the_o holy_a ghost_n to_o take_v upon_o they_o that_o office_n to_o serve_v god_n for_o the_o promote_a his_o glory_n and_o the_o edify_n of_o his_o church_n to_o which_o each_o of_o they_o answer_n they_o will_v obey_v the_o godly_a admonition_n of_o their_o ordinary_n and_o other_o chief_a minister_n to_o who_o be_v commit_v the_o charge_n and_o government_n over_o they_o to_o all_o these_o they_o answer_v and_o promise_n they_o will_v so_o do_v the_o lord_n be_v their_o helper_n then_o be_v they_o by_o prayer_n and_o imposition_n of_o hand_n according_a to_o the_o apostolical_a rule_n and_o practice_n ordain_v into_o their_o respective_a function_n now_o judge_v what_o reason_n this_o bold_a man_n have_v to_o besplatter_v so_o wise_a and_o pious_a a_o constitution_n and_o by_o to_o i_o that_o they_o who_o make_v the_o efficacy_n of_o the_o divine_a ordinance_n to_o depend_v on_o the_o worthiness_n of_o the_o person_n concern_v 14._o in_o they_o be_v worse_o than_o the_o himself_o ready_a to_o do_v in_o the_o first_o notion_n it_o imply_v dominion_n and_o authority_n in_o those_o who_o we_o serve_v and_o a_o power_n to_o command_v and_o control_v and_o consequent_o require_v subjection_n and_o obedience_n in_o he_o that_o 1._o serve_v and_o in_o this_o notion_n also_o a_o minister_n be_v a_o servant_n but_o then_o it_o be_v to_o he_o who_o minister_n he_o be_v a_o minister_n of_o state_n be_v a_o servant_n but_o it_o be_v to_o the_o prince_n that_o employ_v he_o so_o a_o minister_n of_o religion_n be_v a_o servant_n yet_o not_o to_o the_o people_n but_o to_o god_n who_o ambassador_n he_o be_v the_o apostle_n be_v minister_n and_o do_v the_o people_n think_v they_o their_o servant_n the_o church_n be_v compare_v to_o a_o army_n and_o be_v the_o leader_n and_o officer_n in_o a_o army_n servants_z to_o the_o common_a soldier_n minister_n be_v by_o their_o office_n to_o direct_v and_o rebuke_v and_o if_o they_o be_v servant_n to_o the_o people_n will_v it_o become_v they_o so_o to_o do_v angel_n be_v minister_a spirit_n and_o be_v by_o god_n appoint_v to_o serve_v the_o necessity_n of_o the_o church_n this_o do_v not_o suppose_v to_o the_o people_n while_o if_o the_o author_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o the_o hat_n may_v be_v trust_v fox_n and_o other_o of_o they_o arrogate_a to_o themselves_o the_o ministerial_a function_n and_o power_n do_v crush_v the_o tender_a one_o as_o he_o term_v it_o p._n 12._o however_o you_o see_v the_o art_n t._n e._n and_o such_o as_o he_o make_v use_n of_o to_o encourage_v the_o people_n to_o contemn_v their_o lawful_a teacher_n and_o in_o the_o mean_a time_n as_o scrupulous_a as_o the_o quaker_n be_v to_o call_v any_o man_n master_n you_o see_v how_o they_o take_v upon_o they_o to_o be_v real_o so_o themselves_o do_v not_o this_o piece_n of_o ambition_n direct_o oppose_v the_o plain_a doctrine_n of_o holy_a scripture_n which_o say_v concern_v the_o relation_n of_o minister_n to_o the_o people_n that_o they_o be_v over_o they_o in_o the_o lord_n 1_o thess._n 5._o 12._o and_o so_o command_v they_o to_o esteem_v they_o very_o high_o v_o 13._o and_o again_o that_o they_o have_v the_o rule_n over_o they_o heb._n 13._o 17._o and_o command_v they_o to_o obey_v they_o and_o submit_v themselves_o etc._n etc._n and_o call_v they_o elsewhere_o 11._o teacher_n father_n and_o pastor_n but_o the_o quaker_n it_o 15_o seem_v be_v for_o invert_v this_o doctrine_n and_o make_v the_o hearer_n and_o learner_n a_o master_n over_o his_o teacher_n a_o son_n over_o the_o father_n and_o the_o flock_n over_o their_o shepherd_n now_o therefore_o to_o retort_v his_o own_o word_n p._n 29._o what_o i_o pray_v do_v this_o bespeak_v but_o pride_n and_o arrogance_n and_o as_o a_o little_a before_o be_v it_o the_o humble_a meek_a gentle_a spirit_n of_o jesus_n or_o the_o haughty_a proud_a exalt_a spirit_n of_o lucifer_n here_o you_o see_v the_o ill_a consequence_n of_o his_o not_o have_v enough_o against_o the_o clergy_n positive_o to_o accuse_v they_o of_o judges_z it_o needful_a here_o to_o supply_v that_o defect_n with_o fear_n and_o suspicion_n though_o both_o the_o
