virtue_n and_o honesty_n must_v every_o day_n diminish_v as_o the_o temper_n grow_v uneasy_a and_o quarrel_n with_o it_o but_o if_o he_o oppose_v to_o this_o the_o consideration_n that_o honesty_n soever_o that_o go_v against_o that_o other_o principle_n take_v the_o place_n of_o the_o self-interesting_a passion_n and_o draw_v we_o as_o it_o be_v out_o of_o ourselves_o so_o as_o to_o make_v we_o disregardful_a of_o our_o own_o convenience_n and_o safety_n whatever_o be_v of_o this_o kind_n shall_v be_v abolish_v love_v to_o the_o young_a tenderness_n and_o pity_n abolish_v in_o short_a all_o natural_a affection_n shall_v thus_o be_v extinguish_v and_o root_v out_o as_o dangerous_a torment_v and_o destructive_a according_a to_o this_o it_o will_v seem_v to_o follow_v that_o in_o or_o self-injury_n be_v as_o the_o vice_n itself_o very_o slight_a and_o of_o little_a moment_n the_o natural_a affection_n separat_o consider_v as_o either_o pity_n or_o compassion_n love_v to_o the_o young_a and_o such_o like_a however_o excellent_a they_o be_v they_o may_v notwithstanding_o be_v in_o a_o too_o great_a and_o therefore_o vicious_a degree_n as_o when_o pity_n be_v so_o overcome_v as_o to_o destroy_v its_o own_o end_n and_o prevent_v the_o succour_n and_o relief_n require_v or_o as_o when_o love_n to_o the_o young_a be_v such_o a_o fondness_n as_o disable_v from_o not_o to_o shut_v of_o its_o own_o accord_n and_o unknowing_o to_o we_o by_o a_o natural_a caution_n and_o timidity_n which_o be_v it_o want_v however_o we_o may_v design_v the_o preservation_n of_o our_o eye_n we_o shall_v not_o preserve_v it_o by_o any_o observation_n or_o steady_a intention_n of_o our_o own_o ever_o so_o good_a towards_o the_o preserve_n it_o and_o thus_o though_o the_o
