he_o but_o if_o god_n command_v in_o the_o law_n to_o help_v our_o enemy_n ox_n or_o ass_n have_v need_n of_o help_n we_o be_v more_o bind_v by_o the_o law_n of_o charity_n to_o help_v himself_o and_o unless_o we_o reprove_v he_o we_o be_v partaker_n of_o his_o sin_n as_o have_v be_v say_v which_o we_o ought_v not_o to_o be_v because_o we_o have_v enough_o of_o our_o own_o what_o be_v the_o degree_n of_o private_a admonition_n they_o be_v two_o admonition_n the_o former_a be_v most_o private_a do_v by_o one_o the_o other_o be_v private_a also_o but_o more_o public_a than_o the_o first_o and_o it_o be_v do_v by_o two_o or_o three_o at_o the_o most_o whereof_o he_o that_o first_o admonish_v must_v be_v one_o mat._n 18._o 15_o 16._o why_o have_v our_o saviour_n christ_n limit_v we_o he_o matth._n 18._o 15._o be_v we_o bind_v to_o reprove_v all_o man_n of_o what_o profession_n soever_o no_o but_o he_o that_o be_v of_o the_o same_o profession_n of_o christianity_n that_o we_o be_v of_o who_o the_o scripture_n term_v a_o brother_n thereby_o shut_v forth_o jew_n turk_n heretic_n and_o atheist_n except_o we_o have_v some_o particular_a bond_n as_o of_o a_o master_n to_o his_o servant_n or_o father_n to_o his_o child_n or_o magistrate_n to_o his_o subject_n what_o learn_v you_o thereby_o 1._o that_o we_o observe_v this_o in_o our_o admonition_n that_o he_o be_v a_o brother_n who_o we_o admonish_v and_o not_o such_o a_o one_o as_o be_v a_o scorner_n 2._o that_o we_o be_v not_o to_o make_v light_n of_o or_o contemn_v the_o admonition_n of_o other_o but_o to_o accept_v of_o they_o and_o account_v of_o they_o as_o a_o precious_a balm_n how_o must_v we_o reprove_v our_o brother_n fault_n first_o reprove_v we_o must_v be_v sure_a that_o it_o be_v a_o fault_n we_o reprove_v he_o for_o and_o then_o we_o must_v be_v able_a to_o convince_v he_o thereof_o out_o of_o the_o word_n of_o god_n so_o that_o he_o shall_v not_o be_v able_a to_o gainsay_v we_o unless_o he_o do_v it_o contemptuous_o it_o be_v better_a for_o we_o not_o to_o reprove_v he_o than_o not_o to_o be_v able_a to_o convince_v he_o by_o the_o word_n of_o that_o we_o have_v reprove_v he_o in_o last_o we_o ought_v to_o do_v it_o with_o all_o love_n and_o mildness_n regard_v the_o circumstance_n of_o person_n time_n and_o place_n not_o inconsiderate_o nor_o of_o hatred_n or_o to_o reproach_v he_o or_o as_o one_o that_o be_v glad_a of_o somewhat_o to_o hurt_v his_o good_a name_n what_o be_v mean_v by_o tell_v he_o between_o thou_o and_o he_o matth._n 18._o 15._o that_o the_o good_a name_n and_o report_n of_o another_o man_n shall_v be_v so_o regard_v by_o we_o that_o if_o his_o fault_n be_v private_a we_o be_v not_o to_o spread_v it_o abroad_o as_o some_o that_o think_v they_o be_v burden_a unless_o they_o tell_v it_o to_o other_o which_o be_v not_o the_o rule_n of_o charity_n why_o be_v this_o add_v if_o he_o hear_v thou_o thou_o have_v gain_v thy_o brother_n as_o a_o notable_a mean_n to_o encourage_v we_o in_o this_o duty_n for_o if_o the_o bestow_n of_o a_o cup_n of_o cold_a water_n shall_v not_o be_v unrewarded_a how_o much_o more_o the_o gain_n of_o a_o soul_n from_o satan_n what_o if_o our_o brother_n hear_v we_o not_o and_o so_o we_o do_v not_o gain_v he_o notwithstanding_o we_o lose_v not_o our_o labour_n but_o our_o reward_n
