to_o pray_v which_o be_v a_o humble_a frame_n a_o turn_a frame_n from_o their_o sin_n neither_o do_v god_n make_v the_o promise_n in_o either_o of_o both_o those_o place_n to_o depend_v upon_o any_o of_o these_o duty_n name_v not_o so_o much_o as_o prayer_n itself_o therefore_o for_o the_o clear_n these_o text_n i_o pray_v consider_v these_o thing_n which_o may_v be_v useful_a for_o we_o for_o the_o right_a understanding_n the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n and_o the_o nature_n of_o it_o i._o that_o the_o duty_n here_o require_v by_o god_n from_o his_o people_n be_v the_o way_n wherein_o it_o be_v his_o will_n his_o people_n shall_v walk_v in_o receive_v mercy_n they_o be_v not_o precedent_n in_o order_n of_o time_n before_o the_o lord_n intitul_a the_o soul_n to_o the_o whole_a covenant_n of_o grace_n and_o every_o promise_v contain_v in_o it_o no_o nor_o so_o much_o as_o in_o order_n of_o nature_n that_o be_v that_o it_o must_v be_v presuppose_v that_o the_o soul_n have_v perform_v those_o that_o be_v the_o most_o contrite_a and_o the_o most_o broken_n 2._o if_o the_o promise_n of_o life_n and_o salvation_n be_v make_v only_o to_o those_o that_o be_v contrite_a yet_o that_o contrition_n can_v proceed_v from_o nothing_o else_o but_o the_o particular_a application_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n to_o himself_o all_o fullness_n be_v appoint_v by_o the_o father_n to_o dwell_v in_o christ_n and_o whatever_o grace_n the_o soul_n receive_v must_v be_v a_o influence_n that_o flow_v down_o from_o the_o grace_n of_o jesus_n christ_n iii_o there_o be_v a_o three_o ground_n and_o that_o be_v this_o that_o it_o be_v for_o the_o glory_n and_o honour_n of_o god_n and_o for_o the_o advantage_n of_o the_o soul_n that_o it_o shall_v lie_v under_o affliction_n of_o conscience_n and_o under_o the_o burden_n of_o his_o sin_n some_o time_n before_o he_o do_v apply_v the_o lord_n jesus_n here_o i_o must_v premise_v one_o thing_n and_o that_o be_v that_o the_o glory_n and_o honour_n of_o god_n be_v the_o result_n of_o all_o his_o way_n to_o his_o people_n the_o lord_n be_v the_o fountain_n of_o wisdom_n can_v work_v without_o a_o end_n and_o his_o own_o self_n alone_o that_o be_v the_o manifestation_n of_o his_o own_o glory_n be_v the_o high_a end_n therefore_o of_o necessity_n in_o all_o the_o way_n of_o god_n that_o end_n must_v be_v attend_v this_o premise_v i_o answer_v
