some_o measure_n even_o to_o encounter_v those_o which_o be_v promote_v to_o grandeur_n in_o prince_n court_n confucius_n be_v in_o the_o kingdom_n of_o guez_n and_o meet_v one_o day_n with_o a_o praefect_n which_o have_v great_a authority_n in_o this_o kingdom_n this_o minister_n puff_v up_o with_o the_o greatness_n of_o his_o fortune_n suppose_v that_o the_o philosopher_n design_v to_o procure_v some_o favour_n from_o the_o king_n demand_v of_o he_o by_o way_n of_o merriment_n the_o meaning_n o●_n this_o proverb_n so_o frequent_a in_o every_o one_o mouth_n it_o be_v better_a to_o plain_o tell_v he_o that_o he_o be_v whole_o differ_v from_o the_o maxim_n of_o the_o age_n that_o he_o will_v not_o address_v himself_o to_o he_o with_o any_o address_n he_o want_v to_o show_v he_o that_o he_o ought_v to_o do_v it_o and_o at_o the_o same_o time_n to_o advertise_v he_o that_o though_o he_o shall_v answer_v his_o question_n according_a to_o his_o desire_n he_o can_v reap_v no_o
