to_o be_v teach_v but_o if_o love_n do_v not_o follow_v knowledge_n and_o accompany_v it_o nothing_o be_v gain_v and_o such_o be_v the_o consideration_n of_o god_n and_o of_o his_o nature_n and_o of_o learning_n desire_v always_o to_o know_v more_o &_o more_o and_o yet_o never_o rest_v or_o be_v content_v therewithal_o and_o the_o more_o or_o high_a thing_n that_o it_o know_v the_o great_a occasion_n it_o take_v of_o joy_n and_o boast_n and_o when_o it_o be_v come_v to_o so_o great_a height_n that_o it_o suppose_v itself_o to_o know_v all_o thing_n and_o more_o than_o all_o then_o be_v it_o in_o the_o high_a pleasure_n and_o triumph_v account_v of_o that_o knowledge_n as_o the_o most_o best_a &_o excellent_a thing_n and_o therefore_o it_o teach_v that_o knowledge_n and_o learning_n ought_v to_o be_v love_v as_o the_o most_o best_a and_o excellent_a thing_n and_o thus_o it_o come_v to_o pass_v that_o knowledge_n &_o learning_n be_v more_o esteem_v of_o then_o the_o thing_n itself_o which_o be_v know_v for_o the_o natural_a and_o false_a light_n do_v better_a love_n its_o knowledge_n and_o learning_n id_fw-la est_fw-la itself_o than_o that_o selfsame_a thing_n which_o be_v know_v as_o if_o it_o be_v possible_a that_o the_o same_o natural_a light_n can_v know_v god_n and_o the_o simple_a truth_n as_o it_o be_v in_o god_n and_o in_o truth_n yet_o notwithstanding_o it_o will_v not_o depart_v from_o its_o one_o property_n that_o be_v from_o itself_o and_o its_o own_o after_o this_o manner_n be_v knowledge_n without_o the_o love_n of_o that_o which_o be_v know_v or_o have_v be_v know_v and_o thus_o it_o climb_v and_o creep_v to_o such_o a_o height_n that_o it_o suppose_v itself_o to_o know_v god_n and_o the_o true_a and_o simple_a truth_n and_o so_o it_o love_v itself_o in_o itself_o sure_o god_n be_v know_v of_o nothing_o but_o of_o god_n and_o because_o this_o light_n suppose_v that_o it_o know_v god_n it_o persuade_v itself_o also_o that_o it_o be_v god_n and_o boast_v itself_o as_o god_n and_o willing_a to_o be_v esteem_v god_n think_v itself_o worthy_a of_o all_o thing_n and_o to_o have_v right_a over_o all_o thing_n and_o that_o it_o have_v overcome_v and_o conquer_v all_o thing_n etc._n etc._n yea_o it_o scorn_v christ_n himself_o and_o the_o life_n of_o christ_n and_o all_o other_o thing_n for_o it_o will_v not_o be_v christ_n but_o god_n eternal_a the_o reason_n of_o this_o be_v because_o that_o christ_n and_o his_o life_n be_v contrary_a and_o burdensome_a to_o all_o nature_n and_o therefore_o nature_n can_v bear_v it_o but_o will_v be_v god_n for_o ever_o and_o not_o man_n yet_o will_v it_o willing_o be_v christ_n as_o he_o be_v now_o after_o his_o resurrection_n for_o all_o this_o be_v easy_a and_o pleasant_a and_o comfortable_a to_o nature_n therefore_o nature_n esteem_v it_o best_o because_o it_o seem_v best_a for_o herself_o some_o thing_n be_v know_v but_o yet_o not_o love_v of_o this_o false_a light_n and_o other_o thing_n and_o it_o do_v say_v that_o it_o be_v the_o best_a of_o all_o that_o every_o man_n shall_v seek_v do_v and_o will_v that_o which_o be_v best_a for_o himself_o it_o know_v none_o other_o good_a but_o its_o own_o and_o that_o which_o be_v best_a for_o itself_o as_o it_o suppose_v but_o if_o you_o speak_v unto_o it_o of_o the_o true_a and_o simple_a good_a which_o be_v neither_o which_o be_v the_o best_a of_o all_o thus_o it_o come_v to_o pass_v that_o it_o never_o either_o be_v amend_v or_o teach_v more_o than_o the_o devil_n himself_o observe_v also_o that_o this_o light_n do_v suppose_v itself_o to_o be_v god_n and_o arrogate_v the_o same_o to_o itself_o and_o herein_o it_o be_v lucifer_n the_o devil_n and_o whereas_o it_o do_v reject_v the_o life_n of_o christ_n and_o contrary_n to_o christ_n and_o even_o as_o this_o light_n be_v deceive_v by_o its_o own_o subtlety_n so_o likewise_o be_v all_o thing_n deceive_v by_o it_o which_o be_v neither_o god_n nor_o divine_a that_o be_v all_o man_n who_o be_v not_o illuminate_v with_o the_o true_a light_n and_o the_o love_n thereof_o for_o whosoever_o they_o be_v that_o be_v illuminate_v of_o the_o true_a light_n they_o be_v never_o deceive_v but_o whosoever_o have_v it_o not_o and_o yet_o be_v so_o affect_v as_o that_o he_o will_v walk_v with_o this_o false_a light_n and_o remain_v in_o it_o he_o be_v deceive_v and_o this_o come_v to_o pass_v because_o all_o man_n that_o be_v in_o the_o light_n which_o be_v not_o true_a be_v turn_v into_o themselves_o and_o do_v esteem_v themselves_o and_o that_o which_o when_o he_o come_v all_o that_o have_v not_o the_o seal_n of_o god_n shall_v follow_v he_o those_o which_o have_v it_o shall_v not_o follow_v he_o and_o that_o be_v the_o same_o light_n this_o be_v true_a indeed_o if_o any_o man_n can_v attain_v to_o that_o which_o be_v best_a for_o himself_o viz._n that_o which_o be_v best_a to_o god_n ward_n that_o be_v excellent_a but_o this_o be_v not_o do_v so_o long_o as_o man_n seek_v and_o love_v that_o which_o be_v best_a for_o himself_o for_o to_o the_o end_n he_o may_v find_v and_o obtain_v that_o which_o be_v best_a for_o himself_o it_o be_v necessary_a that_o he_o first_o lose_v that_o which_o be_o best_a for_o himself_o as_o have_v be_v already_o say_v but_o if_o a_o man_n be_v willing_a to_o forsake_v and_o lose_v that_o which_o be_v best_a for_o himself_o to_o the_o end_n he_o may_v find_v that_o which_o be_v best_a for_o himself_o this_o again_o be_v false_a therefore_o there_o be_v but_o few_o that_o can_v come_v into_o this_o way_n this_o false_a light_n that_o a_o man_n ought_v to_o be_v void_a of_o religion_n and_o that_o he_o be_v a_o fool_n and_o a_o block_n who_o make_v any_o account_n thereof_o and_o this_o it_o will_v prove_v from_o christ_n who_o be_v void_a of_o religion_n to_o the_o which_o answer_n be_v make_v that_o the_o devil_n be_v void_a also_o of_o religion_n yet_o he_o be_v no_o whit_n the_o better_a for_o be_v so_o understand_v therefore_o what_o religion_n be_v religion_n be_v when_o it_o be_v acknowledge_v that_o man_n be_v averse_a or_o divert_v from_o god_n by_o his_o own_o will_v be_v know_v by_o this_o because_o disobedience_n be_v sin_n itself_o but_o if_o man_n do_v return_v to_o true_a obedience_n all_o fault_n be_v correct_v amend_v and_o pardon_v but_o otherwise_o this_o can_v come_v to_o pass_v a_o matter_n worthy_a to_o be_v observe_v yea_o if_o the_o devil_n can_v come_v to_o true_a obedience_n he_o shall_v become_v a_o angel_n and_o all_o his_o sin_n and_o wickedness_n shall_v be_v correct_v &_o amend_v and_o at_o once_o forgive_v also_o if_o any_o angel_n can_v return_v to_o disobedience_n he_o shall_v present_o become_v a_o devil_n although_o he_o shall_v do_v no_o other_o thing_n if_o it_o can_v come_v to_o pass_v that_o any_o man_n may_v whole_o and_o absolute_o cast_v off_o himself_o so_o as_o that_o he_o live_v without_o all_o thing_n in_o unto_o himself_o which_o be_v either_o bad_a or_o good_a i_o answer_v no_o man_n ought_v to_o attribute_v any_o good_a unto_o himself_o for_o that_o be_v proper_a only_o to_o god_n and_o his_o goodness_n but_o that_o man_n have_v grace_n and_o eternal_a reward_n who_o be_v fit_v thereunto_o be_v apt_a and_o prepare_v to_o be_v the_o house_n and_o habitation_n of_o the_o eternal_a good_a and_o divinity_n so_o as_o it_o may_v exercise_v in_o he_o without_o hindrance_n the_o power_n will_n and_o work_v of_o itself_o but_o if_o man_n will_v exercise_v himself_o and_o attribute_v none_o saint_n paul_n speak_v when_o that_o which_o be_v perfect_a and_o entire_a be_v come_v than_o all_o division_n and_o imperfection_n shall_v be_v abolish_v which_o sentence_n of_o he_o be_v thus_o to_o yet_o these_o be_v all_o one_o essence_n in_o god_n neither_o can_v any_o of_o these_o be_v bring_v into_o action_n or_o exercise_n without_o the_o creature_n for_o in_o god_n there_o be_v nothing_o but_o essence_n and_o beginning_n not_o any_o action_n but_o when_o this_o one_o which_o notwithstanding_o be_v all_o these_o shall_v gain_v any_o creature_n unto_o itself_o and_o have_v power_n and_o for_o good_a therefore_o it_o be_v meet_v and_o right_a that_o it_o shall_v be_v most_o esteem_v and_o if_o there_o be_v any_o thing_n better_o than_o god_n that_o be_v and_o aught_o to_o be_v love_v for_o god_n therefore_o god_n do_v not_o love_v himself_o as_o himself_o but_o as_o good_a and_o if_o god_n know_v any_o thing_n better_o than_o god_n he_o will_v love_v that_o and_o not_o god_n have_v rather_o live_v sin_n remain_v or_o not_o to_o destroy_v sin_n by_o his_o death_n he_o will_v answer_v that_o he_o will_v rather_o die_v for_o the_o sin_n of_o one_o man_n be_v more_o grievous_a to_o god_n and_o trouble_v he_o more_o than_o the_o torment_n and_o death_n of_o god_n himself_o then_o if_o the_o sin_n of_o one_o man_n grieve_v he_o so_o much_o what_o grief_n shall_v not_o at_o all_o for_o by_o this_o mean_n at_o the_o length_n it_o do_v appear_v that_o man_n be_v not_o able_a to_o do_v this_o neither_o ought_v it_o to_o be_v attribute_v to_o he_o chap._n xxxvi_o that_o the_o life_n of_o christ_n be_v to_o be_v love_v for_o itself_o and_o not_o for_o reward_v therefore_o wheresoever_o such_o a_o kind_n of_o deify_v man_n shall_v be_v or_o be_v there_o also_o may_v be_v and_o be_v the_o best_a and_o excellent_a life_n and_o most_o acceptable_a unto_o god_n of_o any_o that_o ever_o be_v or_o shall_v be_v hereafter_o and_o out_o of_o the_o eternal_a love_n which_o love_v god_n as_o good_a and_o for_o good_a and_o do_v also_o love_v that_o in_o all_o thing_n which_o be_v best_a and_o most_o excellent_a only_o for_o good_a this_o true_a and_o worthy_a life_n be_v so_o much_o belove_v that_o it_o be_v never_o forsake_v of_o that_o man_n in_o who_o it_o be_v although_o he_o shall_v live_v even_o to_o the_o last_o day_n yea_o and_o further_o it_o be_v unpossible_a that_o it_o shall_v be_v forsake_v although_o that_o man_n shall_v die_v a_o thousand_o death_n and_o all_o evil_n shall_v befall_v he_o which_o can_v befall_v all_o creature_n he_o will_v i_o say_v be_v more_o willing_a to_o endure_v all_o these_o thing_n than_o forsake_v this_o excellent_a life_n although_o he_o can_v in_o exchange_n thereof_o obtain_v the_o life_n of_o a_o angel_n and_o here_o answer_n be_v make_v to_o the_o question_n where_o it_o be_v ask_v if_o a_o man_n by_o a_o christian_a life_n obtain_v nothing_o more_o nor_o can_v raise_v any_o other_o profit_n what_o need_n be_v there_o then_o that_o he_o shall_v do_v any_o thing_n this_o life_n be_v not_o follow_v to_o this_o end_n that_o thence_o profit_v aught_o to_o arise_v or_o any_o other_o thing_n be_v gain_v but_o only_o in_o the_o behalf_n of_o love_n and_o the_o excellency_n thereof_o also_o because_o it_o be_v dear_a and_o acceptable_a to_o god_n now_o if_o any_o man_n will_v say_v or_o think_v that_o he_o have_v get_v enough_o of_o it_o or_o that_o he_o may_v give_v it_o over_o this_o man_n do_v neither_o feel_v nor_o know_v it_o for_o where_o it_o be_v true_o find_v and_o feel_v it_o can_v never_o be_v forsake_v but_o he_o that_o have_v the_o life_n of_o christ_n to_o this_o end_n that_o thereby_o he_o may_v attain_v or_o deserve_v something_o this_o man_n have_v it_o as_o a_o hireling_n and_o not_o for_o love_n or_o rather_o he_o have_v it_o not_o at_o all_o he_o that_o have_v it_o not_o in_o love_n have_v it_o not_o and_o although_o he_o think_v he_o have_v it_o he_o be_v deceive_v christ_n have_v this_o life_n not_o for_o reward_v but_o for_o love_n and_o love_n make_v this_o life_n easy_a and_o not_o grievous_a cause_v it_o to_o pass_v away_o cheerfu_o and_o to_o be_v willing_o bear_v but_o he_o that_o do_v not_o keep_v it_o for_o love_n but_o suppose_v that_o he_o have_v it_o for_o reward_n to_o he_o it_o be_v most_o grievous_a and_o he_o desire_v to_o be_v soon_o rid_v of_o it_o and_o this_o be_v the_o property_n of_o every_o hireling_n to_o desire_v and_o wish_v a_o end_n of_o his_o labour_n whereas_o a_o true_a lover_n take_v neither_o pain_n time_n nor_o labour_n in_o ill_a part_n for_o this_o cause_n it_o be_v write_v to_o serve_v god_n and_o to_o live_v to_o he_o be_v easy_a to_o he_o that_o do_v it_o this_o indeed_o be_v true_a to_o he_o that_o do_v all_o thing_n in_o love_n but_o to_o he_o that_o do_v they_o for_o reward_n it_o be_v grievous_a the_o same_o be_v to_o be_v hold_v of_o all_o virtue_n and_o good_a deed_n and_o also_o of_o integrity_n equity_n and_o the_o like_a chap._n xxxvii_o that_o god_n be_v above_o all_o order_n it_o be_v say_v and_o it_o be_v true_a that_o god_n be_v above_o all_o custom_n measure_n and_o order_n and_z giveth_z custom_n order_n and_o measure_n to_o all_o thing_n which_o must_v be_v thus_o understand_v god_n be_v willing_a to_o have_v all_o these_o thing_n but_o notwithstanding_o he_o can_v have_v they_o in_o himself_o without_o the_o creature_n for_o in_o god_n without_o the_o creature_n there_o be_v neither_o order_n nor_o confusion_n rite_n nor_o ceremony_n for_o this_o cause_n his_o will_n be_v that_o these_o thing_n shall_v be_v and_o that_o they_o may_v and_o aught_o to_o be_v do_v for_o where_o word_n work_n or_o action_n be_v there_o be_v necessity_n that_o these_o shall_v be_v do_v either_o according_a to_o order_n custom_n measure_n or_o reason_n or_o without_o order_n now_o order_n and_o reason_n be_v better_o and_o more_o excellent_a than_o these_o thing_n which_o be_v contrary_a to_o they_o but_o now_o we_o must_v observe_v that_o there_o be_v four_o sort_n of_o man_n who_o do_v hold_v order_n ceremony_n and_o law_n some_o do_v it_o neither_o for_o god_n nor_o for_o any_o other_o cause_n but_o only_o by_o compulsion_n and_o these_o indeed_o do_v it_o as_o little_a as_o they_o can_v and_o that_o which_o they_o do_v be_v bitter_a and_o grievous_a to_o they_o 2._o other_o do_v it_o for_o reward_n these_o be_v they_o who_o know_v no_o other_o thing_n but_o the_o same_o and_o do_v that_o man_n may_v and_o aught_o to_o obtain_v and_o deserve_v the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n and_o eternal_a life_n after_o this_o manner_n and_o by_o no_o other_o mean_n and_o that_o he_o who_o perform_v the_o most_o of_o these_o thing_n be_v bless_v and_o he_o that_o do_v omit_v or_o neglect_v any_o of_o they_o be_v damn_v and_o belong_v to_o the_o devil_n and_o these_o man_n use_v great_a pain_n and_o diligence_n herein_o yet_o it_o be_v a_o bitter_a thing_n unto_o they_o 3._o the_o three_o sort_n be_v evil_a and_o false_a spirit_n who_o think_v and_o say_v that_o they_o be_v perfect_a and_o that_o they_o stand_v in_o no_o need_n of_o these_o thing_n and_o therefore_o hold_v they_o in_o scorn_n and_o derision_n 4._o the_o four_o sort_n be_v such_o who_o be_v fill_v with_o a_o true_a light_n and_o do_v not_o these_o thing_n for_o reward_n for_o they_o desire_v not_o to_o obtain_v any_o thing_n by_o they_o or_o to_o attain_v any_o thing_n by_o their_o help_n but_o whatsoever_o thing_n they_o perform_v concern_v these_o they_o do_v it_o out_o of_o love_n and_o these_o man_n be_v not_o so_o careful_a how_o many_o of_o these_o thing_n or_o how_o soon_o they_o do_v these_o or_o the_o like_a thing_n but_o how_o well_o and_o that_o they_o may_v be_v do_v in_o peace_n and_o
natural_a life_n where_o there_o be_v a_o crafty_a nimble_a and_o uncertain_a nature_n be_v so_o manifold_a and_o intricate_a that_o it_o always_o seek_v and_o find_v many_o corner_n of_o falsehood_n deceit_n and_o that_o only_a for_o itself_o so_o as_o that_o it_o can_v be_v express_v or_o write_v see_v then_o falsehood_n be_v deceive_v and_o every_o deceit_n do_v first_o deceive_v itself_o it_o follow_v that_o the_o same_o thing_n must_v befall_v this_o false_a light_n and_o love_n for_o he_o that_o deceive_v be_v false_a himself_o as_o be_v elsewhere_o say_v and_o whatsoever_o be_v proper_a to_o the_o devil_n and_o belong_v to_o he_o be_v likewise_o in_o this_o life_n and_o light_n and_o in_o the_o love_n thereof_o in_o so_o much_o that_o there_o be_v no_o difference_n between_o they_o and_o therefore_o that_o false_a light_n be_v the_o devil_n and_o the_o devil_n be_v the_o selfsame_a light_n this_o may_v hence_o appear_v even_o as_o the_o devil_n do_v suppose_v himself_o to_o be_v god_n and_o at_o least_o will_v willing_o be_v account_v god_n or_o esteem_v as_o god_n and_o be_v in_o all_o this_o deceive_v yea_o so_o far_o deceive_v that_o he_o think_v he_o be_v not_o deceive_v so_o it_o come_v to_o pass_v likewise_o in_o the_o false_a light_n &_o in_o the_o love_n and_o life_n thereof_o and_o as_o the_o devil_n will_v willing_o deceive_v all_o man_n and_o draw_v they_o to_o he_o and_o to_o his_o property_n make_v they_o like_o to_o himself_o and_o use_v many_o art_n and_o device_n to_o that_o end_n so_o the_o same_o come_v to_o pass_v likewise_o in_o this_o light_n and_o as_o no_o man_n can_v thrust_v the_o devil_n out_o of_o his_o possession_n even_o so_o the_o like_a befall_v here_o all_o this_o proceed_v hence_o that_o the_o devil_n and_o nature_n both_o imagine_v and_o persuade_v themselves_o that_o they_o be_v not_o deceive_v but_o rather_o that_o they_o be_v in_o very_o good_a estate_n which_o true_o be_v the_o worst_a and_o most_o hurtful_a error_n that_o can_v be_v therefore_o the_o devil_n and_o nature_n be_v one_o and_o the_o same_o overcome_v nature_n and_o you_o overcome_v the_o devil_n and_o vanquish_v he_o and_o as_o long_o as_o nature_n be_v unconquered_a the_o devil_n be_v also_o unconquered_a whether_o this_o be_v refer_v to_o a_o worldly_a or_o spiritual_a life_n yet_o all_o this_o light_n remain_v false_a and_o erroneous_a be_v itself_o deceive_v and_o deceive_a other_o also_o if_o it_o can_v by_o that_o which_o be_v former_o say_v it_o may_v evident_o be_v understand_v and_o know_v that_o there_o be_v no_o difference_n when_o and_o where_o there_o be_v any_o speech_n make_v of_o adam_n disobedience_n the_o old_a man_n egoity_n every_o man_n own_o will_n lust_n appetite_n i_o i_o nature_n and_o false_a light_n the_o devil_n and_o sin_n all_o these_o be_v one_o and_o the_o same_o thing_n all_o this_o be_v against_o god_n and_o without_o god_n chap._n xlii_o that_o there_o be_v nothing_o contrary_a to_o god_n but_o man_n own_o will_n but_o if_o now_o any_o one_o ask_v whether_o there_o be_v any_o thing_n contrary_a to_o god_n and_o the_o true_a good_a i_o answer_v that_o there_o be_v nothing_o either_o contrary_a to_o god_n nor_o without_o god_n but_o only_o to_o will_v otherwise_o then_o the_o eternal_a will_n will_v if_o thou_o will_v any_o thing_n otherwise_o then_o the_o eternal_a will_n will_v that_o be_v contrary_a to_o the_o eternal_a will_n now_o the_o eternal_a will_n will_v and_o require_v that_o nothing_o shall_v be_v will_v or_o love_v but_o only_o the_o true_a good_a and_o if_o any_o thing_n be_v do_v otherwise_o that_o be_v contrary_a to_o it_o hence_o it_o be_v that_o this_o say_n be_v true_a that_o he_o who_o be_v not_o with_o god_n be_v against_o god_n but_o in_o very_a deed_n nothing_o be_v against_o god_n or_o the_o true_a good_a which_o be_v thus_o to_o be_v understand_v as_o if_o god_n have_v say_v he_o that_o will_v of_o himself_o without_o i_o or_o will_v not_o as_o i_o do_v or_o will_v otherwise_o then_o i_o do_v he_o will_v against_o i_o for_o my_o will_n be_v that_o no_o man_n shall_v will_v otherwise_o then_o i_o do_v or_o without_o i_o and_o there_o ought_v to_o be_v no_o will_n without_o my_o will_n as_o without_o i_o there_o be_v neither_o essence_n nor_o life_n neither_o this_o nor_o that_o so_o ought_v there_o also_o to_o be_v no_o will_n without_o i_o or_o without_o my_o will_n and_o true_o as_o all_o thing_n which_o be_v be_v indeed_o one_o and_o the_o same_o in_o true_a essence_n and_o every_o good_a be_v one_o good_a neither_o can_v any_o thing_n be_v without_o that_o one_o so_o also_o ought_v all_o will_n to_o be_v one_o will_n in_o one_o perfect_a will_n neither_o aught_o any_o will_n to_o be_v without_o this_o one_o when_o therefore_o it_o be_v otherwise_o it_o be_v just_a contrary_n to_o god_n and_o his_o will_n and_o therefore_o sin_n you_o see_v it_o have_v be_v former_o say_v that_o every_o will_n which_o be_v void_a of_o the_o will_n of_o god_n that_o be_v every_o proper_a will_n and_o whatsoever_o proceed_v from_o the_o self-will_n be_v sin_n so_o long_o as_o man_n seek_v his_o own_o good_a and_o that_o which_o be_v best_a for_o himself_o as_o his_o own_o to_o himself_o and_o as_o of_o himself_o he_o do_v never_o '_o find_v it_o for_o as_o long_o as_o this_o be_v do_v man_n seek_v not_o not_o that_o which_o be_v best_a for_o himself_o and_o therefore_o be_v far_o from_o find_v of_o it_o for_o so_o long_o as_o man_n be_v thus_o affect_v he_o seek_v himself_o and_o suppose_v himself_o to_o be_v the_o best_a and_o because_o man_n be_v not_o the_o best_a so_o long_o as_o he_o seek_v himself_o but_o in_o what_o man_n soever_o good_a be_v seek_v love_v and_o respect_v as_o good_a and_o for_o good_a and_o that_o none_o otherwise_o but_o only_o for_o the_o love_n of_o good_a not_o as_o from_o i_o i_o i_o to_o i_o or_o for_o i_o etc._n etc._n there_o it_o be_v find_v for_o that_o it_o be_v right_o seek_v where_o it_o be_v otherwise_o it_o be_v false_a and_o true_o by_o this_o mean_v the_o perfect_a good_a be_v seek_v and_o love_v and_o respect_v and_o therefore_o find_v it_o be_v a_o great_a folly_n in_o any_o man_n to_o think_v that_o he_o know_v or_o can_v do_v any_o thing_n of_o himself_o especial_o when_o he_o think_v that_o he_o know_v or_o can_v do_v any_o good_a whereby_o he_o may_v attain_v or_o deserve_v any_o great_a matter_n at_o god_n hand_n for_o hereby_o god_n be_v dishonour_v if_o you_o right_o understand_v it_o notwithstanding_o that_o true_a good_a do_v favour_n every_o simple_a and_o foolish_a man_n who_o know_v no_o better_a thing_n and_o do_v suffer_v the_o best_a thing_n to_o befall_v he_o as_o much_o as_o may_v be_v and_o sure_o god_n grant_v he_o as_o much_o good_a as_o he_o be_v able_a to_o receive_v but_o as_o it_o be_v former_o say_v he_o neither_o find_v nor_o obtain_v it_o so_o long_o as_o he_o be_v so_o affect_v for_o he_o must_v necessary_o forsake_v egoity_n whole_o otherwise_o he_o shall_v not_o find_v it_o nor_o obtain_v it_o chap._n xliii_o that_o where_o the_o life_n of_o christ_n be_v there_o be_v christ_n he_o that_o know_v and_o understand_v the_o life_n of_o christ_n know_v also_o and_o understand_v christ_n again_o he_o that_o know_v not_o the_o life_n of_o christ_n know_v not_o christ_n he_o that_o believe_v in_o christ_n believe_v that_o his_o life_n be_v most_o excellent_a and_o the_o best_a life_n he_o that_o believe_v not_o this_o neither_o do_v he_o believe_v in_o christ_n look_v how_o much_o of_o the_o life_n of_o christ_n be_v in_o any_o man_n so_o much_o of_o christ_n be_v in_o he_o also_o and_o how_o little_a there_o be_v of_o the_o one_o so_o little_a there_o be_v of_o the_o other_o for_o where_o the_o life_n of_o christ_n be_v there_o be_v christ_n and_o where_o his_o life_n be_v not_o neither_o be_v christ_n there_o wheresoever_o therefore_o the_o life_n of_o christ_n be_v or_o may_v be_v there_o that_o may_v be_v say_v to_o be_v which_o saint_n paul_n speak_v i_o live_v yet_o not_o i_o but_o christ_n that_o live_v in_o i_o and_o this_o be_v the_o best_a and_o most_o excellent_a life_n for_o wheresoever_o this_o life_n be_v there_o god_n himself_o be_v and_o live_v and_o likewise_o all_o good_a can_v there_o then_o be_v any_o better_a life_n than_o this_o observe_v this_o well_o whensoever_o you_o hear_v obedience_n speak_v of_o the_o new_a man_n the_o true_a light_n true_a love_n or_o the_o life_n of_o christ_n all_o these_o be_v one_o and_o the_o same_o and_o wheresoever_o one_o of_o these_o be_v abide_v they_o be_v all_o there_o likewise_o where_o one_o be_v want_v
none_o be_v present_a for_o they_o be_v all_o true_a and_o indeed_o one_o thing_n but_o if_o there_o be_v any_o such_o thing_n by_o the_o help_n whereof_o you_o may_v obtain_v that_o this_o may_v grow_v and_o live_v in_o man_n you_o ought_v to_o cleave_v unto_o it_o and_o to_o no_o other_o thing_n and_o whatsoever_o do_v hinder_v it_o that_o you_o ought_v to_o leave_v and_o forsake_v and_o and_o above_o all_o that_o be_v not_o god_n for_o god_n be_v one_o and_o all_o and_o above_o all_o whosoever_o therefore_o be_v content_a with_o god_n be_v content_a with_o one_o and_o he_o to_o who_o all_o thing_n be_v not_o one_o and_o one_o all_o thing_n and_o unto_o who_o something_a and_o nothing_o be_v not_o of_o like_a value_n and_o be_v one_o and_o the_o same_o he_o can_v be_v content_v show_v and_o approve_v himself_o holy_a conformable_a and_o obedient_a to_o god_n must_v necessary_o be_v conformable_a and_o obedient_a only_o in_o suffer_v and_o neither_o resist_n help_v nor_o defend_v himself_o he_o that_o do_v not_o so_o conform_v himself_o &_o become_v whole_o obedient_a both_o to_o man_n and_o all_o thing_n obey_v in_o one_o and_o as_o in_o one_o he_o be_v not_o conformable_a nor_o do_v obey_v god_n this_o we_o may_v see_v in_o christ_n to_o the_o end_n therefore_o that_o man_n may_v suffer_v god_n and_o have_v a_o will_v so_o to_o do_v it_o be_v necessary_a that_o he_o suffer_v all_o thing_n in_o one_o as_o in_o one_o and_o that_o he_o do_v not_o in_o any_o sort_n resist_v any_o thing_n that_o be_v contrary_a to_o he_o this_o christ_n also_o perform_v for_o all_o thing_n be_v true_o one_o and_o one_o be_v all_o in_o god_n chap._n xlv_o whether_o sin_n be_v to_o be_v love_v here_o arise_v a_o question_n since_o that_o all_o thing_n be_v to_o be_v love_v whether_o sin_n ought_v to_o be_v love_v i_o answer_v no_o for_o when_o all_o be_v mention_v that_o only_o be_v to_o be_v understand_v which_o be_v good_a and_o every_o thing_n be_v good_a in_o if_o there_o be_v any_o thing_n who_o essence_n be_v not_o in_o god_n that_o that_o thing_n be_v not_o good_a but_o to_o will_n or_o desire_v any_o thing_n which_o be_v against_o god_n be_v not_o in_o
