jesus_n christ_n be_v lay_v in_o the_o dust_n to_o this_o i_o answer_v 1._o suppose_v that_o jesus_n christ_n shall_v have_v no_o brethren_n conformable_a unto_o he_o in_o glory_n yet_o will_v it_o not_o follow_v from_o hence_o that_o the_o counsel_n or_o design_n of_o god_n to_o make_v he_o the_o first_o bear_v among_o many_o brethren_n shall_v be_v make_v void_a or_o miscarry_v for_o the_o counsel_n or_o design_n of_o god_n in_o this_o behalf_n stand_v main_o and_o principal_o in_o this_o viz._n in_o cast_v this_o honour_n upon_o jesus_n christ_n that_o he_o shall_v be_v a_o person_n the_o child_n of_o man_n if_o they_o be_v not_o most_o shameful_o and_o gross_o neglective_a of_o themselves_o and_o their_o own_o great_a concernment_n may_v come_v to_o partake_v with_o he_o in_o his_o great_a blessedness_n and_o glory_n and_o in_o case_n man_n shall_v prove_v thus_o neglective_a of_o themselves_o and_o so_o as_o voluntary_o to_o deprive_v themselves_o of_o that_o great_a salvation_n which_o jesus_n christ_n out_o of_o his_o great_a love_n and_o with_o the_o sore_a travel_n of_o his_o soul_n have_v prepare_v and_o make_v ready_a for_o they_o yea_o and_o invite_v and_o call_v yea_o and_o press_v upon_o they_o to_o accept_v at_o his_o hand_n yet_o the_o honour_n and_o glory_n of_o a_o signal_n benefactor_n and_o great_a saviour_n shall_v remain_v entire_a unto_o he_o nor_o be_v there_o the_o least_o colour_n or_o pretence_n why_o he_o shall_v suffer_v the_o least_o disparagement_n or_o prejudice_n in_o the_o thought_n either_o of_o man_n or_o angel_n because_o cause_n to_o be_v offend_v with_o these_o man_n for_o their_o unthankfulness_n or_o for_o any_o such_o abuse_n of_o his_o mercy_n or_o good_a thing_n confer_v upon_o they_o without_o which_o it_o be_v unpossible_a for_o he_o to_o attain_v his_o desire_a end_n viz._n a_o increase_n of_o guilt_n and_o condemnation_n upon_o they_o as_o be_v assert_v the_o reason_n be_v because_o according_a to_o our_o late_a assert_v principle_n no_o man_n have_v cause_n to_o be_v offend_v with_o another_o for_o do_v that_o which_o be_v direct_o and_o absolute_o necessary_a for_o the_o bring_v to_o pass_v of_o any_o such_o end_n which_o be_v mature_o and_o according_a to_o sound_a principle_n of_o wisdom_n and_o righteousness_n project_v and_o desire_v by_o he_o nor_n be_v there_o the_o least_o question_n to_o be_v make_v but_o that_o if_o god_n intend_v and_o consequent_o desire_v the_o increase_n of_o guilt_n and_o condemnation_n upon_o the_o generality_n of_o man_n both_o his_o intention_n and_o desire_n in_o this_o kind_n be_v most_o regular_a in_o respect_n of_o all_o regularity_n that_o either_o wisdom_n or_o righteousness_n can_v give_v unto_o they_o not_o will_v it_o much_o if_o any_o thing_n at_o all_o here_o help_v to_o say_v that_o though_o god_n 6._o §._o 6._o do_v not_o intend_v the_o salvation_n of_o the_o generality_n of_o man_n in_o give_v unto_o they_o the_o good_a thing_n of_o this_o life_n to_o enjoy_v so_o abundant_o as_o for_o the_o most_o part_n he_o do_v but_o the_o increase_n of_o their_o guilt_n &_o condemnation_n yet_o in_o as_o much_o as_o no_o particular_a man_n know_v but_o that_o god_n may_v intend_v his_o spiritual_a good_a and_o salvation_n in_o such_o dispensation_n all_o aâ—e_n bind_v to_o conceive_v this_o hope_n of_o themselves_o and_o 28._o former_o cap._n 5._o sect_n 28._o reconcile_a the_o world_n unto_o himself_o that_o by_o the_o mean_n of_o he_o and_o by_o the_o tender_a and_o promise_v of_o forgiveness_n of_o sin_n unto_o the_o power_n of_o god_n by_o which_o faith_n be_v always_o produce_v in_o man_n when_o they_o do_v believe_v shall_v always_o work_v or_o act_n necessitate_o or_o irresistible_o in_o the_o production_n of_o it_o possible_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n by_o which_o man_n under_o signal_n disadvantage_n be_v according_a to_o our_o adversary_n principle_n necessitate_v to_o believe_v may_v but_o to_o prevent_v the_o sin_n of_o unbelief_n in_o all_o man_n in_o order_n to_o their_o non-damnation_n and_o that_o they_o may_v be_v save_v 3._o and_o last_o the_o doctrine_n which_o avouch_v that_o christ_n die_v for_o all_o man_n clear_o resolve_v the_o reprobation_n of_o all_o that_o be_v or_o ever_o come_v to_o be_v reprobate_v into_o themselves_o or_o their_o own_o voluntary_a and_o it_o only_o how_o shall_v we_o escape_v say_v the_o apostle_n if_o we_o neglect_v so_o great_a a_o salvation_n 3_o salvation_n hebr._n 2._o 3_o etc._n etc._n clear_o imply_v that_o if_o they_o do_v not_o neglect_v it_o but_o serious_o and_o diligent_o mind_n and_o look_v after_o it_o they_o shall_v escape_v viz._n the_o wrath_n of_o god_n and_o the_o vengeance_n of_o hell_n fire_n and_o consequent_o be_v save_v otherwise_o in_o case_n their_o regard_n or_o esteem_v of_o this_o salvation_n shall_v be_v accompany_v with_o the_o same_o danger_n or_o destruction_n which_o their_o neglect_n will_v bring_v upon_o they_o the_o apostle_n may_v as_o well_o or_o indeed_o rather_o have_v say_v how_o shall_v we_o escape_v whether_o we_o neglect_v this_o great_a salvation_n or_o no_o any_o way_n considerable_a in_o point_n of_o grace_n with_o that_o great_a and_o bless_a opportunity_n which_o by_o the_o former_a provision_n be_v put_v into_o the_o hand_n of_o the_o world_n and_o this_o way_n i_o mean_v for_o the_o benefit_n and_o blessing_n of_o all_o be_v only_o his_o mere_a will_n and_o pleasure_n suppose_v a_o man_n have_v a_o thousand_o quarter_n of_o wheat_n or_o the_o like_a which_o he_o know_v not_o what_o to_o do_v with_o or_o to_o what_o use_n to_o convert_v it_o but_o only_o to_o the_o relief_n of_o a_o company_n of_o poor_a indigent_a creature_n ready_a to_o be_v affamished_a and_o perish_v through_o hunger_n in_o case_n this_o man_n shall_v actual_o relieve_v only_o two_o or_o three_o person_n in_o this_o distress_n with_o part_n of_o this_o abundance_n gracious_a lovely_a and_o attractive_a to_o the_o heart_n of_o man_n than_o they_o who_o present_v he_o with_o intention_n of_o provide_v only_o for_o a_o few_o thereby_o upon_o what_o term_n soever_o with_o the_o harden_v of_o himself_o against_o and_o neglect_v of_o all_o the_o rest_n be_v incomparable_o far_o the_o great_a number_n in_o their_o great_a extremity_n and_o this_o i_o suppose_v we_o intend_v any_o help_n or_o heal_n by_o it_o unto_o the_o generality_n of_o man_n whereas_o i_o say_v we_o censure_v such_o a_o act_n as_o this_o as_o ill_o consist_v with_o or_o obscure_v the_o
