by_o the_o queen_n ¶_o a_o proclamation_n for_o restraint_n of_o transportation_n of_o grain_n beyond_o the_o sea_n the_o queen_n majesty_n understand_v of_o the_o sudden_a increase_n of_o the_o pryce_n of_o grain_n for_o the_o more_o part_n universal_o in_o the_o realm_n as_o it_o be_v to_o be_v conjecture_v part_o by_o the_o unseasonablenesse_n of_o the_o late_a harvest_n time_n and_o part_o by_o reason_n of_o excessive_a transportation_n of_o grain_n out_o of_o the_o realm_n into_o the_o party_n beyond_o the_o sea_n whereby_o if_o stay_n be_v not_o speedy_o make_v for_o any_o further_a transportation_n there_o may_v follow_v a_o great_a dearth_n which_o shall_v hardly_o be_v bear_v of_o a_o great_a number_n of_o her_o good_a love_a subject_n do_v therefore_o straight_o charge_v and_o command_v all_o manner_n her_o subject_n and_o other_o inhabitant_n within_o this_o realm_n to_o forbear_v from_o the_o day_n of_o the_o publication_n hereof_o from_o the_o shyp_a or_o lade_v into_o any_o vessel_n any_o manner_n of_o grain_n to_o the_o intent_n the_o same_o shall_v be_v direct_o or_o indirect_o carry_v and_o transport_v into_o any_o part_n beyond_o the_o sea_n upon_o pain_n of_o imprisonment_n and_o other_o further_a punishment_n due_a by_o the_o law_n of_o the_o realm_n and_o if_o any_o officer_n in_o any_o port_n town_n as_o customer_n comptroller_n searcher_n or_o such_o like_a shall_v either_o themselves_o offend_v herein_o or_o shall_v not_o do_v their_o endeavour_n to_o stay_v any_o such_o transportation_n or_o if_o they_o can_v convenient_o stay_v the_o same_o shall_v not_o make_v due_a and_o speedy_a infourmation_n thereof_o to_o her_o majesty_n her_o privy_a counsel_n or_o to_o the_o principal_a officer_n of_o her_o exchequer_n than_o they_o beside_o the_o former_a punishment_n to_o forfeit_v their_o office_n and_o consydery_v it_o can_v be_v well_o avoid_v but_o that_o some_o quantity_n of_o grain_n be_v to_o be_v carry_v from_o one_o port_n to_o another_o port_n to_o serve_v the_o necessity_n of_o some_o other_o part_n of_o the_o realm_n in_o such_o case_n the_o officer_n of_o the_o port_n shall_v diligent_o see_v that_o good_a surety_n with_o bond_n be_v take_v of_o person_n be_v of_o valour_n answerable_a for_o the_o same_o to_o bring_v due_a certificate_n from_o the_o port_n where_o the_o same_o shall_v aryve_n and_o be_v unlade_v and_o that_o for_o more_o assurance_n thereof_o the_o officer_n of_o the_o port_n shall_v thereof_o make_v their_o certificate_n into_o the_o exchequer_n within_o two_o month_n after_o the_o arrival_n thereof_o upon_o pain_n of_o forfeiture_n of_o their_o office_n and_o for_o that_o it_o be_v think_v that_o it_o shall_v appear_v by_o the_o end_n of_o october_n next_o what_o effect_n shall_v follow_v hereof_o to_o the_o diminution_n of_o the_o excessive_a price_n her_o majesty_n mean_v that_o this_o manner_n of_o restraint_n shall_v not_o continue_v by_o force_n of_o this_o proclamation_n but_o to_o the_o end_n of_o the_o say_a month_n of_o october_n now_o follow_v give_v at_o woodstock_n the_o xvi_o day_n of_o september_n 1572_o the_o fourteen_o year_n of_o her_o majesty_n reign_n god_n save_o the_o queen_n imprint_v at_o london_n in_o paul_n church_n yard_n by_o richard_n jugge_n printer_n to_o the_o queen_n majesty_n cum_fw-la privilegio_fw-la regiae_n maiestatis_fw-la
