but_o be_v faithful_o call_v upon_o shall_v always_o be_v ready_a to_o help_v the_o afflict_a and_o shall_v cut_v the_o cord_n now_o of_o the_o wicked_a man_n and_o now_o of_o that_o thus_o the_o holy_a ghost_n comfort_v we_o sundry_a way_n for_o when_o we_o have_v learn_v that_o satan_n be_v such_o a_o spirit_n as_o never_o cease_v to_o tempt_v and_o to_o vex_v we_o so_o that_o when_o he_o this_o similitude_n to_o teach_v we_o not_o to_o wish_v the_o tyrant_n may_v be_v like_o grass_n but_o to_o know_v that_o they_o be_v indeed_o most_o like_a unto_o grass_n on_o the_o house_n top_n praise_v thereof_o to_o be_v give_v to_o he_o alone_o this_o praise_n can_v none_o give_v unto_o god_n but_o the_o true_a israel_n have_v experience_n both_o of_o their_o own_o weakness_n the_o pass_v whereby_o we_o be_v teach_v how_o to_o think_v of_o our_o trouble_n and_o affliction_n past_a lest_o the_o sense_n and_o feel_n of_o god_n grace_n vanish_v out_o of_o our_o mind_n and_o here_o abide_v and_o therefore_o he_o raise_v the_o gate_n of_o hell_n against_o we_o notwithstanding_o he_o be_v compel_v to_o suffer_v all_o these_o thing_n through_o the_o power_n of_o christ_n our_o king_n who_o sit_v at_o the_o right_a hand_n of_o god_n for_o by_o man_n strength_n and_o power_n these_o thing_n can_v not_o be_v retain_v and_o defend_v if_o satan_n then_o at_o any_o time_n have_v his_o will_n in_o trouble_v the_o church_n in_o murder_v the_o people_n of_o god_n and_o such_o like_a therefore_o it_o be_v because_o god_n will_v show_v what_o satan_n be_v able_a to_o do_v every_o moment_n if_o he_o be_v not_o resist_v by_o the_o almighty_a power_n of_o god_n to_o the_o end_n that_o we_o shall_v walk_v in_o the_o fear_n of_o god_n and_o acknowledge_v this_o inestimable_a nought_o wherefore_o the_o prophet_n here_o not_o only_o repeat_v the_o danger_n and_o calamity_n of_o the_o church_n but_o with_o great_a joy_n he_o add_v withal_o a_o exhortation_n that_o every_o member_n of_o this_o body_n shall_v praise_v the_o mercy_n and_o goodness_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o say_v they_o can_v not_o prevail_v against_o i_o this_o be_v a_o singular_a consolation_n not_o assembly_n gather_v at_o augusta_n where_o it_o seem_v that_o our_o enemy_n shall_v utter_o have_v swallow_v we_o up_o but_o do_v not_o we_o there_o find_v these_o word_n to_o be_v full_a of_o consolation_n they_o can_v not_o prevail_v this_o consolation_n we_o must_v hold_v fast_o even_o when_o we_o be_v kill_v as_o by_o the_o example_n of_o the_o primitive_a church_n we_o be_v teach_v their_o property_n to_o boast_v and_o brag_v of_o the_o conquest_n and_o always_o to_o triumph_v before_o the_o victory_n but_o how_o soever_o our_o adversary_n triumph_v and_o glory_n let_v we_o endeavour_v to_o hold_v fast_o the_o word_n and_o whatsoever_o we_o do_v let_v we_o apply_v it_o whole_o to_o the_o amplify_a of_o the_o kingdom_n of_o christ_n and_o his_o word_n if_o then_o as_o that_o god_n suffer_v satan_n and_o the_o world_n so_o long_o to_o rage_n so_o long_o to_o vex_v and_o afflict_v the_o church_n that_o he_o give_v success_n unto_o their_o wicked_a counsel_n and_o attempt_n that_o he_o suffer_v the_o ungodly_a even_o then_o to_o prosper_v when_o they_o be_v most_o worthy_a to_o be_v punish_v with_o all_o manner_n of_o torment_n and_o utter_o consume_v on_o
