confirmation_n of_o our_o interest_n in_o eternal_a mercy_n they_o give_v a_o description_n of_o the_o person_n and_o be_v so_o far_o distinguish_v as_o when_o they_o be_v see_v we_o may_v measure_v our_o estate_n and_o condition_n by_o they_o thus_o many_o scripture_n speak_v of_o those_o qualification_n not_o as_o condition_n give_v right_a but_o as_o declarative_a evidence_n of_o a_o title_n to_o covenant_n blessing_n even_o to_o salvation_n so_o rev._n 22._o 14._o bless_a be_v they_o that_o do_v his_o commandment_n that_o they_o may_v have_v right_a to_o the_o tree_n of_o life_n not_o that_o their_o keep_n of_o they_o do_v
