capable_a of_o mercy_n as_o any_o vessel_n to_o receive_v water_n the_o lord_n have_v from_o everlasting_a ordain_v and_o appoint_v they_o to_o the_o kingdom_n of_o glory_n now_o the_o word_n be_v the_o ignorance_n and_o obdurancy_n of_o other_o and_o it_o will_v make_v thou_o to_o praise_v and_o set_v forth_o the_o greatness_n of_o god_n mercy_n so_o again_o in_o outward_a mercy_n the_o lord_n have_v give_v thou_o abundance_n thou_o have_v strength_n and_o ability_n of_o body_n thou_o have_v liberty_n and_o freedom_n from_o imprisonment_n and_o thou_o see_v other_o that_o be_v blind_a sick_a lame_a and_o under_o the_o heavy_a hand_n of_o god_n in_o some_o affliction_n they_o be_v weak_a and_o poor_a and_o in_o this_o hard_a time_n that_o now_o be_v upon_o we_o thou_o see_v other_o want_v fire_v want_v lodging_n want_v mean_n to_o defend_v they_o from_o the_o injury_n of_o the_o weather_n sure_o the_o lord_n set_v these_o before_o thou_o not_o only_o that_o thou_o shall_v be_v pitiful_a unto_o they_o and_o help_v and_o relieve_v they_o but_o herein_o also_o to_o see_v the_o greatness_n and_o goodness_n of_o god_n mercy_n towards_o thou_o lay_v not_o out_o so_o much_o upon_o this_o conclusion_n doctrine_n that_o god_n will_v one_o day_n manifest_v his_o exceed_a great_a and_o abundant_a mercy_n towards_o his_o choose_a and_o he_o will_v one_o day_n make_v it_o appear_v to_o the_o declaration_n of_o the_o glory_n of_o his_o justice_n and_o the_o glory_n of_o his_o power_n this_o end_n the_o lord_n aim_v at_o and_o upon_o this_o ground_n we_o may_v answer_v that_o which_o be_v common_o object_v by_o anabaptist_n and_o other_o err_a spirit_n that_o reason_n thus_o if_o god_n have_v appoint_v and_o ordain_v some_o to_o everlasting_a destruction_n than_o also_o this_o will_v follow_v that_o god_n have_v ordain_v and_o appoint_v the_o mean_n that_o tend_v to_o that_o end_n and_o that_o be_v sin_n now_o to_o this_o we_o may_v easy_o answer_v that_o as_o the_o lord_n have_v not_o ordain_v any_o to_o everlasting_a destruction_n simple_o as_o it_o be_v their_o destruction_n but_o as_o it_o make_v for_o the_o glory_n of_o his_o justice_n and_o power_n so_o god_n have_v not_o ordain_v sin_n simple_o as_o it_o be_v sin_n and_o evil_n but_o he_o have_v either_o ordain_v such_o sin_n as_o be_v punishment_n of_o foregoing_a sin_n for_o as_o sin_n follow_v be_v punishment_n of_o sin_n forego_v so_o they_o be_v a_o moral_a good_a thing_n and_o agree_v with_o his_o justice_n or_o else_o the_o lord_n have_v ordain_v to_o suffer_v and_o permit_v the_o be_v of_o some_o other_o sin_n which_o be_v not_o punishment_n not_o simple_o as_o they_o be_v sin_n but_o as_o they_o concur_v and_o make_v way_n to_o the_o high_a end_n of_o all_o and_o that_o be_v the_o manifestation_n and_o declaration_n of_o his_o justice_n and_o power_n and_o so_o we_o see_v how_o we_o may_v safe_o hold_v as_o a_o warrant_a truth_n of_o god_n that_o god_n have_v from_o everlasting_a fore-appointed_n and_o fore-ordained_n some_o man_n to_o everlasting_a damnation_n it_o be_v right_o understand_v namely_o not_o as_o it_o be_v their_o destruction_n but_o as_o it_o be_v the_o manifestation_n and_o declaration_n of_o the_o glory_n of_o his_o justice_n and_o of_o his_o power_n again_o this_o be_v so_o that_o the_o high_a end_n the_o lord_n aim_v at_o in_o man_n use_v 2_o punishment_n be_v the_o manifestation_n and_o glory_n of_o his_o justice_n and_o power_n this_o must_v teach_v we_o then_o our_o lesson_n to_o find_v cause_n of_o praise_v god_n and_o glorify_v of_o he_o in_o the_o punishment_n of_o wicked_a person_n such_o as_o be_v malicious_a enemy_n of_o god_n and_o of_o his_o truth_n as_o moses_n and_o miriam_n do_v in_o the_o overthrow_n of_o pharaoh_n in_o the_o red_a sea_n they_o break_v out_o into_o praise_n and_o glorify_v of_o god_n in_o exod._n 15._o the_o whole_a chapter_n so_o when_o we_o see_v the_o hand_n of_o god_n just_o upon_o they_o that_o be_v wicked_a and_o malicious_a enemy_n of_o the_o church_n of_o god_n we_o be_v to_o rejoice_v in_o it_o and_o to_o pick_v out_o of_o it_o matter_n of_o praise_n and_o glory_n unto_o god_n for_o his_o justice_n appear_v in_o the_o same_o indeed_o belove_v i_o grant_v we_o be_v not_o to_o rejoice_v simple_o in_o the_o smart_n and_o pain_n of_o other_o as_o we_o say_v in_o the_o school_n non_fw-fr 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d non_fw-la gaudia_fw-la ex_fw-la aliena_fw-la calamitate_fw-la be_v they_o never_o so_o wicked_a or_o vile_a but_o rather_o to_o pity_v they_o as_o they_o be_v the_o creature_n of_o god_n but_o as_o we_o discern_v they_o to_o be_v the_o enemy_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o enemy_n of_o the_o truth_n and_o it_o be_v apparent_a that_o the_o just_a hand_n of_o god_n be_v now_o upon_o they_o and_o his_o justice_n light_v upon_o they_o we_o be_v to_o rejoice_v and_o we_o ought_v to_o magnify_v and_o to_o glorify_v the_o justice_n of_o god_n in_o their_o just_a punishment_n to_o this_o purpose_n speak_v the_o psalmist_n in_o psal_n 58.11_o &_o 12._o verse_n the_o righteous_a shall_v rejoice_v when_o he_o see_v the_o vengeance_n of_o god_n upon_o the_o wicked_a and_o he_o shall_v wash_v his_o foot_n in_o the_o blood_n of_o the_o ungodly_a and_o man_n shall_v say_v very_o there_o be_v fruit_n for_o the_o righteous_a doubtless_o there_o be_v a_o god_n that_o judge_v the_o earth_n man_n shall_v thus_o magnify_v the_o just_a hand_n of_o god_n in_o his_o judgement_n upon_o wicked_a person_n so_o that_o we_o see_v we_o may_v rejoice_v when_o we_o see_v the_o hand_n of_o god_n upon_o wicked_a person_n and_o such_o as_o be_v enemy_n to_o god_n and_o his_o truth_n come_v we_o now_o to_o the_o 23._o verse_n verse_n 23._o and_o that_o he_o may_v declare_v the_o riches_n of_o his_o glory_n upon_o the_o vessel_n of_o mercy_n which_o he_o have_v prepare_v unto_o glory_n in_o this_o verse_n our_o apostle_n amplifi_v the_o manifestation_n of_o god_n glory_n and_o power_n in_o manifest_v his_o patience_n to_o the_o wicked_a by_o the_o end_n of_o their_o punishment_n in_o respect_n of_o god_n elect_n and_o that_o be_v to_o declare_v the_o riches_n of_o his_o glory_n upon_o the_o vessel_n of_o mercy_n prepare_v to_o glory_n now_o the_o general_a thing_n considerable_a in_o this_o verse_n be_v two_o first_o the_o end_n which_o we_o have_v speak_v of_o propound_v and_o lay_v before_o we_o that_o he_o may_v declare_v the_o riches_n of_o his_o glory_n and_o second_o the_o person_n unto_o who_o and_o that_o be_v the_o elect_n who_o be_v describe_v to_o be_v vessel_n of_o mercy_n and_o those_o prepare_v unto_o glory_n and_o that_o he_o may_v declare_v the_o riches_n of_o his_o glory_n unto_o the_o vessel_n of_o mercy_n which_o he_o have_v prepare_v unto_o glory_n now_o come_v we_o to_o the_o open_n of_o the_o word_n and_o that_o he_o may_v declare_v or_o in_o like_a sort_n that_o he_o may_v make_v know_v to_o all_o the_o world_n man_n and_o angel_n the_o riches_n of_o his_o glory_n the_o word_n glory_n here_o signify_v that_o whereby_o god_n be_v glorious_a in_o particular_a it_o signify_v the_o glory_n of_o the_o grace_n and_o mercy_n of_o god_n whereby_o god_n show_v himself_o to_o be_v most_o glorious_a and_o hence_o it_o be_v the_o apostle_n put_v glory_n as_o a_o epithet_n of_o god_n grace_n in_o ephes_n 1.6_o to_o the_o praise_n of_o the_o glory_n of_o his_o grace_n and_o thus_o the_o word_n glory_n be_v use_v in_o ephes_n 3.16_o that_o he_o may_v grant_v you_o according_a to_o the_o riches_n of_o his_o glory_n what_o be_v that_o the_o riches_n of_o his_o grace_n and_o of_o his_o mercy_n and_o the_o word_n riches_n as_o it_o do_v often_o in_o scripture_n signify_v plenty_n and_o abundance_n as_o the_o apostle_n call_v it_o the_o bountifulness_n of_o god_n rom._n 2.4_o the_o superabundant_a bountifulness_n of_o god_n so_o that_o his_o meaning_n be_v that_o he_o may_v declare_v his_o abundant_a grace_n and_o mercy_n upon_o the_o vessel_n of_o mercy_n vessel_n of_o mercy_n be_v here_o oppose_v unto_o vessel_n of_o wrath_n speak_v of_o in_o the_o verse_n before_o and_o thereby_o we_o be_v to_o understand_v god_n elect_n who_o be_v call_v vessel_n of_o mercy_n because_o they_o be_v create_v of_o god_n fit_a to_o receive_v mercy_n even_o as_o vessel_n be_v fit_a to_o receive_v water_n by_o reason_n of_o their_o concavity_n so_o they_o be_v vessel_n of_o mercy_n prepare_v unto_o glory_n that_o be_v which_o the_o lord_n have_v from_o everlasting_a ordain_v and_o fore-appointed_n to_o everlasting_a happiness_n and_o glory_n in_o heaven_n 1_o thess_n 5.9_o god_n have_v not_o appoint_v we_o unto_o wrath_n but_o he_o have_v appoint_v we_o to_o obtain_v salvation_n by_o
judgement_n he_o will_v come_v to_o be_v glorify_v in_o his_o saint_n and_o to_o be_v make_v marvellous_a and_o wonderful_a in_o all_o that_o believe_v he_o will_v invest_v his_o saint_n then_o with_o heavenly_a glory_n and_o manifest_v his_o rich_a grace_n and_o abundant_a mercy_n upon_o they_o and_o that_o to_o the_o admiration_n and_o astonishment_n of_o all_o the_o world_n that_o shall_v look_v upon_o he_o and_o be_v eyewitness_n of_o it_o in_o 1_o john_n 3.2_o dear_o belove_v say_v the_o apostle_n we_o be_v now_o the_o son_n of_o god_n yet_o it_o do_v not_o appear_v what_o we_o shall_v be_v be_v not_o now_o apparent_a nor_o evident_a to_o the_o eye_n of_o the_o world_n but_o the_o time_n shall_v come_v when_o it_o shall_v be_v apparent_a and_o manifest_a and_o that_o shall_v be_v when_o christ_n shall_v come_v in_o glory_n unto_o judgement_n then_o the_o saint_n of_o god_n than_o the_o true_a believer_n and_o the_o choose_a of_o god_n shall_v be_v make_v like_o unto_o he_o in_o fullness_n of_o grace_n and_o in_o fullness_n of_o glory_n not_o equal_a unto_o he_o but_o like_v unto_o he_o a_o plain_a text_n evidence_v and_o confirm_v this_o truth_n that_o god_n will_v one_o day_n manifest_v his_o exceed_a greatness_n and_o mercy_n to_o his_o choose_a and_o make_v it_o appear_v to_o all_o the_o world_n to_o man_n and_o angel_n that_o he_o be_v a_o merciful_a god_n to_o the_o confusion_n of_o the_o wicked_a and_o the_o admiration_n of_o the_o angel_n now_o belove_v if_o so_o be_v we_o desire_v to_o be_v further_o inform_v touch_v this_o what_o shall_v make_v man_n and_o angel_n to_o admire_v the_o wonderful_a mercy_n of_o god_n to_o his_o choose_a beloved_n it_o shall_v be_v not_o only_o in_o respect_n of_o the_o abundant_a greatness_n of_o god_n mercy_n to_o his_o choose_a but_o also_o in_o respect_n of_o the_o freeness_n of_o god_n grace_n and_o of_o god_n glory_n that_o god_n bestow_v abundance_n of_o grace_n and_o of_o mercy_n and_o that_o free_o for_o when_o as_o the_o wicked_a and_o reprobate_n shall_v at_o that_o day_n have_v just_o according_a as_o they_o have_v deserve_v inflict_v upon_o they_o even_o everlasting_a wrath_n and_o vengeance_n so_o on_o the_o other_o side_n god_n have_v reveal_v the_o greatness_n of_o his_o mercy_n upon_o his_o choose_a not_o for_o any_o merit_n or_o desert_n of_o they_o and_o herein_o appear_v the_o wonderful_a admiration_n of_o god_n mercy_n in_o that_o he_o give_v it_o not_o in_o respect_n of_o any_o merit_n or_o desert_n of_o they_o for_o they_o have_v deserve_v the_o same_o wrath_n with_o the_o reprobate_n but_o only_o of_o his_o free_a mercy_n this_o shall_v make_v man_n and_o angel_n to_o wonder_v at_o it_o that_o god_n vouchsafe_v such_o a_o weight_n of_o glory_n which_o they_o have_v not_o deserve_v free_o out_o of_o his_o own_o mercy_n and_o it_o must_v needs_o be_v so_o for_o these_o reason_n because_o the_o glory_n of_o his_o mercy_n be_v as_o dear_a unto_o he_o as_o the_o glory_n of_o his_o reason_n 1_o justice_n and_o he_o will_v no_o more_o loose_v the_o glory_n of_o his_o mercy_n than_o the_o glory_n of_o his_o justice_n because_o god_n have_v promise_v grace_n unto_o his_o choose_a yea_o fullness_n of_o reason_n 2_o grace_n and_o fullness_n of_o mercy_n according_a to_o their_o measure_n the_o lord_n will_v be_v justify_v in_o his_o word_n and_o in_o his_o say_n and_o in_o his_o promise_n he_o will_v make_v it_o good_a yea_o the_o most_o wicked_a in_o the_o world_n shall_v one_o day_n justify_v the_o goodness_n and_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n to_o his_o choose_a and_o he_o will_v make_v they_o one_o day_n will_v they_o will_v they_o to_o confess_v his_o goodness_n and_o this_o be_v not_o do_v in_o this_o world_n but_o in_o the_o world_n to_o come_v than_o he_o will_v wring_v a_o confession_n from_o they_o howsoever_o now_o they_o will_v not_o confess_v it_o yet_o then_o they_o shall_v manifest_v the_o riches_n of_o god_n grace_n to_o his_o choose_a the_o due_a consideration_n of_o this_o yield_v matter_n of_o sweet_a and_o excellent_a comfort_n to_o god_n child_n two_o way_n first_o in_o respect_n of_o the_o cause_n and_o estate_n of_o god_n child_n as_o it_o stand_v with_o they_o when_o they_o be_v under_o some_o great_a and_o grievous_a affliction_n or_o under_o some_o strong_a temptation_n and_o violent_a assault_n by_o satan_n in_o that_o he_o feel_v such_o a_o weight_n of_o sin_n and_o such_o a_o burden_n of_o corruption_n lie_v and_o press_v down_o his_o heart_n and_o soul_n as_o for_o the_o present_a he_o have_v no_o apprehension_n of_o the_o special_a love_n of_o god_n unto_o he_o nay_o he_o conclude_v the_o contrary_a even_o against_o himself_o as_o that_o god_n have_v forget_v he_o and_o leave_v he_o though_o there_o be_v no_o such_o matter_n but_o god_n be_v please_v to_o exercise_v his_o faith_n and_o to_o try_v the_o soundness_n of_o his_o grace_n and_o he_o will_v have_v he_o to_o know_v that_o his_o faith_n and_o grace_n be_v even_o as_o pure_a gold_n try_v in_o the_o furnace_n 1_o peter_n 1.7_o that_o the_o trrial_n of_o your_o faith_n be_v much_o more_o precious_a than_o gold_n now_o in_o this_o case_n a_o child_n of_o god_n may_v call_v to_o mind_n in_o this_o miserable_a estate_n he_o think_v himself_o may_v call_v to_o mind_n what_o comfort_n and_o what_o mercy_n the_o lord_n have_v vouchsafe_v upon_o i_o and_o what_o pledge_n of_o his_o save_a goodness_n the_o lord_n have_v vouchsafe_v and_o then_o he_o may_v consider_v that_o though_o the_o save_a mercy_n of_o god_n be_v now_o hide_v from_o he_o for_o a_o time_n and_o that_o he_o can_v find_v no_o comfort_n yet_o he_o have_v have_v experience_n of_o his_o save_a grace_n former_o he_o may_v resolve_v that_o he_o will_v again_o return_v and_o manifest_v his_o mercy_n unto_o he_o for_o consider_v to_o reason_n thus_o will_v god_n one_o day_n make_v it_o apparent_a to_o all_o the_o world_n that_o he_o be_v a_o merciful_a and_o gracious_a god_n to_o his_o child_n and_o will_v not_o the_o same_o god_n make_v it_o manifest_a and_o apparent_a to_o thy_o soul_n here_o in_o this_o life_n at_o one_o time_n or_o other_o it_o can_v possible_o be_v thou_o have_v have_v love_v token_n of_o his_o favour_n though_o they_o seem_v to_o be_v lose_v yet_o the_o lord_n will_v come_v with_o abundance_n of_o grace_n and_o goodness_n roman_n 15.13_o yea_o the_o lord_n one_o day_n so_o express_v his_o grace_n as_o that_o the_o child_n of_o god_n shall_v himself_o wonder_v and_o magnify_v the_o grace_n of_o god_n unto_o his_o own_o soul_n yea_o he_o shall_v be_v ravish_v with_o the_o wonderful_a mercy_n of_o god_n unto_o his_o choose_a in_o general_a and_o to_o himself_o in_o particular_a for_o though_o when_o the_o devil_n oppose_v the_o godly_a by_o temptation_n they_o feel_v not_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n to_o they_o yet_o the_o time_n shall_v come_v when_o it_o shall_v be_v manifest_a to_o all_o the_o world_n much_o more_o than_o to_o themselves_o and_o to_o their_o own_o soul_n again_o will_v god_n one_o day_n manifest_v his_o abundant_a mercy_n unto_o his_o choose_a use_n 2_o make_v it_o to_o child_n the_o man_n of_o the_o world_n see_v god_n child_n walk_v humble_o before_o the_o lord_n and_o look_v upon_o their_o humble_a and_o low_a carriage_n and_o behaviour_n which_o they_o account_v baseness_n they_o present_o shoot_v out_o their_o fool_n bolt_n that_o they_o be_v the_o reprobate_n they_o look_v upon_o the_o outside_n and_o see_v not_o what_o be_v within_o they_o be_v not_o able_a to_o see_v what_o mercy_n the_o lord_n vouchsafe_v unto_o his_o child_n even_o in_o this_o world_n in_o that_o he_o give_v they_o assurance_n of_o his_o love_n unto_o they_o in_o jesus_n christ_n and_o a_o feel_n of_o the_o sweetness_n of_o his_o grace_n and_o of_o mercy_n and_o the_o pardon_n of_o their_o sin_n this_o they_o be_v not_o able_a to_o see_v through_o the_o darkness_n of_o affliction_n and_o the_o cloud_n of_o their_o misery_n now_o this_o be_v to_o be_v remember_v and_o to_o be_v think_v upon_o for_o our_o comfort_n that_o be_v god_n child_n in_o respect_n of_o this_o censure_n that_o howsoever_o the_o grace_n and_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n be_v obscure_v and_o they_o can_v see_v it_o yet_o comfort_v thyself_o the_o time_n shall_v come_v that_o god-wil_a make_v it_o appear_v to_o man_n and_o angel_n that_o he_o be_v a_o gracious_a god_n and_o that_o he_o be_v rich_a in_o mercy_n unto_o they_o and_o that_o the_o love_n of_o god_n be_v

leave_v in_o their_o blindness_n and_o the_o dead_a body_n of_o all_o be_v not_o raise_v though_o some_o be_v at_o the_o death_n of_o christ_n so_o deal_v the_o lord_n with_o the_o mind_n and_o soul_n of_o man_n he_o only_o out_o of_o his_o gracious_a pleasure_n do_v open_v the_o mind_n of_o some_o man_n and_o make_v they_o to_o see_v know_v and_o understand_v and_o believe_v by_o the_o preach_n of_o the_o word_n according_a to_o his_o gracious_a pleasure_n therefore_o we_o may_v resolve_v upon_o it_o as_o a_o certain_a truth_n that_o god_n do_v call_v man_n out_o of_o the_o estate_n of_o nature_n into_o the_o estate_n of_o grace_n effectual_o out_o of_o his_o free_a grace_n and_o mercy_n use_v 1_o if_o this_o be_v so_o it_o be_v not_o then_o upon_o foresee_a merit_n that_o god_n do_v strong_a than_o christ_n that_o christ_n shall_v die_v for_o all_o man_n and_o yet_o some_o of_o those_o man_n go_v to_o hell_n a_o fowl_n and_o a_o gross_a error_n beside_o this_o it_o can_v stand_v in_o it_o to_o say_v that_o christ_n die_v for_o all_o and_o if_o we_o rest_v upon_o this_o we_o shall_v find_v a_o deceive_a ground_n of_o comfort_n howsoever_o some_o will_v say_v how_o shall_v we_o comfort_v a_o poor_a soul_n a_o prisoner_n that_o be_v to_o be_v execute_v but_o by_o tell_v he_o christ_n die_v for_o all_o upon_o what_o ground_n no_o christ_n die_v not_o for_o all_o again_o be_v it_o so_o that_o god_n work_v free_o upon_o the_o mind_n and_o soul_n of_o man_n out_o of_o his_o free_a grace_n and_o mercy_n oh_o then_o such_o as_o find_v themselves_o to_o be_v in_o use_v 2_o the_o number_n of_o the_o call_v of_o god_n and_o thorough_o wrought_v upon_o by_o the_o power_n of_o the_o preach_n of_o the_o word_n that_o be_v bring_v to_o the_o save_a knowledge_n of_o god_n in_o christ_n they_o be_v bind_v to_o acknowledge_v the_o riches_n of_o his_o free_a grace_n and_o mercy_n and_o be_v thankful_a unto_o god_n for_o the_o same_o consider_v it_o thou_o that_o have_v good_a evidence_n of_o thy_o effectual_a calling_n that_o be_v transform_v and_o change_v and_o bring_v into_o a_o new_a mould_n and_o fashion_n consider_v with_o thyself_o that_o many_o be_v leave_v in_o their_o natural_a ignorance_n and_o unbelief_n yea_o many_o be_v give_v over_o to_o popish_a superstition_n many_o live_n in_o the_o same_o place_n frequent_v the_o same_o mean_n hear_v the_o same_o sermon_n sit_v in_o the_o same_o seat_n with_o thou_o they_o remain_v ignorant_a in_o their_o blindness_n of_o mind_n and_o hardness_n of_o heart_n but_o god_n have_v give_v thou_o not_o only_o his_o word_n and_o gospel_n preach_v but_o a_o heart_n enlighten_v to_o receive_v it_o therefore_o thou_o have_v cause_n to_o magnify_v the_o mercy_n of_o god_n for_o this_o blessing_n of_o all_o blessing_n and_o learn_v thou_o to_o break_v out_o and_o say_v lord_n what_o be_o i_o that_o thou_o shall_v vouchsafe_v unto_o i_o such_o a_o mercy_n i_o see_v thousand_o in_o their_o natural_a estate_n and_o ignorance_n i_o be_v bear_v and_o bring_v forth_o in_o sin_n like_o other_o man_n and_o have_v increase_v and_o multiply_v my_o sin_n exceed_o my_o unthankfulness_n be_v great_a and_o my_o unworthiness_n great_a and_o yet_o thou_o have_v vouchsafe_v mercy_n unto_o i_o above_o many_o thousand_o lord_n thou_o be_v gracious_a and_o merciful_a unto_o i_o thus_o we_o ought_v to_o be_v stir_v up_o ourselves_o to_o magnify_v the_o mercy_n of_o god_n in_o that_o many_o thousand_o be_v give_v to_o popish_a superstition_n and_o god_n have_v give_v thou_o a_o flexible_a heart_n to_o his_o you_o we_o have_v a_o double_a description_n of_o the_o gentile_n first_o of_o their_o estate_n before_o their_o call_n when_o they_o be_v not_o the_o people_n of_o god_n by_o nature_n second_o of_o their_o condition_n after_o their_o call_v that_o they_o be_v now_o become_v the_o people_n of_o god_n and_o belove_v of_o the_o lord_n hence_o than_o first_o of_o all_o appear_v the_o estate_n of_o man_n by_o nature_n as_o yet_o unconvert_v and_o not_o wrought_v upon_o by_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n through_o the_o preach_n of_o the_o word_n and_o gospel_n hence_o the_o doctrine_n be_v this_o doctrine_n that_o man_n who_o be_v in_o their_o natural_a estate_n as_o yet_o not_o effectual_o call_v and_o as_o yet_o not_o wrought_v upon_o by_o the_o spirit_n of_o grace_n by_o the_o preach_n of_o the_o word_n and_o gospel_n be_v in_o a_o miserable_a estate_n and_o condition_n they_o be_v not_o the_o people_n of_o god_n nor_o belove_v of_o god_n so_o say_v the_o text_n and_o we_o find_v that_o that_o the_o scripture_n set_v out_o the_o miserable_a estate_n and_o condition_n of_o man_n in_o their_o natural_a estate_n by_o many_o notable_a speech_n in_o rom._n 5.6.8_o it_o be_v say_v that_o they_o be_v sinner_n in_o a_o high_a degree_n ungodly_a yea_o enemy_n unto_o god_n and_o unto_o christ_n such_o as_o be_v in_o their_o natural_a estate_n they_o be_v enemy_n unto_o god_n and_o there_o
