against_o sin_n the_o lord_n of_o lord_n the_o king_n of_o king_n 19_o the_o brightness_n of_o god_n glory_n the_o son_n of_o god_n the_o darling_n of_o his_o father_n in_o who_o he_o be_v well_o please_v hang_v between_o two_o thief_n cry_v for_o thou_o &_o i_o and_o for_o we_o all_o my_o god_n my_o god_n why_o have_v thou_o forsake_v i_o oh_o hard_a heart_n that_o we_o have_v which_o make_v this_o and_o prayer_n cease_v not_o till_o thou_o fecle_fw-mi some_o hearty_a sorrow_n for_o thy_o sin_v the_o which_o when_o thou_o feel_v then_o labour_v for_o the_o other_o part_n that_o be_v faith_n on_o this_o sort_n as_o first_o in_o contrition_n i_o will_v she_o not_o to_o trust_v to_o thy_o free_a will_n for_o the_o assayn_n of_o it_o so_o do_v i_o caleb_n will_v thou_o in_o this_o faith_n be_v so_o far_o from_o the_o reach_n of_o man_n free_a will_n that_o to_o reason_v it_o be_v plain_a foolishness_n therefore_o thou_o must_v first_o go_v 14._o to_o god_n who_o gift_n it_o be_v thou_o must_v i_o say_v get_v thou_o to_o the_o father_n of_o mercy_n who_o work_n it_o be_v that_o as_o he_o have_v bring_v thou_o down_o by_o contrition_n and_o humble_v thou_o so_o he_o will_v geve_v thou_o faith_n raise_v thou_o up_o and_o exalt_v thou_o on_o this_o manner_n therefore_o with_o 15._o the_o apostle_n and_o the_o poor_a man_n in_o the_o gospel_n that_o cry_v lord_n increase_v our_o faith_n lord_n help_v my_o unbelief_n pray_v thou_o and_o say_v oh_o merciful_a god_n and_o dear_a father_n of_o our_o lord_n and_o saviour_n jesus_n christ_n in_o who_o as_o thou_o be_v well_o grant_v we_o that_o which_o in_o his_o name_n we_o shall_v ask_v of_o there_o lo_o gracious_a father_n i_o be_o bold_a to_o beg_v of_o thy_o mercy_n through_o thy_o son_n jesus_n christ_n one_o sparkle_v of_o true_a faith_n and_o certain_a persuasion_n of_o thy_o goodness_n &_o love_n towards_o i_o in_o christ_n wherethrough_o i_o be_v assure_v of_o the_o pardon_n of_o all_o my_o sin_n by_o the_o mercy_n of_o christ_n thy_o son_n may_v be_v thankful_a to_o thou_o love_v thou_o and_o serve_v thou_o in_o holiness_n and_o righteousness_n all_o the_o day_n of_o my_o light_v on_o this_o thou_o first_o of_o all_o &_o look_v for_o thy_o request_n at_o god_n hand_n without_o any_o doubt_n though_o forthwith_o thou_o feel_v not_o the_o same_o for_o oftentimes_o we_o have_v thing_n of_o god_n give_v we_o long_o before_o we_o feel_v they_o as_o we_o will_v do_v now_o unto_o this_o prayer_n use_v thou_o these_o mean_n follow_v after_o prayer_n for_o faith_n which_o i_o will_v shall_v be_v first_o second_o because_o the_o same_o spring_v out_o of_o the_o hear_n not_o of_o mass_n matin_n cannon_n counsel_n docttor_n decree_n but_o out_o of_o the_o hear_n of_o god_n word_n get_v thou_o god_n word_n but_o not_o that_o part_n which_o serve_v special_o to_o contrition_n that_o be_v the_o law_n but_o you_o other_o part_n which_o serve_v special_o to_o consolation_n and_o certain_a persuasion_n of_o god_n love_n towards_o thou_o that_o be_v the_o gospel_n or_o publication_n of_o god_n mercy_n in_o christ_n i_o mean_v the_o free_a promise_n but_o here_o thou_o must_v know_v that_o there_o be_v two_o kind_n of_o promise_n one_o which_o be_v property_n of_o the_o law_n a_o other_o which_o be_v proper_o of_o the_o gospel_n in_o the_o promise_n of_o the_o law_n we_o may_v in_o deed_n behold_v god_n mercy_n but_o so_o that_o it_o hang_v upon_o the_o condition_n rfour_fw-fr worthiness_n as_o if_o thou_o love_v the_o lord_n with_o all_o thy_o heart_n etc_n etc_n thou_o shall_v find_v mercy_n this_o kind_n of_o promise_n though_o it_o declare_v unto_o we_o god_n love_n which_o promise_v where_o he_o need_v not_o yet_o unto_o he_o that_o feel_v not_o christ_n which_o be_v the_o end_n of_o the_o law_n they_o be_v so_o far_o from_o comfort_v that_o utter_o with_o the_o law_n they_o bring_v man_n to_o great_a despair_n so_o great_o we_o be_v corrupt_v for_o none_o so_o love_v god_n as_o he_o ought_v to_o do_v from_o these_o therefore_o get_v thou_o to_o the_o other_o promise_n of_o the_o gospel_n in_o which_o we_o may_v see_v such_o plenty_n and_o frank_a lideralitie_n of_o god_n goodness_n that_o we_o can_v but_o be_v much_o comfort_v though_o we_o have_v very_o deep_o sin_v for_o these_o promise_n of_o the_o gospel_n do_v not_o hang_v on_o the_o condition_n of_o our_o worthiness_n as_o the_o promise_n of_o the_o law_n do_v but_o they_o depend_v and_o hang_v on_o god_n truth_n that_o as_o god_n be_v true_a so_o they_o can_v but_o be_v perform_v to_o all_o they_o which_o lie_v hold_v on_o they_o by_o faith_n i_o have_v almost_o say_v which_o cast_v they_o not_o away_o by_o unbelief_n mark_v in_o they_o therefore_o two_o thing_n namely_o that_o as_o well_o they_o be_v free_a promise_n without_o any_o condition_n of_o our_o worthiness_n as_o also_o that_o they_o be_v universal_a offer_v to_o all_o all_o i_o say_v which_o be_v not_o so_o stubborn_a as_o to_o keep_v still_o their_o hand_n whereby_o they_o shall_v receive_v this_o alm_n in_o their_o bosom_n â—_o by_o unbelief_n as_o concern_v infant_n and_o child_n you_o know_v i_o now_o speak_v not_o but_o concern_v such_o as_o be_v of_o year_n of_o discretiou_n and_o now_o you_o look_v that_o i_o shall_v geve_v you_o a_o fast_o of_o these_o promise_n which_o be_v both_o free_a &_o universal_a except_v none_o but_o such_o as_o excepe_v themselves_o well_o you_o shall_v have_v one_o or_o two_o for_o a_o say_v in_o the_o three_o of_o john_n say_v our_o 2d_o
