not_o only_o the_o displeasure_n of_o god_n but_o of_o their_o master_n too_o their_o good_a fortune_n depend_v direct_o and_o immediate_o on_o their_o good_a behaviour_n and_o it_o be_v next_o to_o allay_v fear_n and_o check_n mix_v with_o their_o sinful_a enjoyment_n than_o other_o have_v so_o that_o upon_o the_o whole_a i_o may_v conclude_v that_o the_o servant_n who_o live_v in_o any_o course_n of_o vice_n be_v of_o all_o sot_n the_o most_o desperate_a he_o break_v through_o more_o restraint_n to_o commit_v sin_n he_o run_v more_o hazard_n to_o be_v damn_v than_o any_o other_o man_n wretch_n thou_o do_v trust_v these_o thy_o dear_a concern_v with_o thou_o can_v not_o but_o think_v thyself_o as_o desperate_a a_o fool_n as_o thou_o be_v desperate_o wicked_a so_o that_o as_o to_o this_o end_n of_o thy_o theft_n the_o gratify_v some_o wild_a and_o lewd_a affection_n the_o more_o thou_o do_v succeed_v in_o it_o the_o more_o desperate_a and_o deplorable_a be_v thy_o state_n the_o two_o other_o end_n namely_o the_o satisfaction_n of_o thy_o covetousness_n or_o thy_o security_n against_o future_a want_n be_v in_o all_o probability_n subvert_v and_o defeat_v by_o that_o very_a sin_n by_o which_o thou_o do_v endeavour_v to_o attain_v they_o for_o thy_o theft_n forfeit_v the_o favour_n and_o patronage_n of_o god_n thy_o distrust_n and_o this_o course_n it_o put_v thou_o upon_o be_v a_o open_a renounce_n and_o relinquish_a the_o care_n and_o providence_n of_o god_n over_o thou_o so_o that_o though_o thy_o sin_n shall_v be_v conceal_v from_o man_n thou_o can_v expect_v they_o commit_v the_o thing_n and_o deny_v it_o to_o be_v theft_n just_a like_a man_n that_o acknowledge_v rebellion_n a_o sin_n but_o will_v not_o own_o take_n up_o arm_n against_o the_o supreme_a magistrate_n to_o be_v rebellion_n give_v i_o leave_v therefore_o to_o tell_v you_o that_o when_o i_o make_v theft_n to_o be_v the_o convert_v your_o master_n good_n to_o your_o own_o use_n i_o understand_v by_o it_o all_o act_n of_o you_o by_o which_o your_o master_n suffer_v detriment_n and_o wrong_n for_o instance_n not_o only_o the_o deceive_v he_o in_o what_o be_v in_o your_o own_o trust_n or_o the_o pilfer_n what_o be_v in_o another_o or_o the_o take_n to_o yourselves_o any_o way_n unjust_o what_o be_v his_o but_o also_o the_o give_v away_o to_o other_o without_o his_o attendant_n and_o hanger_n on_o their_o parasite_n and_o flatterer_n who_o at_o once_o soothe_v they_o in_o their_o pride_n and_o vanity_n by_o fawn_v and_o flatter_v and_o cherish_v they_o in_o their_o idleness_n by_o do_v their_o business_n i_o must_v put_v you_o in_o mind_n further_o that_o i_o mean_v by_o your_o master_n good_n whatever_o he_o possess_v whatever_o it_o be_v wherein_o he_o can_v suffer_v or_o you_o commit_v wrong_a and_o in_o the_o last_o place_n i_o must_v put_v you_o in_o mind_n that_o you_o be_v guilty_a not_o only_o of_o the_o wrong_n and_o injustice_n which_o you_o personal_o commit_v but_o also_o of_o whatever_o be_v commit_v by_o any_o other_o if_o you_o consent_v to_o it_o and_o connive_v at_o it_o even_o though_o you_o shall_v receive_v no_o benefit_n by_o peradventure_o this_o sort_n of_o theft_n be_v not_o to_o be_v load_v with_o all_o the_o aggravation_n of_o the_o former_a yet_o the_o least_o that_o can_v be_v say_v of_o it_o be_v that_o it_o be_v a_o downright_a injustice_n a_o breach_n of_o trust_n and_o extreme_a unfaithfulness_n towards_o the_o master_n but_o you_o will_v demand_v of_o i_o how_o be_v a_o servant_n to_o behave_v himself_o towards_o his_o guilty_a fellow-servant_n that_o he_o may_v in_o such_o a_o case_n as_o this_o acquit_v himself_o with_o a_o good_a conscience_n towards_o god_n and_o man_n if_o he_o conceal_v his_o fault_n he_o be_v unfaithful_a to_o his_o master_n if_o he_o discover_v it_o he_o be_v unkind_a to_o his_o fellow-servant_n he_o must_v betray_v the_o one_o or_o the_o other_o if_o he_o do_v not_o reveal_v the_o wrongâ—_n he_o see_v his_o master_n suffer_v and_o what_o be_v more_o his_o conscience_n must_v suffer_v too_o if_o he_o do_v he_o shall_v be_v hate_v and_o persecute_v by_o his_o fellow-servant_n as_o a_o informer_n nay_o peradventure_o what_o be_v worse_o than_o this_o he_o he_o that_o be_v accuse_v shall_v outwit_n he_o or_o shall_v be_v able_a to_o form_v a_o combination_n against_o he_o and_o so_o find_v more_o credit_n with_o the_o master_n and_o by_o consequence_n the_o good_a servant_n shall_v by_o his_o integrity_n and_o justice_n forfeit_v his_o place_n and_o it_o may_v be_v his_o reputation_n or_o at_o least_o live_v uneasy_o persecute_v by_o the_o vexatious_a calumny_n affront_n and_o unkindness_n of_o those_o other_o that_o be_v combine_v against_o he_o to_o this_o demand_n take_v this_o answer_n i_o shall_v never_o have_v fancy_v this_o objection_n have_v i_o not_o be_v extreme_o sensible_a of_o the_o frailty_n of_o man_n for_o whence_o shall_v any_o to_o his_o temporal_a and_o eternal_a interest_n acquaint_v he_o with_o the_o beauty_n and_o pleasure_n the_o security_n and_o advantage_n of_o virtue_n and_o the_o fear_n of_o god_n advise_v and_o exhort_v he_o earnest_o to_o expiate_v his_o sin_n by_o repentance_n towards_o god_n and_o restitution_n towards_o man_n mix_v this_o reproof_n ever_o and_o anon_o with_o profession_n of_o tenderness_n and_o affection_n for_o he_o with_o expression_n of_o your_o good_a meaning_n and_o sincere_a intention_n which_o he_o may_v discern_v by_o your_o accuse_v he_o only_o to_o himself_o and_o last_o with_o assurance_n that_o if_o he_o follow_v your_o advice_n he_o shall_v not_o suffer_v the_o least_o prejudice_n either_o in_o his_o credit_n or_o interest_n by_o your_o knowledge_n the_o peace_n and_o contentment_n of_o his_o mind_n for_o there_o can_v be_v a_o great_a plague_n and_o vexation_n to_o any_o man_n than_o a_o confident_a and_o careless_a servant_n nor_o be_v it_o a_o small_a matter_n that_o the_o master_n be_v force_v to_o bear_v the_o rudeness_n and_o contempt_n which_o a_o servant_n heedlessness_n and_o idleness_n be_v too_o plain_a a_o expression_n of_o it_o be_v a_o troublesome_a thing_n to_o a_o man_n to_o be_v level_v with_o his_o own_o servant_n yet_o so_o he_o be_v in_o this_o case_n for_o if_o there_o be_v no_o authority_n in_o the_o master_n nor_o fear_v or_o care_n in_o the_o servant_n if_o though_o the_o master_n may_v command_v the_o slothful_a servant_n will_v perform_v only_o what_o he_o please_v it_o be_v hard_a to_o say_v wherein_o
