the_o king_n majesty_n and_o the_o peace_n of_o their_o kingdom_n and_o that_o they_o be_v thereby_o necessitat_fw-la to_o keep_v up_o the_o force_n within_o this_o kingdom_n and_o to_o provide_v for_o their_o entertainment_n have_v therefore_o think_v fit_a to_o prorogate_v and_o continue_v the_o monthly_a maintenance_n in_o that_o same_o proportion_n it_o be_v first_o lay_v on_o and_o that_o for_o the_o space_n of_o five_o month_n viz._n from_o the_o first_o day_n of_o march_n last_o to_o the_o first_o day_n of_o august_n next_o to_o come_v and_o therefore_o statute_n and_o ordain_v that_o ilk_fw-mi shire_n and_o burgh_n within_o this_o kingdom_n be_v and_o shall_v be_v liable_a and_o oblige_v in_o payment_n of_o the_o particular_a sum_n of_o money_n underwritten_a for_o each_o of_o the_o five_o month_n maintenance_n abovemention_v at_o the_o time_n and_o with_o the_o exception_n after_o specify_v and_o ordain_v the_o same_o to_o be_v pay_v in_o to_o sir_n john_n weems_n of_o bogie_n thesaurer_n of_o the_o army_n and_o collector_n general_n of_o the_o say_a maintenance_n or_o his_o deputy_n and_o subcollector_n appoint_v by_o he_o for_o receive_v thereof_o at_o the_o term_n follow_v viz._n the_o first_o three_o month_n of_o march_n april_n and_o may_n betwixt_o and_o the_o last_o day_n of_o may_n and_o the_o other_o two_o month_n of_o june_n and_o july_n betwixt_o the_o burgh_n be_v free_a of_o all_o payment_n of_o the_o foresaid_n fee_n inregard_n they_o collect_v their_o proportion_n upon_o their_o own_o charge_n and_o also_o with_o power_n to_o he_o to_o nominate_v a_o clerk_n to_o this_o maintenance_n who_o be_v to_o have_v the_o same_o fee_n for_o their_o five_o month_n proportionable_a as_o be_v allow_v by_o parliament_n for_o the_o last_o nine_o month_n and_o the_o estate_n ordain_v that_o the_o letter_n and_o charge_n to_o follow_v upon_o this_o act_n for_o payment_n of_o the_o foresay_a maintenance_n shall_v be_v raisit_n and_o direct_v at_o the_o instance_n of_o the_o say_a sir_n john_n weemes_n and_o collector_n aforesaid_a against_o the_o subcollector_n of_o shire_n magistrate_n of_o burrows_n collector_n of_o parish_n heretor_n fewer_n liferenters_a and_o other_o adebt_v in_o payment_n of_o their_o several_a proportion_n of_o this_o maintenance_n now_o impose_v with_o reservation_n of_o the_o suspension_n underwritten_a and_o ordain_v the_o say_a subcollector_n collector_n of_o parish_n heritor_n fewer_n liferenters_a and_o other_o so_o to_o be_v charge_v by_o the_o general_n commissary_n to_o have_v letter_n of_o relief_n as_o be_v ordain_v by_o the_o act_n for_o the_o tax_v and_o loan_n and_o for_o the_o more_o speedy_a ingatherin_o of_o the_o say_n five_o month_n maintenance_n at_o the_o term_n of_o payment_n above_o write_v the_o general_n collector_n be_v hereby_o warrant_v that_o if_o any_o shire_n or_o burgh_n be_v deficient_a in_o payment_n of_o their_o part_n of_o this_o maintenance_n at_o the_o time_n aforesaid_a he_o either_o employ_v some_o of_o his_o own_o troop_n or_o any_o other_o of_o the_o force_n that_o shall_v happen_v to_o be_v on_o the_o bound_n for_o the_o time_n as_o he_o shall_v think_v fit_a for_o uplift_v of_o this_o mainenance_n from_o the_o deficient_a shire_n burgh_n and_o parish_n and_o ilk_n trooper_n be_v to_o receive_v their_o entertainment_n from_o the_o deficient_o at_o the_o ordinary_a rate_n beside_o the_o payment_n of_o there_o maintence_n and_o it_o be_v hereby_o ordain_v that_o the_o commit_v of_o war_n be_v aid_v and_o assist_v to_o the_o general_n commissary_n herein_o for_o inbr_v of_o this_o maintenance_n and_o now_o the_o estate_n of_o parliament_n understand_v by_o the_o report_n of_o the_o proceed_n of_o the_o commissioner_n late_o employ_v for_o try_v of_o burn_a and_o waste_v land_n that_o the_o shire_n and_o burgh_n underwrite_v be_v not_o able_a to_o make_v ready_a one_fw-mi total_a payment_n of_o the_o sum_n impose_v on_o they_o for_o this_o maintenance_n therefore_o until_o far_a trial_n be_v take_v therein_o the_o parliament_n do_v hereby_o suspend_v the_o lift_n of_o the_o particular_a sum_n underwrite_v from_o
