❧ A PROCLAMATION deuysed by the Kynges maiestie vvith the assent of his hyghnes counsell by the auctoritie of the acte made for proclamations for the vittalynge of the Kynges maiesties tovvne of Caleys Guysnes Hammes and the marches of the same made the .xx. day of May in the .xxxiii. yere of the kinges hyghnes reygne ALBEIT BY A proclamation deuysed by the kynges most royall maiestie with the assent and aduyse of his hyghnes counsell accordyng to the acte of parlyament in that case prouyded whyche proclamation heareth date the. xvi day of February in the. xxii yere of his maiesties reygne it is ordeyned and declared amonges other thynges after what sorte forme facion and condition any person or persons may transporte and conuey to the kynges maiesties town of Caleys vitayles other thynges expressed in the sayd proclamation necessary for the vytaylyng of the sayd towne and for the castels of Guysnes Hamnes in the matches of the same yet neuerthelesse the kynges moste royall maiestie myndynge more spedyer remedy for the vyttaylynge of his sayd towne of Caleys and castels and the marches theof than is ordeyned by his sayd proclamation is therfore pleased and contented and also ordeyneth by this his hyghnes proclamation made and deuysed by his maiestie by the aduyse and consent of his hyghnes counsell by auctoritie of the saide acte that it shal be laufull to all and syngular his subiectes to transporte and conueye to his hyghnes sayde towne of Caleys or the marches of the same all and syngular suche kyndes of vytaylles and other thynges as is specified in the sayde former proclamation without any certificat to be made to his hyghnes counsell from his gracis deputie of Caleys and other his hyghnes capitaynes offycers and mynysters of his sayde towne of Caleys and marches of the same and without his maiesties lycence vnder his gracis greatte seale to be opteyned for the same as is lymytted and ordeyned by his sayde former proclamation Any thynge in the sayde foriner proclamation to the contrarye thereof not withstandynge Soo that alwayes suche persone or persones as shall carye or transporte to his hyghnes sayd towne of Caleys or marches of the same any suche vyttayles or thynges mencioned in the sayd former proclamation before the shyppyng therof shal be bound with one sufficient suertie with hym vnto the customer comptroller of the port or creke where such vittailes or other thinges shal be shypped or to their deputies by an obligation sufficient in the lawe to the kynges vse in a certayne summe of money amountyng to the double value of the vyttayle or thynges that shal be so transported that the sayd vittayles and other thynges so shypped shal be truely without fraude or couyne transported and conucyed to the sayde towne of Calyes of the marches of the same for the vyttaylyng and reliefe therof and not to discharge the same in any other place out of the kynges dominions And that also the transporters and conueyers of suche vittayles or thynges aforesayde shall within suche conuenyent tyme as shall be lymytted by the dyscretion of the customer and comptroller or theyr deputies takynge suche bonde bryng a true and iuste certificate from the kynges deputie of Caleys and lyeftenantes and capytaynes of the castelles of Caleys Guysnes and Hammes and the treasourer marshall comptroller porter captayne of Ryse banke and vnder marshall of the sayde towne and marches or from thre of them vnder theyr seales and names or vnder the seales and names of thre of them at the least that the sayde vyttaylles and thynges so shipped were there dyscharged and delyuered accordyngly ¶ AND THE kynges mooste royall maiestie declareth and sygnifyeth by this his hyghnesse presente prodamation that yf any persone or persones that shal prouyde and take vpon hym to conuey and transport suche vyttaylles or thynges to his hyghnes sayd town of Caleys as is aforesayd do not the same accordyngly but salsely and vntruely conuey suche vyttayles and thynges to other places out of his domynyons or yf by fraude or couyne of any of the sayd deputie capiteynes and other mynysters aforesayde of his sayd towne and castelles or by any his subjectes or inhabytantes in the same the sayde vyttayles or thynges thyther transported and there delyuered for the relyefe therof shall be conueyde and caried from thense out of the ky●●●s domynyons that than the offendours in suche and in all other cases not repugnaunt or contraryant to this present proclamation nor dyspensed with by the same shall incurre and runne into the daungers losses peynes and penalities expressed and mencioned in the sayd former proclamation made the sayde .xvi. day of February in the. xxxii yere of the kynges maiestyes reygne Any thynge in this his hyghnes present proclamation to the contrary thereof not withstandynge ❧ GOD SAVE THE KYNGE ❧ Tho.
