the_o creator_n of_o all_o the_o six_o abuse_n chap._n 6._o a_o master_n or_o a_o ruler_n without_o virtue_n in_o this_o place_n follow_v the_o six_o abuse_n namely_o a_o lord_n or_o master_n that_o be_v without_o virtue_n for_o it_o profit_v nothing_o to_o have_v power_n and_o authority_n or_o to_o rule_v if_o the_o master_n have_v not_o in_o himself_o the_o direct_a and_o orderly_a sway_n of_o virtue_n but_o this_o virtue_n consist_v not_o so_o much_o in_o the_o extern_a and_o outward_a strength_n of_o the_o body_n which_o be_v very_o requisite_a and_o necessary_a for_o such_o as_o be_v worldly_a ruler_n as_o it_o be_v to_o be_v exercise_v in_o the_o inward_a strength_n in_o good_a and_o virtuous_a manner_n for_o often_o time_n a_o man_n do_v lose_v the_o might_n and_o power_n to_o rule_v through_o the_o negligence_n of_o the_o inward_a part_n as_o it_o appear_v by_o eli_n the_o priest_n who_o while_o he_o punish_v not_o his_o child_n with_o the_o rigorous_a and_o strait_a rod_n of_o justice_n when_o they_o do_v sin_n god_n as_o one_o that_o will_v be_v revenge_v for_o their_o wickedness_n upon_o he_o sharp_o punish_v he_o as_o one_o that_o consent_v to_o their_o naughtiness_n therefore_o it_o be_v necessary_a that_o ruler_n have_v these_o three_o thing_n in_o they_o that_o be_v to_o say_v terror_n to_o be_v fear_v good_a governance_n and_o love_n for_o except_v the_o governor_n be_v fear_v and_o love_v his_o ordinance_n and_o rule_n can_v stand_v therefore_o through_o his_o goodness_n and_o honest_a familiar_a condition_n let_v he_o procure_v to_o get_v the_o love_n of_o they_o which_o be_v under_o he_o and_o also_o by_o just_a and_o discreet_a punishment_n not_o that_o he_o will_v or_o shall_v appear_v to_o revenge_v his_o own_o quarrel_n or_o injury_n but_o that_o the_o transgression_n or_o break_v of_o the_o law_n of_o god_n may_v be_v punish_v and_o so_o to_o be_v have_v in_o fear_n wherefore_o while_o many_o person_n do_v depend_v and_o hang_v upon_o he_o he_o himself_o must_v altogether_o depend_v and_o hang_v upon_o god_n and_o cleave_v only_o to_o he_o who_o have_v set_v he_o in_o that_o rule_n who_o have_v establish_v he_o and_o make_v he_o to_o be_v a_o strong_a man_n whereby_o to_o bear_v the_o burden_n of_o many_o for_o except_v a_o beam_n be_v lay_v fast_o and_o sure_a upon_o a_o strong_a thing_n which_o be_v able_a to_o bear_v it_o all_o that_o be_v lay_v upon_o it_o shall_v fall_v down_o yea_o and_o itself_o also_o through_o the_o very_a bigness_n and_o weight_n of_o itself_o shall_v fall_v to_o the_o ground_n the_o mind_n even_o by_o the_o only_a help_n of_o god_n and_o the_o other_o that_o they_o do_v fall_v by_o the_o weakness_n of_o the_o mind_n through_o the_o negligence_n and_o small_a regard_n they_o have_v to_o virtue_n which_o no_o man_n can_v have_v without_o the_o help_n of_o god_n the_o man_n that_o have_v many_o thing_n under_o he_o whereof_o he_o have_v charge_n and_o have_v not_o the_o strength_n and_o virtue_n of_o the_o mind_n be_v no_o way_n able_a to_o fulfil_v or_o perform_v what_o he_o shall_v do_v for_o many_o thing_n do_v bring_v with_o they_o many_o trouble_n and_o vexation_n therefore_o let_v every_o man_n that_o be_v a_o ruler_n procure_v first_o with_o all_o industry_n of_o his_o mind_n that_o in_o all_o thing_n he_o may_v be_v sure_a of_o the_o help_n of_o god_n for_o if_o in_o his_o do_n he_o have_v the_o lord_n and_o governor_n of_o all_o lord_n and_o governor_n to_o his_o helper_n no_o man_n can_v set_v light_a or_o despise_v his_o ordinance_n and_o rule_n because_o there_o be_v no_o power_n but_o of_o god_n he_o lift_v up_o the_o poor_a and_o needy_a out_o of_o the_o very_a dunghill_n and_o make_v he_o to_o sit_v with_o
