the_o harshness_n and_o unreasonable_a severity_n or_o which_o too_o often_o happen_v through_o the_o ill_a design_n and_o practice_n of_o their_o master_n this_o be_v so_o common_a and_o notorious_a that_o there_o be_v no_o part_n of_o the_o nation_n which_o have_v not_o many_o example_n of_o such_o unhappy_a young_a man_n who_o may_v have_v be_v very_o useful_a in_o their_o generation_n but_o by_o these_o mean_n be_v drive_v either_o into_o ill_a course_n or_o become_v altogether_o useless_a to_o the_o public_a and_o a_o burden_n to_o their_o relation_n and_o therefore_o since_o the_o pretence_n or_o other_o to_o turn_v they_o off_o with_o little_a and_o take_v other_o again_o with_o great_a sum_n in_o their_o place_n and_o that_o divers_a ill_a art_n and_o practice_n have_v be_v observe_v to_o have_v be_v use_v by_o such_o person_n to_o bring_v their_o design_n about_o and_o worse_a to_o put_v some_o colour_n upon_o their_o deal_n when_o they_o have_v be_v question_v for_o remedy_n this_o i_o know_v to_o be_v a_o common_a receive_v opinion_n even_o with_o understanding_n and_o very_o honest_a and_o worthy_a citizen_n and_o such_o as_o do_v neither_o practise_v it_o themselves_o nor_o approve_v it_o in_o other_o yet_o they_o think_v if_o a_o man_n will_v be_v so_o severe_a and_o merciless_a as_o to_o ruin_v a_o youngman_n for_o such_o a_o matter_n he_o may_v do_v it_o without_o remedy_n it_o be_v certain_o contrary_a to_o natural_a equity_n and_o justice_n not_o only_o to_o the_o law_n of_o christianity_n but_o even_o of_o humanity_n for_o the_o consequence_n have_v have_v those_o advantage_n which_o he_o can_v not_o have_v for_o any_o other_o but_o usual_o it_o be_v a_o disappointment_n of_o all_o for_o have_v serve_v in_o one_o trade_n till_o he_o be_v too_o old_a to_o be_v put_v to_o another_o and_o be_v turn_v away_o by_o his_o master_n it_o be_v rare_a that_o another_o of_o the_o same_o trade_n especial_o will_v take_v he_o so_o that_o he_o become_v thereby_o disappoint_v of_o all_o now_o shall_v we_o look_v upon_o this_o under_o the_o notion_n of_o punishment_n it_o be_v very_o unreasonable_a for_o punishment_n ought_v to_o bear_v some_o proportion_n to_o the_o fault_n especial_o such_o as_o be_v not_o public_a but_o here_o be_v no_o proportion_n between_o they_o beside_o the_o circumstance_n of_o the_o person_n ought_v to_o
