behold_v christ_n thy_o saviour_n in_o thy_o heart_n as_o thy_o elder_a brother_n and_o the_o first_o bear_v of_o many_o brethren_n who_o have_v reconcile_v the_o enemy_n of_o his_o eternal_a father_n his_o brother_n so_o unlike_o he_o in_o manner_n and_o by_o the_o coldness_n of_o conversation_n affect_v he_o with_o tediousness_n 3._o because_o the_o first_o bear_v son_n of_o our_o heavenly_a father_n reign_v now_o in_o heaven_n do_v not_o abhor_v the_o base_a and_o obscure_a dwell_n of_o his_o brother_n remain_v in_o exile_n but_o be_v please_v to_o dwell_v in_o it_o 3_o observe_v thyself_o to_o be_v distance_v from_o so_o love_v a_o brother_n and_o complain_v of_o thy_o misery_n wish_v ardent_o by_o prayer_n his_o intimous_a familiarity_n and_o propose_v to_o thyself_o that_o all_o thing_n necessary_a to_o obtain_v this_o gift_n be_v to_o be_v perform_v of_o thou_o 4_o love_v he_o with_o all_o thy_o power_n which_o thou_o shall_v do_v if_o thou_o do_v effectual_o propose_v we_o repent_v for_o our_o sin_n when_o we_o desire_v and_o purpose_n to_o shun_v they_o when_o in_o the_o discussion_n of_o the_o conscience_n we_o shall_v understand_v that_o they_o be_v evil_a and_o displease_v unto_o god_n for_o the_o evil_n which_o either_o out_o of_o ignorance_n or_o infirmity_n or_o yet_o or_o malice_n we_o have_v commit_v this_o discussion_n and_o this_o examination_n do_v detect_v &_o set_v they_o before_o the_o eye_n of_o the_o mind_n that_o they_o may_v be_v lament_v and_o blot_v out_o therefore_o the_o thing_n which_o we_o have_v commit_v with_o more_o precipitancy_n than_o prudence_n and_o fear_v to_o be_v evil_a we_o must_v diligent_o discuss_v and_o by_o a_o wise_a retractation_n inquire_v whether_o they_o be_v just_a or_o unjust_a profitable_a or_o unprofitable_a hence_o we_o may_v collect_v that_o who_o do_v not_o often_o examine_v themselves_o can_v seldom_o or_o never_o have_v a_o right_n and_o sanctify_a life_n for_o even_o as_o a_o true_a repentance_n put_v away_o his_o indignation_n and_o obtain_v his_o mercy_n and_o favour_n therefore_o the_o discussion_n of_o conscience_n be_v availcable_a hereunto_o that_o we_o may_v detest_v and_o lament_v our_o sin_n thus_o holy_a david_n stir_v up_o himself_o to_o the_o destruction_n of_o his_o sin_n 6._o psal_n 6._o i_o be_o weary_a of_o my_o groan_v every_o night_n wash_v i_o
