dispose_v or_o batter_v as_o be_v aforesaid_a the_o one_o half_a to_o his_o majesty_n his_o heir_n and_o successor_n and_o the_o other_o half_a to_o he_o or_o they_o that_o will_v sue_v for_o the_o same_o by_o action_n of_o debt_n plaint_n or_o information_n in_o any_o court_n of_o record_n wherein_o no_o essoin_fw-fr protection_n or_o wager_n of_o law_n shall_v be_v allow_v or_o grant_v and_o any_o ship_n sloop_n or_o vessel_n or_o of_o any_o opposition_n resistance_n make_v in_o the_o seizure_n thereof_o to_o issue_v out_o his_o warrant_n to_o the_o high-sheriff_n under-sheriff_n constable_n or_o other_o officer_n require_v they_o to_o go_v on_o board_n such_o ship_n sloop_n or_o vessel_n and_o there_o to_o make_v diligent_a search_n and_o seizure_n of_o the_o say_a hide_n other_o as_o shall_v not_o give_v due_a obedience_n to_o this_o act._n shall_v upon_o command_n make_v to_o he_o in_o his_o majesty_n name_n refuse_v to_o be_v aid_v or_o assist_v to_o such_o sheriff_n or_o other_o officer_n in_o the_o execution_n of_o such_o warrant_n every_o such_o person_n so_o offend_v shall_v forfeit_v the_o sum_n of_o one_o thousand_o pound_n of_o tobacco_n with_o cask_n one_o half_a of_o all_o such_o fine_n and_o forfeiture_n to_o be_v pay_v to_o the_o king_n majesty_n and_o the_o other_o half_a to_o he_o or_o they_o that_o will_v inform_v to_o be_v recover_v as_o be_v before_o direct_v and_o it_o be_v further_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o every_o collector_n in_o this_o country_n shall_v at_o the_o entry_n of_o every_o ship_n or_o vessel_n acquaint_v every_o master_n of_o such_o ship_n or_o vessel_n with_o this_o act_n and_o enter_v a_o particular_a clause_n in_o the_o condition_n of_o their_o entry-bond_n for_o the_o performance_n of_o the_o same_o provide_v always_o and_o it_o be_v the_o true_a intent_n and_o meaning_n of_o this_o act_n that_o if_o any_o person_n or_o person_n shall_v hereafter_o be_v sue_v or_o implead_v by_o virtue_n hereof_o for_o the_o breach_n of_o any_o clause_n or_o prohibition_n herein_o contain_v upon_o the_o forfeiture_n or_o penalty_n herein_o before_o mention_v express_v or_o provide_v that_o then_o and_o in_o such_o case_n such_o person_n or_o person_n so_o prosecute_v sue_v or_o implead_v shall_v not_o be_v liablebe_n subject_a to_o be_v sue_v implead_v or_o prosecute_v continue_v in_o force_n until_o the_o ten_o day_n of_o november_n which_o shall_v be_v in_o the_o year_n of_o our_o lord_n 1685._o and_o from_o thence_o to_o the_o end_n of_o the_o next_o session_n and_o by_o that_o mean_n leave_v the_o country_n destitute_a of_o its_o own_o supply_n it_o be_v hereby_o enact_v that_o what_o person_n or_o person_n soever_o shall_v after_o the_o first_o of_o june_n next_o export_n out_o of_o the_o colony_n any_o english_a good_n not_o by_o he_o former_o import_v shall_v upon_o discovery_n forfeit_v such_o good_n and_o be_v fine_v the_o value_n the_o one_o half_a to_o the_o informer_n and_o the_o other_o to_o the_o public_a cxxiii_o no_o mare_n or_o sheep_n to_o be_v transport_v it_o be_v also_o enact_v that_o no_o mare_n or_o sheep_n be_v transport_v out_o of_o the_o country_n upon_o treble_a the_o value_n to_o be_v forfeit_v by_o the_o offender_n and_o by_o he_o pay_v one_o half_a to_o the_o informer_n and_o the_o other_o half_a to_o the_o the_o informer_n be_v it_o therefore_o enact_v that_o for_o the_o better_a prevention_n thereof_o that_o whosover_n shall_v steal_v or_o unlawful_o kill_v any_o hogg_n which_o be_v not_o his_o own_o and_o the_o say_a fact_n be_v prove_v by_o sufficient_a evidence_n he_o or_o they_o so_o offend_v shall_v pay_v to_o the_o owner_n of_o the_o say_v hogg_n one_o thousand_o pound_n of_o tobacco_n and_o one_o thousand_o pound_n of_o tobacco_n to_o the_o informer_n and_o in_o case_n of_o inability_n to_o pay_v and_o satisfy_v the_o say_v sum_n the_o person_n so_o offend_v shall_v serve_v two_o year_n viz._n one_o year_n to_o the_o right_a owner_n of_o the_o say_v hogg_n and_o the_o other_o to_o the_o informer_n and_o if_o any_o person_n be_v find_v to_o bring_v home_o any_o hog_n or_o hog_n so_o kill_v without_o their_o ear_n shall_v be_v adjudge_v a_o hog-stealer_n and_o to_o be_v proceed_v against_o according_o and_o that_o such_o person_n as_o shall_v receive_v such_o hog_n into_o their_o house_n and_o not_o immediate_o discover_v the_o same_o to_o the_o next_o commissioner_n than_o such_o receiver_n shall_v be_v proceed_v against_o as_o if_o he_o have_v be_v a_o actor_n in_o the_o bedding_n in_o the_o voyage_n in_o which_o particular_n aforesaid_a if_o any_o shall_v offend_v they_o shall_v be_v liable_a to_o grievous_a censure_n here_o according_a to_o the_o merit_n of_o the_o day_n ten_o day_n at_o least_o before_o his_o departure_n at_o the_o county_n court_n where_o he_o reside_v or_o otherwise_o shall_v put_v in_o sufficient_a security_n for_o the_o payment_n of_o all_o far_o as_o he_o know_v and_o that_o the_o mate_n boats-swain_n or_o any_o other_o sea_n man_n be_v swear_v if_o the_o collector_n see_v cause_n to_o discover_v the_o truth_n of_o the_o say_v freight_n and_o if_o any_o master_n of_o ship_n or_o vessel_n shall_v witting_o or_o willing_o conceal_v any_o part_n of_o his_o freight_n from_o the_o collector_n sterling_n master_n of_o ship_n conceal_v say_a imposition_n be_v it_o therefore_o enact_v that_o every_o planter_n in_o the_o county_n of_o northumberland_n and_o westmoreland_n shall_v certify_v into_o the_o collector_n office_n or_o unto_o his_o deputy_n the_o number_n of_o hogshead_n of_o tobacco_n make_v by_o he_o and_o his_o family_n and_o to_o who_o they_o be_v sell_v and_o shall_v not_o suffer_v any_o of_o the_o say_a hogshead_n of_o tobacco_n to_o be_v carry_v out_o of_o his_o house_n until_o he_o receive_v certificate_n from_o the_o say_a collector_n that_o the_o imposition_n of_o the_o say_a tobacco_n be_v pay_v and_o if_o any_o planter_n shall_v contrary_v to_o this_o act_n suffer_v any_o of_o his_o tobacco_n to_o be_v carry_v on_o board_n any_o ship_n boat_n or_o sloop_n without_o such_o certificate_n than_o the_o northampton_n county_n and_o low_a norfolk_n in_o recover_v the_o imposition_n of_o two_o and_o ten_o shilling_n per_fw-la hogshead_n as_o to_o the_o river_n of_o potomack_n by_o reason_n of_o the_o transportation_n of_o much_o of_o the_o tobacco_n make_v in_o those_o place_n in_o sloop_n to_o mary-land_n be_v it_o enact_v that_o the_o provitional_a act_n make_v the_o last_o assembly_n for_o payment_n of_o those_o duty_n in_o potomack_n river_n extend_v and_o be_v in_o force_n in_o the_o say_a county_n of_o lower_n norfolk_n and_o northampton_n and_o that_o the_o collector_n appoint_v certain_a person_n to_o take_v account_n of_o the_o planter_n according_a to_o the_o tenor_n of_o this_o act._n cxxx_o payment_n of_o fort-duty_n in_o accomack_n etc._n etc._n whereas_o there_o be_v a_o act_n of_o the_o last_o assembly_n provide_v for_o the_o secure_n of_o the_o payment_n of_o the_o 2_o s._n per_fw-la hdd._n due_a to_o the_o country_n but_o no_o provision_n make_v therein_o for_o the_o secure_v the_o payment_n of_o fort_n duty_n of_o potomack_n accomack_n and_o lin_z haven_n etc._n three_o penny_n per_fw-la hogshead_n payable_a for_o fort_n duty_n in_o accomack_n etc._n etc._n from_o whence_o they_o fetch_v their_o tobacco_n in_o sloop_n be_v it_o enact_v that_o the_o say_a act_n shall_v extend_v as_o well_o to_o cause_v the_o planter_n load_v it_o to_o reserve_v and_o before_o every_o session_n of_o assembly_n appoint_v a_o time_n and_o place_n for_o receive_v presentment_n of_o grievance_n such_o presentment_n shall_v be_v sign_v and_o it_o be_v hereby_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o the_o sheriff_n of_o each_o county_n shall_v before_o every_o session_n of_o assembly_n appoint_v a_o time_n and_o place_n for_o present_v give_v and_o receive_v all_o county-grievance_n which_o shall_v be_v sign_v by_o the_o party_n give_v the_o same_o and_o attest_v by_o the_o clerk_n of_o the_o county-court_n or_o chief_a magistrate_n so_o to_o be_v and_o all_o other_o private_a proposition_n or_o particular_a ag-grievance_n shall_v be_v sign_v by_o the_o party_n deliver_v the_o same_o or_o not_o to_o be_v receive_v into_o the_o assembly_n xii_o a_o act_n prohibit_v the_o exportation_n of_o raw-hides_a and_o deer-skin_n be_v it_o enact_v by_o the_o king_n most_o excellent_a majesty_n by_o and_o with_o the_o consent_n of_o the_o general_n assembly_n and_o it_o be_v hereby_o enact_v that_o from_o and_o after_o publication_n of_o this_o act_n it_o shall_v not_o be_v lawful_a for_o any_o person_n or_o person_n whatsoever_o to_o export_v out_o of_o this_o his_o majesty_n colony_n of_o virginia_n any_o untainted-hides_a or_o deer-skin_n upon_o the_o penalty_n of_o pay_v for_o every_o raw-hide_a or_o deer-skin_n one_o hundred_o pound_n of_o tobacco_n and_o cask_n that_o shall_v be_v find_v on_o board_n any_o ship_n boat_n sloop_n or_o other_o vessel_n in_o order_n to_o such_o exportation_n over_o and_o beside_o the_o forfeiture_n of_o all_o such_o raw-hides_a or_o deer-skin_n so_o find_v in_o exportation_n the_o one_o half_a to_o his_o majesty_n his_o heir_n and_o successor_n and_o the_o other_o half_a to_o he_o that_o shall_v make_v information_n thereof_o and_o all_o collector_n of_o the_o two_o shilling_n per_fw-la hogshead_n and_o penny_n per_fw-la pound_n custom_n be_v hereby_o require_v and_o enjoin_v on_o every_o information_n and_o suspicion_n of_o such_o exportation_n to_o make_v diligent_a search_n and_o seizure_n according_o xiii_o a_o act_n prohibit_v unlawful_a disturbance_n of_o divine_a service_n be_v it_o enact_v by_o the_o king_n most_o excellent_a majesty_n by_o and_o with_o the_o consent_n of_o the_o general_n assembly_n and_o it_o be_v hereby_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o whosoever_o from_o and_o after_o the_o publication_n of_o this_o act_n after_o any_o person_n that_o shall_v disturb_v the_o minister_n during_o the_o exercise_n of_o his_o ministerial_a function_n shall_v for_o the_o first_o offence_n be_v fine_v 200_o l._n of_o tobacco_n and_o 500_o for_o every_o such_o offence_n after_o shall_v appear_v in_o any_o church_n or_o chapel_n within_o this_o his_o majesty_n colony_n whilst_o the_o minister_n be_v exercise_v his_o ministerial_a function_n and_o shall_v disturb_v he_o by_o word_n or_o any_o other_o manner_n of_o mean_n whatsoever_o or_o shall_v there_o appear_v in_o any_o unseemly_a or_o undecent_a gesture_n any_o justice_n sheriff_z or_o other_o officer_n then_o present_a shall_v put_v such_o person_n or_o person_n so_o offend_v under_o restraint_n during_o divine_a service_n who_o shall_v also_o for_o the_o first_o offence_n be_v fine_v two_o hundred_o pound_n of_o tobacco_n and_o cask_n and_o for_o every_o such_o offence_n as_o shall_v be_v by_o they_o or_o any_o of_o they_o commit_v after_o in_o the_o like_a quality_n shall_v be_v fine_v five_o hundred_o pound_n of_o like_a tobacco_n and_o cask_n for_o every_o such_o offence_n which_o fine_n shall_v be_v levy_v by_o the_o sheriff_n upon_o the_o estate_n of_o the_o person_n or_o person_n so_o offend_v by_o virtue_n of_o a_o warrant_n from_o a_o justice_n of_o the_o peace_n and_o such_o justice_n of_o the_o peace_n that_o shall_v refuse_v or_o neglect_v to_o put_v this_o law_n into_o severe_a execution_n shall_v be_v fine_v five_o hundred_o pound_n of_o tobacco_n and_o cask_n to_o the_o use_n of_o the_o parish_n for_o every_o such_o neglect_n fourteen_o a_o act_n revive_v and_o reinforcing_a a_o act_n make_v at_o james-city_n the_o 20_o the_o of_o october_n 1665._o and_o put_v the_o same_o in_o due_a execution_n be_v it_o enact_v by_o the_o king_n most_o excellent_a majesty_n by_o and_o with_o the_o consent_n of_o the_o general_n assembly_n and_o it_o be_v hereby_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o the_o eight_o act_n of_o assembly_n make_v at_o james-city_n the_o 20_o of_o october_n 1665._o entitle_v a_o act_n concern_v indian_n be_v and_o hereby_o be_v revive_v and_o reinforce_v to_o the_o end_n the_o same_o be_v put_v in_o due_a and_o effectual_a execution_n xv._o a_o act_n for_o the_o well_o clear_v the_o head_n of_o the_o river_n and_o creek_n from_o log_n and_o tree_n for_o the_o more_o safe_a passage_n of_o sloop_n and_o bo_n whereas_o the_o neglect_v of_o clear_v the_o head_n and_o other_o part_n of_o river_n and_o creek_n from_o log_n tree_n root_n of_o tree_n and_o other_o rubbish_n have_v occasion_v and_o endanger_v the_o loss_n of_o several_a sloope_n boat_n tobacco_n and_o merchandize_v good_n in_o carriage_n thereof_o to_o and_o from_o the_o ship_n for_o the_o better_a prevention_n thereof_o for_o the_o future_a etc._n justice_n of_o the_o country_n court_n shall_v annual_o appoint_v the_o surveyor_n of_o the_o river_n and_o creek_n to_o clear_v the_o same_o from_o all_o tree_n log_n rubbish_n etc._n etc._n be_v it_o enact_v by_o the_o king_n most_o excellent_a majesty_n by_o and_o with_o the_o consent_n of_o the_o general_n assembly_n and_o it_o be_v hereby_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o from_o and_o after_o the_o publication_n of_o this_o law_n the_o respective_a justice_n of_o the_o several_a county-court_n do_v annual_o in_o june_n or_o july-court_n appoint_v and_o order_v the_o surveyor_n for_o the_o river_n to_o clear_v all_o and_o all_o manner_n of_o log_n tree_n root_n of_o tree_n and_o other_o rubbish_n as_o may_v any_o way_n hurt_v and_o endanger_v any_o sloop_n boat_n or_o other_o vessel_n from_o out_o of_o the_o respective_a river_n or_o creek_n head_n or_o part_n of_o any_o river_n or_o rivers_n creek_n or_o creek_n within_o their_o county_n and_o limit_v bound_n as_o surveyor_n which_o say_v clear_v and_o removal_n of_o all_o log_n tree_n root_n of_o tree_n and_o other_o rubbish_n shall_v be_v as_o aforesaid_a annual_o perform_v according_a to_o the_o true_a intent_n and_o meaning_n of_o this_o act_n under_o such_o pain_n and_o penalty_n for_o every_o delinquent_n and_o offender_n as_o be_v set_v down_o in_o 97th_o act_n of_o assembly_n in_o the_o print_a book_n entitle_v tobacco_n such_o as_o shall_v fall_v tree_n into_o the_o river_n and_o not_o clear_a away_o the_o same_o fine_v 500_o l._n of_o tobacco_n surveyor_n for_o highway_n and_o if_o any_o shall_v presume_v to_o fall_v tree_n into_o the_o river_n or_o creek_n and_o not_o clear_v the_o same_o the_o offender_n shall_v be_v fine_v five_o hundred_o pound_n of_o tobacco_n the_o first_o offence_n to_o the_o use_n of_o the_o county_n and_o for_o the_o second_o one_o thousand_o pound_n of_o tobacco_n to_o the_o use_n aforesaid_a xvi_o additional_a fee_n ascertain_v to_o county-court_n clerk_n be_v it_o enact_v by_o the_o king_n most_o excellent_a majesty_n by_o and_o with_o the_o consent_n of_o the_o general_n assembly_n and_o it_o be_v hereby_o enact_v that_o those_o additional_a fee_n hereafter_o set_v down_o over_o and_o beside_o the_o fee_n nominate_v in_o the_o print_a book_n be_v demand_v and_o take_v by_o county-court_n clerk_n as_o just_a fee_n and_o none_o other_o viz._n  _fw-fr l._n tobacco_n
