all_o four_o as_o we_o use_v to_o say_v he_o do_v not_o fall_v quite_o there_o be_v degree_n of_o fall_v as_o in_o a_o sick_a man_n though_o he_o be_v ill_a yet_o he_o be_v not_o by_o and_o by_o dead_a some_o life_n remain_v still_o which_o will_v look_v out_o towards_o health_n again_o so_o there_o be_v so_o much_o life_n in_o justification_n as_o to_o recover_v thou_o again_o be_v of_o our_o conscience_n depend_v on_o obedience_n the_o place_n of_o scripture_n that_o occasion_v the_o doubt_n be_v 1._o pet._n 3.21_o the_o answer_n of_o a_o good_a conscience_n towards_o god_n by_o the_o resurrection_n of_o jesus_n christ_n it_o be_v by_o christ_n how_o depend_v it_o then_o on_o our_o obedience_n answ_n 1._o a_o good_a conscience_n do_v not_o depend_v upon_o our_o obedience_n as_o the_o principal_a cause_n of_o it_o but_o upon_o justification_n which_o we_o have_v by_o christ_n if_o we_o be_v in_o he_o rom._n 5.1_o be_v justify_v by_o faith_n we_o have_v shall_v seek_v for_o peace_n from_o our_o work_n and_o obedience_n alas_o they_o be_v sinful_a and_o defective_a there_o be_v no_o peace_n to_o be_v find_v in_o they_o our_o conscience_n will_v be_v trouble_v at_o our_o best_a duty_n at_o our_o weakness_n in_o prayer_n our_o frailty_n in_o hear_v our_o slip_n in_o every_o holy_a service_n there_o be_v nothing_o we_o do_v but_o our_o conscience_n may_v find_v fault_n with_o it_o and_o pick_v a_o hole_n in_o it_o and_o therefore_o we_o have_v need_v to_o fly_v unto_o christ_n for_o true_a peace_n no_o wonder_n then_o that_o papist_n have_v not_o true_a peace_n but_o profess_o say_v that_o every_o man_n must_v doubt_v and_o no_o man_n can_v be_v sure_a of_o his_o salvation_n they_o must_v needs_o doubt_v indeed_o who_o trust_n to_o their_o own_o work_n which_o can_v never_o bring_v true_a peace_n the_o conscience_n must_v ever_o be_v quarrel_v and_o find_v of_o fault_n and_o be_v without_o peace_n if_o we_o trust_v to_o the_o best_a work_n so_o that_o this_o be_v the_o first_o answer_n all_o true_a peace_n depend_v upon_o justification_n by_o faith_n in_o christ_n as_o the_o principal_a cause_n second_o we_o answer_v that_o our_o peace_n depend_v upon_o our_o obedience_n in_o this_o sort_n that_o we_o can_v have_v no_o peace_n except_o we_o be_v give_v to_o obedience_n those_o man_n that_o can_v sin_n and_o yet_o be_v at_o peace_n be_v never_o justify_v in_o their_o life_n a_o child_n of_o god_n when_o he_o sin_v as_o for_o example_n if_o he_o shall_v be_v tempt_v to_o lie_v or_o to_o omit_v a_o good_a duty_n which_o he_o know_v he_o be_v bind_v to_o perform_v yet_o this_o will_v much_o trouble_v his_o conscience_n his_o soul_n will_v be_v ashamed_a his_o heart_n perplex_v he_o will_v not_o know_v how_o to_o look_v the_o lord_n in_o the_o face_n i_o have_v sin_v what_o shall_v i_o do_v unto_o he_o o_o thou_o preserver_n of_o man_n when_o david_n have_v sin_v against_o god_n 38.6_o psal_n 38.6_o i_o hinder_v peace_n this_o be_v the_o first_o again_o our_o peace_n of_o conscience_n depend_v upon_o our_o obedience_n as_o the_o witness_v cause_n of_o it_o obedience_n be_v one_o of_o the_o witness_n of_o true_a peace_n it_o witness_v that_o we_o have_v peace_n with_o god_n 1.12_o 2._o cor._n 1.12_o this_o be_v our_o rejoice_v even_o the_o testimony_n of_o our_o conscience_n that_o in_o
