trial_n of_o the_o measure_n and_o weight_n use_v in_o burgh_n and_o to_o take_v a_o note_n from_o the_o magistrate_n and_o dean_n of_o gilled_a of_o every_o town_n of_o the_o weight_n and_o measure_n and_o of_o the_o number_n thereof_o which_o the_o say_n magistrate_n and_o dean_n of_o gilled_a in_o burgh_n shall_v be_v hold_v to_o show_v declare_v and_o give_v up_o to_o they_o to_o the_o effect_n the_o say_n justice_n to_o landwart_v may_v confer_v the_o same_o with_o the_o standard_n now_o authorize_v and_o where_o they_o find_v any_o disconformity_n in_o the_o same_o from_o the_o say_a standard_n the_o say_n justice_n shall_v inform_v the_o king_n majesty_n council_n thereof_o that_o they_o may_v take_v order_n therewith_o as_o appertain_v for_o it_o be_v express_o provide_v by_o these_o present_n that_o the_o say_n magistrate_n in_o burgh_n shall_v not_o be_v permit_v to_o have_v or_o use_v more_o measure_n within_o town_n than_o the_o number_n to_o be_v profess_v by_o they_o and_o give_v up_o in_o writ_n to_o the_o say_n justice_n to_o landwart_v as_o say_v be_v this_o always_o be_v respect_v that_o if_o the_o say_n magistrate_n within_o burgh_n find_v any_o necessity_n for_o have_v any_o more_o measure_n than_o be_v give_v up_o and_o use_v by_o they_o before_o it_o shall_v be_v licence_v to_o they_o to_o make_v more_o measure_n they_o be_v answerable_a and_o conform_a to_o the_o standard_n and_o make_v the_o say_n justice_n to_o landwart_v foresee_v and_o acquaint_v therewith_o and_o declare_v the_o number_n of_o the_o measure_n whereof_o they_o find_v the_o necessity_n of_o use_n the_o say_n justice_n shall_v be_v hold_v to_o give_v command_n and_o direction_n to_o their_o constable_n to_o apprehend_v any_o such_o person_n who_o shall_v be_v find_v contemptuous_o to_o have_v disobey_v the_o censure_n of_o the_o church_n they_o be_v lawful_o require_v to_o do_v the_o same_o the_o say_n justice_n of_o peace_n as_o well_o to_o burgh_n as_o land_n shall_v conveen_v and_o be_v present_a at_o the_o quarter_n session_n of_o the_o shire_n where_o the_o burgh_n and_o land_n lie_v give_v their_o oath_n to_o the_o bench_n at_o their_o admission_n make_v their_o record_n and_o make_v payment_n of_o the_o fine_n intromet_v with_o by_o they_o as_o justices_z of_o peace_n of_o that_o shire_n to_o their_o collector_n they_o shall_v appoint_v a_o sufficient_a collector_n for_o uplift_v the_o fine_n and_o penalty_n which_o they_o have_v power_n to_o impose_v upon_o a_o offender_n and_o be_v to_o take_v caution_n of_o he_o for_o make_v due_a account_n they_o shall_v have_v during_o the_o time_n of_o session_n for_o every_o day_n of_o their_o abode_n so_o it_o do_v not_o exceed_v the_o number_n of_o three_o day_n at_o the_o most_o at_o one_o time_n allow_v to_o every_o one_o of_o they_o forty_o shilling_n scot_n money_n daily_o to_o be_v pay_v and_o uplift_v by_o the_o collector_n of_o the_o fine_n but_o neither_o earl_n lord_n bishop_n privy_a councillor_n or_o sessioner_n shall_v have_v any_o allowance_n and_o all_o such_o justice_n as_o have_v the_o benefit_n of_o that_o allowance_n and_o shall_v be_v absent_a from_o every_o ordinary_a quarter_n session_n or_o otherways_o when_o he_o be_v require_v lawful_o by_o the_o custos_fw-la rotulorum_fw-la to_o any_o particular_a meeting_n shall_v incur_v the_o penalty_n of_o forty_o pound_n scot_n money_n not_o be_v lawful_o excuse_v and_o the_o excuse_v allow_v by_o the_o rest_n of_o the_o justice_n there_o assemble_v the_o lord_n of_o session_n shall_v direct_v general_a and_o summar_n charge_n of_o horning_n and_o poind_v at_o the_o instance_n of_o the_o collector_n appoint_v in_o every_o country_n for_o ingather_v all_o fine_n and_o penalty_n whatsoever_o
