and_o to_o this_o word_n of_o his_o grace_n well_o then_o here_o the_o question_n will_v be_v how_o a_o soul_n may_v come_v to_o know_v whether_o or_o no_o he_o do_v thrive_v in_o this_o grace_n and_o here_o in_o the_o first_o place_n i_o may_v touch_v at_o that_o which_o be_v speak_v of_o both_o in_o the_o motive_n and_o in_o the_o mean_n 1._o a_o man_n may_v know_v it_o by_o his_o conscionable_a use_n of_o the_o mean_n and_o ordinance_n of_o grow_v if_o we_o will_v but_o measure_v unto_o god_n in_o sincerity_n in_o hear_v read_v pray_v and_o receive_v no_o doubt_n but_o god_n will_v measure_v unto_o we_o in_o the_o plenty_n of_o his_o blessing_n we_o need_v no_o more_o doubt_n whether_o our_o soul_n do_v grow_v in_o this_o grace_n if_o we_o can_v bring_v constant_a affection_n to_o the_o mean_n then_o we_o need_v whether_o the_o body_n of_o our_o child_n will_v grow_v if_o they_o have_v good_a nurse_n and_o do_v suck_v the_o breast_n well_o to_o this_o purpose_n tend_v such_o scripture_n as_o these_o isa_n 64_o 5_o thou_o meet_v he_o that_o rejoice_v and_o work_v righteousness_n those_o that_o remember_v thou_o in_o thy_o way_n those_o that_o remember_v thou_o in_o thy_o way_n what_o be_v that_o i.e._n in_o thy_o glorious_a dispensation_n we_o may_v refer_v it_o either_o to_o the_o dispensation_n of_o the_o rod_n or_o to_o the_o dispensation_n of_o the_o word_n thoâ—e_o that_o remember_v god_n in_o either_o of_o these_o way_n those_o that_o make_v a_o holy_a use_n of_o either_o they_o will_v god_n meet_v thou_o meet_v those_o that_o remember_v thou_o in_o according_a to_o the_o measure_n and_o degree_n that_o the_o sweetness_n of_o sin_n decay_v and_o abate_v in_o we_o do_v grace_n grow_v and_o thrive_v in_o we_o as_o there_o be_v no_o vacuum_n in_o nature_n so_o neither_o be_v there_o in_o grace_n as_o corruption_n increase_v so_o this_o grace_n of_o the_o fear_n of_o god_n increase_v 3._o we_o may_v know_v this_o likewise_o by_o our_o faith_n and_o confidence_n in_o god_n jer._n 17.7_o 8._o bless_a be_v the_o man_n that_o trust_v in_o the_o lord_n and_o who_o hope_n the_o lord_n be_v for_o he_o shall_v be_v as_o a_o tree_n plant_v by_o the_o water_n and_o that_o spread_v out_o her_o root_n by_o the_o river_n and_o shall_v not_o see_v when_o heat_n come_v but_o her_o leaf_n shall_v be_v green_a and_o shall_v not_o be_v careful_a in_o the_o year_n of_o drought_n neither_o shall_v cease_v from_o yield_a fruit_n q_o d._n he_o shall_v grow_v 4._o we_o may_v know_v it_o by_o our_o constancy_n and_o frequency_n in_o good_a work_n either_o of_o piety_n or_o mercy_n for_o say_v our_o saviour_n in_o this_o case_n matth._n 13.12_o whosoever_o have_v to_o he_o shall_v be_v give_v and_o he_o shall_v have_v abundance_n but_o whosoever_o have_v not_o from_o he_o shall_v be_v take_v away_o even_o that_o he_o have_v 5._o we_o may_v know_v this_o likewise_o by_o our_o frequency_n in_o communion_n with_o god_n by_o our_o delight_n in_o draw_v near_o to_o he_o this_o be_v the_o way_n to_o grow_v up_o to_o a_o holy_a temple_n in_o the_o lord_n and_o in_o the_o lord_n temple_n you_o may_v be_v sure_a all_o will_v prosper_v well_o i_o may_v enlarge_v upon_o these_o several_a symptom_n but_o the_o ordinary_a time_n be_v spend_v and_o therefore_o a_o word_n or_o two_o more_o and_o i_o have_v do_v in_o the_o six_o place_n we_o may_v try_v our_o growth_n in_o this_o grace_n by_o our_o humility_n look_v as_o we_o thrive_v in_o the_o one_o so_o do_v we_o thrive_v in_o the_o other_o god_n have_v promise_v not_o only_o to_o give_v grace_n but_o to_o give_v more_o grace_n to_o the_o humble_a jam._n 4.6_o but_o he_o give_v more_o grace_n or_o he_o give_v abundance_n of_o grace_n humble_a person_n shall_v not_o only_o have_v a_o be_v in_o grace_n but_o they_o shall_v receive_v increase_v of_o grace_n 7._o and_o then_o last_o of_o all_o we_o may_v know_v likewise_o whether_o we_o grow_v in_o this_o grace_n by_o our_o love_n and_o affection_n to_o the_o godly_a this_o love_n be_v the_o very_a bond_n of_o perfection_n col._n 3_o 14._o it_o be_v not_o only_o a_o mean_n of_o that_o true_a and_o perfect_a
