sudden_a oath_n or_o taunt_a term_n or_o the_o like_a call_v venial_a sin_n be_v not_o such_o offence_n to_o the_o divine_a majesty_n if_o the_o give_v of_o a_o groat_n or_o shilling_n to_o a_o poor_a man_n may_v propitiate_v for_o they_o heaven_n be_v a_o easy_a purchase_n and_o too_o cheap_a a_o pennyworth_n if_o a_o man_n may_v buy_v it_o by_o give_v alm_n these_o fancy_n do_v so_o putrify_v work_n of_o mercy_n that_o they_o become_v odious_a unto_o god_n because_o he_o that_o do_v they_o put_v confidence_n in_o the_o flesh_n as_o saint_n paul_n call_v it_o and_o therefore_o cause_v his_o alm_n to_o be_v but_o a_o work_n of_o the_o flesh_n which_o kind_n of_o work_n can_v please_v god_n i_o have_v do_v with_o rule_n of_o mercy_n i_o go_v to_o the_o next_o point_n and_o will_v give_v you_o some_o mean_n of_o help_v you_o to_o be_v merciful_a that_o a_o man_n may_v give_v mercy_n mean_v to_o enable_v man_n to_o work_n of_o mercy_n he_o must_v have_v money_n to_o give_v and_o he_o must_v have_v a_o heart_n he_o must_v have_v a_o will_n and_o he_o must_v have_v a_o gift_n too_o for_o he_o that_o have_v nothing_o can_v give_v though_o he_o will_v he_o that_o want_v a_o heart_n can_v give_v because_o he_o will_v not_o both_o therefore_o be_v requisite_a and_o i_o will_v show_v you_o what_o must_v be_v do_v for_o the_o get_n of_o both_o and_o because_o the_o heart_n be_v the_o more_o needful_a of_o the_o twain_o as_o i_o suppose_v i_o will_v begin_v there_o harken_v my_o belove_a brethren_n i_o will_v show_v you_o how_o you_o must_v work_v your_o heart_n to_o a_o merciful_a liberality_n to_o that_o end_n you_o must_v do_v these_o three_o thing_n 1._o you_o must_v serious_o consider_v of_o those_o commandment_n promise_n and_o threat_n which_o be_v find_v in_o god_n book_n cooncern_v this_o duty_n press_v they_o upon_o yourselves_o get_v into_o thy_o closet_n search_v the_o bible_n turn_v to_o the_o precept_n to_o this_o duty_n and_o say_v be_v not_o mercy_n plain_o often_o earnest_o require_v and_o shall_v i_o dare_v to_o disobey_v so_o many_o evident_a and_o urgent_a precept_n why_o do_v i_o come_v to_o church_n if_o for_o fashion_n sake_n than_o i_o be_o a_o hypocrite_n if_o because_o god_n bid_v i_o do_v not_o he_o that_o say_v hear_v the_o word_n say_v give_v to_o the_o poor_a and_o if_o conscience_n bind_v i_o to_o the_o one_o do_v it_o not_o bind_v i_o to_o the_o other_o say_v to_o thyself_o shall_v i_o dare_v to_o live_v in_o the_o manifest_a breach_n of_o so_o many_o clear_a commandment_n as_o do_v enjoin_v give_v to_o the_o poor_a i_o must_v not_o i_o will_v not_o i_o dare_v not_o if_o i_o do_v i_o shall_v give_v the_o devil_n so_o great_a advantage_n in_o the_o day_n of_o conflict_n that_o i_o shall_v never_o be_v able_a to_o escape_v grievous_a terror_n for_o he_o that_o keep_v all_o the_o commandment_n and_o break_v one_o will_v be_v find_v a_o transgressor_n of_o all_o and_o little_o will_v it_o avail_v i_o to_o have_v seem_v religious_a if_o i_o be_v not_o merciful_a so_o the_o like_a in_o regard_n of_o promise_n and_o threat_n urge_v they_o and_o press_v they_o upon_o yourselves_o till_o you_o have_v even_o compel_v your_o unwilling_a will_n to_o resolve_v to_o interest_n yourselves_o into_o so_o many_o promise_n and_o to_o shun_v the_o danger_n of_o so_o many_o threat_n if_o we_o will_v thus_o hide_v the_o word_n of_o god_n in_o our_o heart_n it_o will_v work_v i_o mean_v god_n by_o it_o will_v work_v for_o it_o be_v his_o ordinance_n even_o every_o grace_n in_o our_o heart_n 2._o but_o to_o meditation_n you_o must_v add_v prayer_n beseech_v god_n to_o give_v you_o this_o so_o worthy_a a_o grace_n by_o which_o you_o shall_v be_v make_v so_o like_a unto_o himself_o that_o you_o may_v give_v thyself_o a_o ransom_n enlarge_v my_o heart_n with_o christian_a charity_n and_o compassion_n that_o i_o may_v be_v ready_a to_o give_v willing_a to_o communicate_v thou_o that_o tell_v i_o thy_o self_n be_v please_v with_o such_o sacrifice_n o_o work_n in_o i_o that_o that_o be_v well_o please_v in_o thy_o fight_n and_o let_v i_o be_v please_v to_o offer_v such_o sacrifice_n as_o thou_o
