think_v madam_n i_o discern_v two_o great_a error_n in_o the_o world_n 1._o the_o judgement_n of_o truth_n 2._o of_o the_o love_n and_o hatred_n of_o god_n from_o motion_n and_o issue_n of_o their_o hear_n so_o as_o they_o be_v external_o call_v to_o repent_v and_o to_o believe_v man_n conclude_v there_o be_v no_o election_n of_o person_n that_o christ_n have_v die_v for_o all_o and_o every_o man_n that_o every_o man_n have_v a_o power_n to_o repent_v believe_v love_n god_n hate_v sin_n etc._n etc._n and_o i_o wish_v a_o modest_a denial_n of_o divine_a truth_n be_v the_o worst_a but_o we_o be_v fall_v into_o a_o rude_a and_o ill_o manner_a age_n when_o every_o puny_a have_v boldness_n enough_o to_o say_v if_o this_o be_v so_o then_o god_n be_v a_o impostor_n and_o mock_n and_o delude_v he_o be_v unjust_a cruel_a i_o tremble_v to_o recite_v it_o when-as_a the_o truth_n be_v it_o be_v neither_o so_o nor_o so_o let_v what_o will_v be_v conclude_v concern_v these_o proposition_n no_o such_o thing_n will_v follow_v i_o have_v madam_n endeavour_v to_o reconcile_v these_o providence_n of_o god_n to_o the_o truth_n of_o these_o proposition_n which_o some_o invidious_o charge_n with_o such_o consequence_n and_o to_o let_v these_o bold_a man_n understand_v that_o god_n be_v equal_a his_o way_n equal_a and_o admirable_o correspond_v with_o those_o notion_n further_o yet_o to_o show_v you_o the_o reasonableness_n of_o the_o variety_n of_o providence_n in_o the_o manner_n of_o convert_v and_o bring_v home_o of_o soul_n unto_o himself_o i_o note_v it_o more_o tenacious_a of_o grief_n and_o sorrow_n if_o by_o the_o work_n the_o natural_a work_n of_o these_o passion_n to_o which_o their_o natural_a complexion_n and_o constitution_n more_o full_o subject_v they_o if_o they_o be_v long_o under_o the_o spirit_n of_o bondage_n than_o other_o you_o will_v see_v at_o the_o same_o case_n with_o they_o in_o other_o thing_n exciting_a those_o passion_n and_o unless_o you_o will_v suppose_v that_o god_n in_o the_o conversion_n of_o such_o shall_v work_v miraculous_o and_o alter_v their_o natural_a complexion_n and_o constitution_n it_o be_v not_o reasonable_a to_o suppose_v that_o it_o shall_v be_v otherwise_o it_o be_v but_o according_a to_o the_o natural_a working_n of_o their_o spirit_n who_o can_v get_v off_o no_o occasion_n of_o sorrow_n and_o trouble_n so_o soon_o as_o other_o can_v who_o be_v of_o more_o airy_a &_o cheer_o constitution_n 2._o but_o a_o second_o reason_n of_o this_o variety_n may_v reasonable_o be_v weak_a as_o to_o their_o spiritual_a habit_n and_o exercise_n you_o think_v god_n may_v have_v more_o glory_n if_o they_o be_v strong_a and_o their_o habit_n be_v more_o confirm_v which_o be_v certain_o true_a as_o to_o the_o act_n of_o those_o particular_a person_n the_o more_o strong_a any_o one_o be_v in_o faith_n the_o more_o confirm_v he_o be_v in_o the_o habit_n of_o holiness_n the_o more_o undoubted_o that_o single_a person_n will_v glorify_v god_n but_o the_o government_n as_o of_o particular_a soul_n so_o of_o the_o whole_a church_n be_v upon_o christ_n shoulder_n and_o in_o the_o government_n of_o his_o providence_n he_o so_o administer_v the_o affair_n of_o particular_a soul_n as_o he_o may_v have_v the_o most_o glory_n from_o the_o whole_a beside_o god_n ordinary_o govern_v his_o people_n not_o by_o miraculous_a operation_n but_o by_o ordinary_a reasonable_a mean_n which_o two_o thing_n be_v suppose_v god_n infinite_a wisdom_n appear_v in_o the_o different_a of_o the_o whole_a body_n of_o his_o church_n which_o as_o the_o body_n natural_a have_v different_a member_n and_o those_o of_o different_a use_n and_o must_v be_v so_o dispose_v as_o shall_v render_v they_o most_o serviceable_a one_o to_o another_o and_o the_o whole_a most_o serviceable_a to_o the_o great_a design_n of_o god_n glory_n let_v we_o not_o therefore_o trouble_v ourselves_o in_o dispute_v the_o equity_n and_o reasonableness_n of_o divine_a providence_n in_o its_o motion_n for_o though_o we_o can_v by_o search_v find_v out_o the_o almighty_a unto_o perfection_n yet_o you_o see_v there_o be_v no_o such_o variety_n in_o god_n dispensation_n of_o this_o nature_n but_o a_o reasonable_a account_n may_v be_v give_v of_o it_o and_o as_o to_o these_o dispensation_n it_o perfection_n of_o spirituality_n and_o heavenly_a duty_n which_o god_n require_v of_o you_o but_o for_o the_o sake_n of_o those_o that_o be_v weak_a and_o because_o there_o be_v some_o piece_n of_o holiness_n which_o do_v more_o proper_o and_o immediate_o trend_a towards_o the_o reception_n of_o these_o gradual_a manifestation_n and_o the_o omission_n of_o which_o may_v in_o a_o more_o peculiar_a and_o special_a manner_n hinder_v the_o reception_n of_o they_o and_o provoke_v god_n to_o deny_v they_o let_v i_o open_v this_o general_n in_o some_o few_o particular_n 1._o first_o take_v of_o providence_n shall_v have_v a_o more_o distinct_a knowledge_n of_o the_o lovingkindness_n of_o god_n he_o shall_v not_o only_o know_v that_o god_n be_v good_a to_o israel_n and_o to_o all_o
