require_v that_o we_o take_v fit_a occasion_n to_o admonish_v as_o when_o our_o neighbour_n either_o by_o their_o word_n and_o speech_n or_o their_o action_n and_o behaviour_n do_v offer_v unto_o we_o that_o our_o admonition_n do_v not_o appear_v to_o have_v rise_v out_o of_o self-love_n and_o respect_n to_o our_o own_o particular_a but_o out_o of_o our_o love_n of_o they_o who_o we_o admonish_v for_o if_o this_o be_v but_o suspect_v it_o will_v never_o take_v any_o place_n because_o we_o seek_v not_o their_o good_a but_o our_o own_o and_o second_o that_o they_o proceed_v not_o from_o anger_n and_o choler_n which_o will_v make_v it_o seem_v a_o chide_n and_o brawl_v rather_o than_o a_o admonition_n and_o a_o action_n of_o rave_v rather_o than_o of_o love_n in_o which_o respect_n our_o admonition_n will_v be_v the_o more_o powerful_a when_o as_o they_o have_v no_o reference_n to_o ourselves_o either_o of_o profit_n or_o hurt_v but_o rather_o such_o as_o by_o the_o fault_n which_o we_o reproove_v accrue_v unto_o other_o again_o to_o show_v our_o love_n we_o be_v with_o the_o notice_n which_o we_o take_v of_o their_o fault_n to_o acknowledge_v their_o good_a part_n and_o to_o tedious_a and_o irksome_a and_o our_o admonition_n by_o their_o frequency_n unrespected_a and_o of_o no_o force_n five_o if_o the_o party_n we_o admonish_v be_v of_o stout_a spirit_n and_o be_v bold_a enough_o to_o bear_v it_o we_o may_v deal_v plain_o and_o particular_o with_o they_o for_o their_o sin_n but_o if_o they_o have_v tender_a forehead_n and_o be_v so_o ingenuous_o bashful_a that_o they_o be_v apt_a to_o be_v daunt_v and_o put_v out_o of_o countenance_n by_o our_o take_a notice_n of_o their_o fault_n it_o be_v christian_a wisdom_n to_o nourish_v this_o modesty_n and_o shamefastenesse_n see_v there_o be_v no_o great_a danger_n that_o such_o will_v be_v harden_v in_o their_o sin_n and_o to_o this_o end_n it_o be_v good_a to_o admonish_v they_o of_o their_o fault_n deal_v with_o our_o superior_n as_o nathan_n with_o david_n or_o such_o as_o will_v not_o by_o plain_a and_o direct_a deal_n be_v so_o easy_o convince_v of_o their_o sin_n again_o to_o cherish_v ingenuity_n and_o to_o preserve_v man_n from_o boldness_n and_o impudence_n it_o be_v not_o good_a in_o our_o admonition_n to_o press_v our_o reproof_n too_o far_o but_o to_o give_v they_o some_o little_a evasion_n that_o they_o may_v not_o turn_v
either_o from_o the_o cause_n which_o be_v efficient_a or_o final_a or_o from_o the_o subject_n and_o adjunct_n of_o our_o affliction_n and_o first_o in_o our_o meditation_n we_o be_v to_o consider_v that_o god_n himself_o be_v chief_a cause_n and_o principal_a author_n of_o all_o our_o affliction_n whatsoever_o be_v the_o mean_n and_o instrument_n the_o which_o may_v confirm_v our_o patience_n
