for_o all_o reach_v after_o the_o heart_n of_o god_n and_o after_o the_o centre_n of_o the_o joy_n kingdom_n 27._o now_o there_o lie_v a_o necessity_n upon_o the_o image_n to_o defend_v herself_o and_o not_o to_o let_v the_o earthly_a guest_n come_v in_o much_o less_o the_o fiery_a one_o and_o yet_o it_o be_v bear_v out_o of_o both_o as_o the_o life_n out_o of_o the_o fire_n and_o the_o wonder_n out_o of_o the_o external_a 28._o therefore_o it_o be_v much_o require_v of_o man_n that_o he_o lead_v a_o temperate_a sober_a life_n and_o not_o to_o be_v pamper_a too_o much_o with_o the_o three_o which_o fight_n about_o she_o as_o first_o the_o severe_a fiery_a life_n and_o then_o the_o divine_a life_n and_o three_o the_o earthly_a life_n thus_o the_o noble_a image_n stick_v in_o the_o midst_n and_o be_v draw_v by_o these_o three_o 30._o now_o it_o be_v needful_a for_o he_o that_o he_o hide_v himself_o with_o faith_n in_o the_o mystery_n of_o hope_n and_o let_v he_o stand_v still_o in_o that_o mystery_n 31._o where_o the_o devil_n in_o the_o inner_a fiery_a life_n still_o ride_v forth_o into_o the_o outer_a earthly_a life_n in_o pride_n covetousness_n and_o falsehood_n over_o the_o noble_a image_n and_o will_v bring_v she_o into_o the_o fire_n and_o anguish_n life_n and_o break_v she_o 32._o for_o he_o still_o suppose_v that_o the_o place_n of_o this_o world_n be_v his_o kingdom_n he_o will_v not_o endure_v any_o other_o image_n in_o it_o 33._o now_o fall_v the_o noble_a image_n into_o cross_n affliction_n into_o anguish_n and_o misery_n and_o here_o belong_v a_o strif_n thereto_o to_o fight_v about_o the_o noble_a garland_n of_o god_n kingdom_n 34._o hence_o arise_v prayer_n that_o the_o image_n go_v out_o continual_o out_o of_o the_o in-brought_a earthly_a be_v and_o out_o of_o the_o proud_a hellish_a abomination_n with_o pray_v and_o still_o enter_v into_o god_n life_n in_o his_o love_n 35._o thus_o the_o true_a image_n still_o mortify_v the_o earthly_a adam_n and_o also_o the_o hellish_a proud_a devil_n and_o must_v still_o stand_v like_o a_o warrior_n 36._o and_o the_o most_o useful_a thing_n for_o she_o be_v that_o she_o wrap_v herself_o up_o in_o patience_n and_o throw_v herself_o under_o the_o cross_n and_o still_o spring_v up_o in_o love_n 37._o for_o that_o love_n be_v her_o sword_n wherewith_o she_o strike_v at_o the_o devil_n and_o expele_v the_o earthly_a be_v she_o have_v never_o another_o sword_n wherewith_o to_o defend_v herself_o but_o only_o the_o meek_a water_n of_o eternal_a life_n which_o do_v not_o please_v the_o they_o must_v not_o look_v for_o good_a and_o jolly_a day_n in_o this_o world_n in_o worldly_a honour_n for_o affliction_n contempt_n and_o persecution_n will_v wait_v on_o they_o hourly_o 44._o he_o
