for_o the_o pardon_n of_o our_o sin_n look_v to_o the_o prayer_n of_o all_o the_o saint_n of_o god_n in_o scripture_n and_o we_o shall_v find_v that_o they_o make_v this_o their_o rock_n and_o with_o the_o church_n of_o god_n but_o alas_o man_n be_v so_o far_o from_o care_n of_o the_o salvation_n of_o their_o neighbour_n that_o man_n of_o the_o same_o family_n be_v careless_a of_o one_o a_o bless_v we_o in_o our_o calling_n for_o the_o relief_n of_o the_o poor_a the_o second_o point_n to_o be_v consider_v in_o this_o rule_n be_v wherein_o this_o blessedness_n do_v consist_v namely_o in_o the_o obtain_n of_o mercy_n he_o that_o show_v mercy_n shall_v find_v mercy_n both_o with_o god_n and_o man_n where_o first_o we_o merit_n may_v see_v the_o error_n of_o the_o church_n of_o rome_n in_o their_o doctrine_n of_o merit_n for_o they_o make_v a_o special_a part_n of_o humane_a satisfaction_n to_o consist_v in_o alm_n deed_n and_o relieve_v of_o the_o poor_a teach_v that_o a_o man_n may_v hereby_o merit_v eternal_a life_n but_o they_o or_o to_o gross_o for_o then_o christ_n will_v not_o have_v say_v bless_a be_v the_o merciful_a for_o they_o shall_v find_v mercy_n but_o rather_o thus_o they_o shall_v find_v justice_n for_o that_o which_o come_v of_o merit_n be_v due_a by_o right_n second_o hereby_o we_o may_v see_v what_o to_o think_v of_o our_o church_n 2_o and_o nation_n in_o respect_n of_o true_a title_n to_o god_n mercy_n for_o only_o the_o merciful_a shall_v find_v mercy_n now_o it_o be_v easy_a to_o go_v through_o all_o order_n and_o condition_n of_o man_n among_o we_o and_o therein_o to_o show_v abundance_n of_o unmercifulnes_n and_o cruelty_n so_o as_o we_o may_v be_v just_o call_v a_o cruel_a people_n and_o therefore_o can_v not_o look_v for_o mercy_n at_o corruption_n but_o not_o whole_o this_o we_o must_v observe_v the_o more_o diligent_o 5â—_n because_o the_o papist_n teach_v otherwise_o to_o wit_n that_o after_o baptism_n and_o regeneration_n sin_n shall_v receive_v if_o they_o that_o seek_v shall_v find_v and_o they_o that_o knock_n shall_v be_v let_v in_o then_o do_v you_o ask_v seek_v and_o knock_v but_o they_o that_o ask_v shall_v receive_v
