folly_n and_o the_o hurt_n that_o we_o catch_v by_o our_o careless_a or_o inconsiderate_a walk_n like_a child_n that_o often_o fall_v and_o cry_v and_o will_v we_o still_o live_v such_o a_o life_n as_o this_o the_o weakness_n of_o our_o faith_n the_o darkness_n of_o our_o mind_n the_o distance_n and_o strangeness_n of_o our_o soul_n to_o god_n be_v a_o continual_a languish_a and_o trouble_n to_o our_o heart_n how_o grievous_a be_v it_o to_o we_o that_o we_o can_v love_v he_o no_o more_o nor_o be_v more_o assure_v of_o his_o love_n to_o we_o that_o we_o find_v continual_o so_o much_o of_o creature_n and_o so_o detain_v from_o the_o love_n of_o god_n and_o that_o we_o draggle_n on_o this_o earth_n and_o can_v reach_v no_o high_o and_o the_o delightful_a communion_n with_o god_n and_o a_o conversation_n in_o heaven_n be_v thing_n that_o we_o have_v so_o small_a experience_n of_o alas_o that_o we_o that_o be_v make_v for_o god_n and_o shall_v live_v to_o he_o and_o be_v still_o upon_o his_o work_n and_o know_v no_o other_o shall_v be_v so_o byase_v by_o tâ—e_v flesh_n and_o captivate_v by_o self-love_n and_o lose_v at_o home_n that_o our_o affection_n and_o intention_n do_v hardly_o get_v above_o ourselves_o but_o there_o we_o be_v too_o prone_a to_o terminate_v they_o all_o and_o lose_v our_o god_n even_o in_o a_o seem_a religiousness_n while_o we_o will_v be_v god_n to_o ourselves_o how_o grievous_a be_v it_o that_o such_o wonder_n and_o glorious_a appearance_n of_o god_n as_o be_v contain_v in_o the_o incarnation_n life_n and_o death_n of_o christ_n and_o in_o all_o the_o part_n of_o the_o work_n of_o our_o redemption_n shall_v no_o more_o affect_v we_o then_o they_o do_v nor_o take_v up_o our_o soul_n in_o more_o thankful_a admiration_n nor_o ravish_v we_o into_o high_a joy_n alas_o that_o heaven_n command_v our_o soul_n no_o more_o from_o earth_n that_o such_o a_o infinite_a glory_n be_v so_o near_o we_o and_o we_o enjoy_v so_o little_a of_o it_o and_o these_o misery_n yea_o in_o every_o prayer_n what_o do_v we_o else_o but_o confess_v they_o and_o lament_v they_o and_o groan_v for_o help_v and_o for_o deliverance_n and_o yet_o shall_v we_o fear_v our_o day_n of_o freedom_n and_o be_v loath_a that_o death_n shall_v bring_v we_o news_n that_o our_o prayer_n be_v hear_v and_o our_o groan_n have_v reach_v up_o to_o heaven_n and_o that_o the_o god_n we_o shall_v have_v friend_n that_o be_v like_o god_n that_o be_v whole_o good_a and_o be_v participative_o turn_v into_o love_n and_o have_v leave_v behind_o they_o all_o that_o be_v unclean_a and_o noisome_a and_o troublesome_a to_o themselves_o they_o have_v also_o cast_v off_o all_o that_o can_v be_v troublesome_a to_o we_o our_o love_n will_v be_v there_o without_o suspicion_n without_o their_o company_n their_o opinion_n the_o slander_n of_o backbiter_n and_o misrepresentation_n of_o malicious_a man_n can_v cool_v their_o love_n and_o kill_v their_o friendship_n but_o heaven_n be_v a_o place_n of_o constant_a love_n the_o love_n of_o saint_n as_o all_o thing_n else_o be_v there_o eternal_a and_o yet_o it_o declineâ—h_v not_o with_o age_n it_o be_v a_o world_n of_o love_n that_o possess_v our_o heart_n and_o we_o shall_v have_v no_o need_n of_o man_n to_o comfort_v we_o but_o shall_v have_v comfort_n as_o natural_o from_o the_o face_n of_o god_n as_o we_o have_v light_n and_o heat_n in_o the_o summer_n from_o the_o sun_n when_o we_o all_o make_v one_o celestial_a chore_n to_o sing_v the_o praise_n of_o the_o king_n of_o saint_n how_o unlike_a will_v that_o melody_n be_v to_o the_o break_a music_n of_o sigh_n and_o groan_n and_o lamentation_n which_o we_o now_o take_v to_o be_v almost_o our_o best_a we_o be_v now_o glad_a when_o we_o can_v find_v but_o word_n and_o groan_n and_o tear_n to_o lament_v our_o sin_n and_o misery_n but_o then_o our_o joy_n shall_v know_v no_o sorrow_n nor_o our_o voice_n any_o sad_a and_o mournfall_n tune_n and_o may_v we_o not_o bear_v a_o while_n the_o sorrow_n that_o shall_v have_v so_o good_a a_o end_n we_o shall_v short_o have_v lay_v by_o the_o hard_a unprofitable_a barren_a heart_n that_o be_v now_o our_o continual_a burden_n and_o disease_n love_v not_o your_o corruption_n christian_n but_o yet_o be_v patient_a under_o the_o unavoidable_a relic_n that_o offend_v you_o remember_v that_o your_o conflict_n will_v end_v in_o conquest_n and_o your_o faith_n and_o watchfulness_n and_o patience_n will_v be_v put_v to_o it_o but_o a_o little_a while_n who_o will_v not_o enter_v willing_o into_o the_o fight_n when_o he_o may_v before_o hand_n be_v assure_v that_o the_o field_n shall_v be_v clear_v of_o every_o enemy_n all_o this_o must_v be_v ascribe_v to_o our_o dear_a redeemer_n have_v not_o he_o wrought_v the_o conquest_n the_o enemy_n that_o vex_v we_o will_v have_v destroy_v we_o and_o the_o serpent_n that_o now_o do_v but_o bruise_v our_o heel_n will_v have_v bruise_v our_o head_n and_o the_o scorn_n of_o the_o world_n for_o a_o day_n if_o he_o may_v have_v his_o will_n for_o it_o as_o long_o as_o he_o live_v on_o earth_n and_o shall_v we_o not_o then_o cheerful_o submit_v to_o our_o momentany_a affliction_n and_o the_o trouble_n of_o a_o few_o day_n which_o be_v light_a and_o mix_v with_o a_o world_n of_o mercy_n when_o we_o know_v that_o they_o be_v work_v for_o we_o a_o far_o more_o exceed_a eternal_a weight_n of_o glory_n 2_o cor._n 4.17_o our_o clamorous_a and_o malicious_a enemy_n our_o quarlelsome_a brethren_n our_o peevish_a friend_n our_o burdensome_a corruption_n and_o imperfection_n will_v short_o trouble_v we_o no_o more_o as_o our_o life_n be_v short_a and_o but_o a_o dream_n and_o shadow_n and_o therefore_o the_o pleasure_n of_o this_o world_n be_v no_o better_o so_o our_o trouble_n also_o will_v be_v no_o long_o and_o be_v but_o sad_a dream_n and_o dark_a shadow_n that_o quick_o pass_v away_o our_o lord_n that_o have_v begin_v and_o go_v on_o so_o far_o will_v finish_v his_o victory_n and_o the_o last_o enemy_n shall_v short_o be_v destroy_v and_o if_o the_o fearful_a doubt_a soul_n shall_v say_v i_o know_v this_o be_v comfort_n to_o they_o that_o be_v in_o christ_n but_o what_o be_v it_o to_o i_o that_o know_v not_o whether_o i_o have_v any_o part_n in_o he_o i_o answer_v 1._o the_o foundation_n of_o god_n still_o stand_v sure_a the_o own_o faith_n as_o the_o child_n be_v sure_a in_o the_o mother_n arm_n then_o by_o its_o hold_v of_o the_o mother_n and_o moreover_o your_o doubt_n and_o fear_n be_v part_n of_o the_o evil_a that_o shall_v be_v remove_v and_o your_o bitter_a sorrow_n that_o hence_o proceed_v shall_v with_o the_o rest_n of_o the_o enemy_n be_v destroy_v 2._o but_o yet_o take_v heed_n that_o you_o unthankful_o plead_v not_o against_o the_o mercy_n which_o you_o have_v receive_v and_o be_v not_o friend_n to_o those_o doubt_n and_o fear_n which_o be_v your_o enemy_n and_o that_o you_o take_v not_o part_n with_o the_o enemy_n of_o your_o comfort_n why_o do_v thou_o doubt_v poor_a humble_a soul_n of_o thy_o interest_n in_o christ_n that_o must_v make_v the_o conquest_n answer_v i_o but_o these_o few_o question_n from_o thy_o heart_n 1._o do_v christ_n ever_o show_v himself_o unkind_a to_o thou_o or_o unwilling_a to_o receive_v thou_o and_o have_v mercy_n on_o thou_o do_v he_o ever_o give_v thou_o desire_v he_o and_o give_v thou_o all_o thy_o desire_n after_o he_o and_o will_v he_o now_o cross_a and_o deny_v the_o desire_n which_o he_o have_v cause_v he_o be_v find_v of_o thou_o or_o rather_o find_v thou_o when_o thou_o sought_v not_o after_o he_o and_o can_v be_v reject_v thou_o now_o thou_o cry_v and_o call_v for_o his_o grace_n o_o think_v not_o hardly_o of_o his_o wondrous_a grace_n till_o he_o give_v thou_o cause_n let_v thy_o sweet_a experience_n be_v remember_v to_o the_o shame_n of_o thy_o causeless_a doubt_n and_o fear_n and_o let_v he_o that_o have_v love_v thou_o to_o the_o death_n be_v think_v on_o as_o he_o be_v and_o not_o as_o the_o unbelieve_a flesh_n will_v misrepresent_v he_o quest_n 2._o if_o thou_o say_v that_o it_o be_v not_o his_o unkindness_n but_o thy_o own_o that_o feed_v thy_o doubt_n i_o further_o ask_v thou_o be_v he_o not_o kind_a to_o the_o unkind_a especial_o when_o they_o lament_v their_o own_o unkindness_n thou_o be_v not_o so_o unkind_a to_o he_o as_o thou_o be_v in_o thy_o unconverted_a state_n and_o yet_o he_o then_o express_v his_o love_n in_o thy_o conversion_n he_o than_o seek_v thou_o when_o thou_o wente_v astray_o and_o bring_v thou_o careful_o home_o into_o his_o fold_n and_o there_o he_o have_v keep_v thou_o ever_o since_o and_o be_v he_o less_o kind_a now_o when_o thou_o be_v return_v home_o do_v thou_o not_o know_v that_o all_o his_o child_n have_v their_o frowardness_n and_o be_v guilty_a of_o their_o unkindness_n to_o he_o and_o yet_o he_o do_v not_o therefore_o disow_v they_o and_o turn_v they_o out_o of_o his_o family_n but_o be_v tender_a of_o they_o in_o their_o froward_a weakness_n because_o they_o be_v his_o own_o how_o deal_v he_o with_o the_o peevish_a prophet_n jonah_n that_o be_v exceed_o displeased_a and_o very_a angry_a that_o god_n spare_v nineve_n lest_o it_o shall_v be_v a_o dishonour_n to_o his_o prophecy_n in_o so_o much_o that_o he_o wish_v that_o he_o may_v die_v and_o not_o live_v and_o after_o repine_v at_o the_o wither_a of_o his_o gourd_n and_o the_o scorch_a of_o the_o sun_n that_o beat_v upon_o he_o the_o lord_n do_v gentle_o question_v with_o he_o do_v thou_o well_o to_o be_v angry_a and_o after_o hence_o convince_v he_o that_o the_o mercy_n which_o he_o value_v to_o himself_o he_o shall_v not_o envy_v to_o so_o many_o jonah_n 4._o how_o deal_v he_o with_o the_o disciple_n that_o fall_v asleep_a when_o they_o shall_v have_v watch_v with_o christ_n in_o the_o night_n of_o his_o great_a agony_n he_o do_v not_o tell_v they_o you_o be_v none_o of_o
