promise_n of_o mercy_n even_o unto_o israel_n and_o second_o this_o mercy_n to_o be_v in_o future_a generation_n and_o three_o to_o consist_v in_o the_o multitude_n that_o shall_v be_v gather_v to_o israel_n these_o three_o thing_n be_v observable_a in_o general_n first_o that_o there_o be_v such_o a_o gracious_a promise_n immediate_o after_o such_o a_o sore_a and_o dreadful_a threaten_n as_o this_o as_o indeed_o it_o be_v one_o of_o the_o most_o dreadful_a threaten_n we_o have_v in_o all_o the_o book_n of_o god_n yet_o here_o in_o the_o close_a of_o the_o chapter_n we_o have_v as_o gracious_a a_o promise_n again_o as_o be_v in_o the_o whole_a book_n of_o god_n from_o whence_o we_o may_v observe_v thus_o much_o that_o the_o lord_n in_o judgement_n remember_v mercy_n observe_v it_o be_v a_o sore_a thing_n when_o god_n in_o mercy_n shall_v remember_v judgement_n but_o it_o be_v as_o comfortable_a when_o god_n in_o judgement_n remember_v mercy_n when_o god_n threaten_v most_o on_o the_o other_o side_n when_o we_o hear_v of_o his_o wrath_n on_o unbelieved_a heart_n be_v take_v up_o as_o well_o and_o never_o think_v of_o his_o grace_n and_o mercy_n we_o ought_v to_o oughto_o be_v sanctify_v in_o both_o the_o first_o be_v in_o that_o 34._o of_o exod._n 6._o 7._o the_o lord_n there_o when_o he_o pass_v by_o before_o moses_n proclaim_v the_o lord_n the_o lord_n they_o sure_o some_o body_n or_o other_o have_v displease_v my_o master_n abroad_o to_o day_n he_o be_v so_o touchy_a so_o angry_a upon_o every_o little_a thing_n my_o brethren_n it_o be_v a_o dishonour_n to_o you_o in_o the_o eye_n of_o your_o servant_n and_o it_o lay_v low_a your_o authority_n in_o your_o family_n for_o they_o to_o see_v you_o come_v home_o in_o such_o a_o per_fw-mi fearful_a they_o be_v then_o afraid_a of_o god_n wrath_n that_o they_o shall_v be_v swallow_v up_o in_o the_o common_a calamity_n be_v of_o good_a comfort_n god_n know_v those_o that_o trust_v in_o he_o even_o when_o his_o wrath_n be_v never_o so_o dreadful_a and_o general_a abroad_o in_o the_o world_n it_o be_v in_o this_o case_n with_o god_n child_n as_o it_o be_v with_o a_o child_n in_o the_o mother_n arm_n if_o the_o father_n violent_o lay_v hold_v upon_o his_o servant_n and_o beat_v he_o and_o thrust_v he_o out_o of_o door_n for_o his_o demerit_n there_o be_v such_o a_o terrible_a reflection_n from_o the_o father_n anger_n against_o the_o servant_n upon_o the_o child_n that_o the_o poor_a child_n fall_v a_o cry_v so_o it_o be_v with_o the_o child_n of_o god_n when_o they_o see_v god_n in_o a_o terrible_a way_n â—aying_v hold_n upon_o wicked_a man_n to_o execute_v wrath_n upon_o they_o they_o cry_v out_o they_o be_v afraid_a lest_o some_o evil_n shall_v befall_v they_o too_o oh_o no_o be_v of_o good_a comfort_n the_o lord_n be_v good_a and_o a_o strong_a hold_n in_o the_o day_n of_o trouble_n and_o know_v they_o that_o trust_v in_o he_o when_o his_o anger_n be_v
