majesty_n then_o high_a commissioner_n and_o the_o right_n honourable_a estate_n then_o assemble_v in_o parliament_n the_o treatment_n which_o our_o company_n meet_v with_o at_o london_n and_o hamburgh_n as_o aforesaid_a the_o great_a prejudices_fw-la which_o we_o have_v sustain_v thereby_o and_o the_o many_o further_a inconvenience_n and_o evil_a consequence_n that_o must_v necessary_o have_v follow_v thereupon_o if_o upon_o any_o account_n whatsoever_o the_o parliament_n shall_v happen_v to_o neglect_v the_o take_n immediate_a cognizance_n of_o such_o usage_n and_o the_o parliament_n have_v thereupon_o by_o their_o unanimous_a address_n of_o the_o 5_o of_o august_n 1698_o to_o his_o majesty_n think_v fit_a to_o manifest_v their_o own_o and_o the_o whole_a nation_n concern_v in_o that_o matter_n earnest_o entreat_v and_o most_o assure_o expect_v that_o his_o majesty_n will_v in_o his_o royal_a wisdom_n take_v such_o measure_n as_o may_v effectual_o address_n recommend_v the_o concern_v of_o the_o say_a company_n to_o some_o special_a mark_n of_o his_o majesty_n royal_a favour_n as_o that_o branch_n of_o the_o trade_n of_o this_o kingdom_n in_o which_o they_o and_o the_o nation_n they_o represent_v have_v a_o more_o peculiar_a interest_n the_o court_n of_o director_n of_o our_o company_n be_v thereby_o encourage_v to_o renew_v their_o application_n to_o his_o majesty_n with_o relation_n to_o the_o memorial_n give_v in_o by_o his_o minister_n to_o the_o senate_n of_o hamburgh_n the_o same_o be_v special_o mention_v in_o the_o parliament_n address_v and_o in_o consideration_n of_o the_o damnage_n sustain_v by_o the_o company_n through_o mean_n of_o that_o memorial_n the_o director_n humble_o petition_v that_o his_o majesty_n will_v be_v please_v for_o their_o encouragement_n at_o that_o time_n as_o a_o gracious_a mark_n of_o his_o royal_a favour_n to_o bestow_v upon_o they_o the_o two_o small_a of_o the_o frigate_n than_o and_o to_o this_o hour_n lie_v useless_a in_o bruntisland_n harbour_n but_o our_o company_n have_v no_o manner_n of_o answer_n to_o either_o of_o these_o and_o be_v assure_v by_o several_a letter_n from_o hamburgh_n that_o both_o the_o english_a minister_n there_o have_v positive_o deny_v their_o have_v receive_v any_o such_o order_n as_o be_v long_o before_o promise_v and_o declare_v to_o have_v be_v give_v with_o relation_n to_o that_o memorial_n the_o court_n of_o director_n of_o our_o company_n do_v by_o their_o letter_n of_o the_o 29_o of_o november_n 1698_o transmit_v copy_n of_o the_o say_a letter_n to_o the_o viscount_n of_o seafield_n then_o sole_a secretary_n of_o state_n and_o entreat_v his_o lordship_n to_o procure_v some_o speedy_a and_o effectual_a answer_n from_o his_o majesty_n to_o the_o content_n of_o both_o that_o letter_n and_o their_o former_a petition_n the_o secretary_n by_o his_o letter_n of_o the_o 13_o of_o december_n 1698_o return_v for_o answer_n that_o he_o will_v take_v the_o first_o convenient_a opportunity_n he_o can_v have_v to_o represent_v that_o matter_n to_o the_o king_n but_o that_o he_o can_v not_o expect_v to_o have_v it_o for_o some_o time_n because_o his_o majesty_n be_v then_o very_o much_o employ_v in_o the_o affair_n of_o his_o english_a parliament_n we_o thereupon_o wait_v a_o full_a month_n in_o expectation_n of_o some_o further_a answer_n but_o get_v none_o our_o court_n of_o director_n do_v by_o a_o letter_n of_o the_o 13_o of_o january_n 1699_o put_v the_o secretary_n again_o in_o mind_n of_o our_o say_a petition_n of_o the_o precede_a august_n and_o letter_n of_o the_o 29_o of_o november_n the_o secretary_n by_o his_o letter_n of_o the_o seven_o of_o february_n 1699_o signify_v that_o he_o have_v present_v our_o company_n be_v petition_n to_o his_o majesty_n and_o be_v command_v to_o let_v we_o know_v that_o there_o be_v account_n that_o the_o ship_n belong_v to_o the_o company_n be_v arrive_v upon_o the_o coast_n of_o america_n and_o the_o particular_a design_n not_o be_v communicate_v to_o his_o majesty_n he_o therefore_o delay_v to_o give_v any_o answer_n until_o he_o shall_v receive_v certain_a information_n of_o their_o settlement_n though_o we_o can_v not_o but_o be_v surprise_v to_o find_v all_o our_o former_a address_n and_o petition_n about_o matter_n of_o such_o weighty_a concern_v as_o be_v above-narrated_n answer_v after_o so_o long_a delay_n only_o with_o a_o seem_a charge_n for_o not_o have_v communicate_v to_o his_o majesty_n a_o
