precious_a blood_n of_o christ_n as_o of_o a_o lamb_n without_o blemish_n and_o without_o spot_n you_o will_v say_v what_o comfort_n be_v it_o to_o i_o in_o the_o midst_n of_o my_o spot_n that_o jesus_n christ_n my_o saviour_n have_v no_o spot_n what_o this_o be_v comfort_n because_o god_n look_v upon_o thou_o not_o as_o thou_o be_v in_o thyself_o but_o in_o his_o son_n and_o reckon_v thou_o spot_v now_o yet_o the_o time_n be_v come_v when_o thou_o shall_v be_v deliver_v from_o all_o these_o spot_n in_o regard_n of_o thy_o sanctification_n say_v the_o apostle_n there_o christ_n love_v his_o church_n and_o give_v himself_o for_o it_o that_o he_o may_v sanctify_v and_o cleanse_v it_o with_o the_o wash_n of_o water_n by_o the_o word_n that_o be_v may_v present_v it_o to_o himself_o and_o nothing_o but_o spot_n in_o every_o thing_n what_o can_v uphold_v it_o here_o from_o sink_v it_o may_v be_v that_o that_o uphold_v you_o be_v this_o we_o have_v all_o our_o sin_n and_o we_o be_v all_o sinner_n if_o there_o be_v nothing_o else_o to_o uphold_v a_o gracious_a heart_n but_o that_o it_o can_v noâ—_n but_o sink_n even_o in_o despair_n notwithstanding_o thate_v but_o now_o these_o three_o thing_n uphold_v a_o gracious_a heart_n i_o have_v my_o spot_n indeed_o and_o be_o defile_v woe_n to_o i_o for_o the_o defilement_n of_o mâ—soul_n my_o life_n this_o be_v indeed_o the_o burden_n that_o i_o have_v in_o this_o world_n the_o great_a affliction_n that_o be_v upon_o i_o that_o my_o soul_n be_v so_o defile_v o_o but_o bless_v be_v god_n i_o have_v to_o deal_v with_o god_n have_v many_o spot_n yet_o bless_a be_v god_n he_o have_v reveal_v that_o justification_n be_v perfect_a in_o this_o life_n that_o the_o lord_n through_o the_o righteousness_n of_o his_o son_n look_v upon_o i_o as_o without_o spot_n that_o be_v will_v not_o lay_v any_o of_o these_o spot_n to_o my_o charge_n yea_o and_o further_o this_o be_v the_o comfort_n of_o my_o soul_n that_o though_o i_o have_v many_o spot_n now_o yet_o there_o be_v a_o way_n reveal_v to_o cleanse_v my_o soul_n from_o all_o spot_n through_o the_o blood_n of_o christ_n and_o through_o the_o word_n of_o god_n to_o cleanse_v and_o wash_v i_o yea_o i_o find_v in_o the_o word_n that_o jesus_n christ_n have_v such_o a_o desire_n to_o cleanse_v my_o soul_n from_o spot_n as_o he_o give_v himself_o to_o that_o very_a end_n and_o there_o be_v a_o time_n when_o all_o these_o spot_n must_v be_v wash_v away_o and_o when_o this_o defile_v pollute_a soul_n of_o i_o shall_v be_v before_o the_o lord_n and_o his_o christ_n and_o live_v for_o ever_o with_o they_o without_o any_o spot_n oâ—_n wrinkle_n or_o any_o defilement_n whatsoever_o but_o shall_v be_v make_v full_o perfect_a in_o my_o sanctification_n as_o now_o i_o be_o in_o my_o justification_n and_o it_o be_v this_o that_o uphold_v my_o soul_n that_o be_v somewhat_o indeed_o that_o in_o this_o life_n of_o thou_o wherein_o there_o be_v so_o much_o corruption_n if_o thy_o soul_n be_v uphold_v from_o sink_v with_o such_o consideration_n as_o these_o be_v sure_o thou_o be_v go_v beyond_o a_o carnal_a heart_n and_o i_o may_v even_o faith_n that_o thy_o spot_n be_v the_o spot_n of_o god_n child_n from_o this_o and_o not_o the_o spot_n of_o the_o wicked_a and_o ungodly_a remember_v that_o one_o expression_n in_o ephes_n 5._o which_o be_v very_o remarkable_a and_o of_o great_a use_n christ_n pve_v we_o and_o give_v himself_o that_o he_o may_v sanctify_v and_o wash_v we_o and_o the_o like_a mark_v it_o be_v make_v the_o great_a fruit_n of_o the_o love_n of_o jesus_n christ_n to_o sanctify_v a_o soul_n therefore_o it_o be_v matter_n of_o great_a consequence_n for_o christ_n show_v his_o love_n in_o a_o special_a manner_n in_o sanctify_v and_o cleanse_v the_o soul_n this_o be_v from_o the_o peculiar_a and_o elect_v love_n of_o god_n and_o it_o show_v when_o christ_n come_v to_o cleanse_v the_o soul_n from_o spot_n and_o defilement_n that_o he_o have_v love_v from_o all_o eternity_n that_o foul_a but_o on_o the_o contrary_a if_o the_o lord_n do_v let_v thou_o lie_v in_o the_o filth_n of_o thy_o sin_n it_o be_v a_o argument_n that_o he_o never_o set_v his_o heart_n upon_o thou_o as_o for_o instance_n suppose_v a_o man_n be_v ride_v on_o the_o high_a way_n and_o see_v a_o child_n there_o lie_v all_o in_o the_o filth_n ready_a to_o be_v choke_v with_o the_o dirt_n and_o mire_n and_o to_o perish_v there_o well_o as_o he_o be_v ride_v by_o he_o look_v upon_o the_o child_n and_o see_v it_o ready_a to_o perish_v and_o when_o he_o have_v look_v upon_o it_o away_o he_o go_v and_o leave_v it_o there_o will_v not_o every_o one_o say_v certain_o this_o be_v not_o the_o father_n of_o the_o child_n that_o ride_v so_o away_o but_o now_o if_o the_o father_n or_o mother_n shall_v come_v by_o and_o see_v the_o child_n the_o mother_n will_v screek_n out_o o_o my_o child_n and_o snatch_v it_o up_o and_o carry_v it_o away_o and_o get_v water_n and_o wash_v it_o and_o so_o cleanse_v the_o child_n and_o herein_o do_v the_o mother_n or_o father_n show_v their_o love_n they_o have_v to_o the_o child_n thus_o it_o be_v for_o all_o the_o world_n in_o the_o love_n of_o christ_n christ_n he_o see_v all_o your_o filthiness_n and_o pollution_n he_o see_v
man_n and_o woman_n wallow_v up_o and_o down_o in_o the_o dirt_n christ_n look_v upon_o they_o and_o go_v by_o leave_v they_o still_o and_o let_v they_o wallow_v in_o their_o corruption_n more_o and_o more_o and_o pass_v by_o sure_o the_o heart_n of_o christ_n be_v not_o much_o towards_o they_o there_o be_v little_a relation_n that_o christ_n or_o god_n have_v to_o such_o as_o these_o be_v but_o now_o when_o as_o there_o be_v one_o that_o belong_v to_o jesus_n christ_n and_o that_o christ_n have_v set_v his_o love_n upon_o from_o eternity_n christ_n see_v such_o a_o one_o wallow_v in_o the_o filth_n of_o sin_n o_o the_o very_a bowel_n of_o christ_n do_v earn_v o_o christ_n take_v they_o and_o with_o his_o own_o blood_n cleanse_v they_o and_o will_v never_o leave_v wash_v and_o cleanse_v of_o the_o soul_n till_o he_o have_v cleanse_v it_o from_o all_o its_o spot_n and_o present_v it_o before_o the_o father_n and_o mark_v in_o the_o second_o place_n christ_n love_v we_o and_o this_o be_v a_o fruit_n of_o christ_n love_n to_o cleanse_v we_o from_o our_o spot_n and_o then_o he_o give_v himself_o that_o he_o may_v cleanse_v we_o perhaps_o you_o think_v it_o be_v of_o little_a moment_n to_o be_v cleanse_v from_o the_o filth_n of_o your_o sin_n but_o christ_n account_v it_o such_o a_o matter_n that_o he_o will_v give_v his_o life_n for_o it_o i_o account_v the_o cleanse_n of_o these_o soul_n from_o the_o filth_n of_o their_o sin_n worth_a my_o life_n i_o will_v give_v my_o life_n for_o it_o so_o that_o it_o cost_v more_o than_o ten_o thousand_o world_n to_o cleanse_v a_o soul_n from_o the_o filth_n of_o its_o sin_n as_o well_o as_o from_o the_o guilt_n i_o beseech_v you_o consider_v of_o this_o that_o the_o cleanse_n of_o a_o soul_n from_o the_o silth_n of_o sin_n do_v cost_n christ_n that_o which_o be_v more_o worth_a than_o ten_o thousand_o world_n but_o o_o how_o many_o be_v there_o that_o can_v wallow_v in_o sin_n and_o take_v delight_n in_o it_o but_o i_o say_v it_o be_v of_o so_o great_a consequence_n to_o be_v cleanse_v from_o sin_n as_o christ_n be_v content_a to_o give_v his_o very_a life_n to_o cleanse_v his_o church_n from_o sin_n now_o if_o thy_o heart_n be_v thus_o that_o thou_o account_v the_o love_n of_o christ_n to_o consist_v in_o this_o and_o that_o thou_o can_v prize_v christ_n upon_o this_o that_o he_o give_v himself_o to_o the_o end_n that_o he_o may_v cleanse_v thy_o soul_n from_o the_o sin_n sure_o thou_o do_v prize_n cleanse_v from_o sin_n indeed_o and_o if_o thou_o do_v prize_v it_o at_o so_o high_a a_o rate_n this_o be_v a_o good_a argument_n that_o thou_o be_v one_o of_o god_n child_n therefore_o daily_o exercise_v thy_o faith_n upon_o this_o christ_n by_o the_o apply_v of_o the_o blood_n of_o jesus_n christ_n to_o thy_o soul_n and_o the_o renew_n of_o the_o work_n of_o thy_o repentance_n see_v as_o long_o as_o thou_o live_v their_o will_n be_v spot_n the_o second_o sermon_n july_n the_o 20_o 1645._o 3._o leprosy_n or_o no._n and_o it_o be_v a_o special_a work_n of_o the_o minister_n of_o the_o gospel_n to_o show_v the_o difference_n of_o spot_n between_o the_o spot_n of_o the_o wicked_a and_o the_o spot_n of_o the_o child_n of_o god_n and_o here_o indeed_o do_v consist_v the_o spiritualness_n of_o their_o ministry_n and_o a_o great_a deal_n of_o efficacy_n of_o it_o be_v in_o this_o thing_n and_o without_o this_o our_o ministry_n be_v like_a to_o do_v little_a good_a and_o therefore_o though_o i_o have_v thought_n of_o some_o other_o thing_n yet_o i_o think_v always_o except_o there_o be_v something_o lay_v down_o about_o this_o i_o may_v preach_v many_o argument_n open_v many_o point_n of_o religion_n to_o you_o and_o the_o want_n of_o the_o knowledge_n of_o this_o may_v hinder_v that_o that_o be_v the_o work_n that_o god_n look_v for_o from_o his_o minister_n and_o indeed_o it_o be_v the_o work_n of_o a_o soul_n save_v ministry_n to_o separate_v between_o the_o precious_a and_o the_o vile_a and_o then_o indeed_o when_o they_o speak_v they_o be_v as_o the_o mouth_n of_o god_n to_o a_o people_n god_n make_v man_n in_o this_o point_n to_o be_v as_o his_o mouth_n for_o it_o be_v a_o point_n that_o do_v separate_v between_o the_o precious_a and_o the_o vile_a therefore_o as_o moses_n say_v of_o the_o whole_a soâ—g_n in_o the_o 46_o v_o of_o this_o chap._n set_v
