to_o think_v that_o our_o common_a care_n of_o serve_v god_n and_o that_o moral_a virtue_n and_o civility_n be_v godliness_n but_o it_o be_v enough_o for_o you_o to_o know_v that_o the_o lord_n accept_v nothing_o but_o that_o which_o be_v more_o than_o nature_n that_o which_o himself_o have_v wrought_v in_o we_o by_o his_o holy_a spirit_n aristotle_n himself_o though_o a_o heathen_a man_n be_v able_a to_o say_v that_o natural_a virtue_n be_v very_a like_o the_o true_a they_o come_v so_o near_o it_o that_o there_o be_v nothing_o more_o like_a as_o virtue_n natural_a meekness_n will_v do_v as_o much_o as_o the_o best_a moral_a meekness_n nay_o as_o much_o as_o any_o spiritual_a meekness_n stupidity_n will_v do_v as_o much_o as_o christian_a courage_n and_o natural_a temperance_n show_n for_o some_o kind_n of_o performance_n may_v go_v as_o far_o as_o those_o that_o be_v spiritual_a but_o there_o be_v a_o great_a difference_n between_o they_o because_o the_o one_o sort_n proceed_v but_o from_o nature_n and_o they_o look_v but_o to_o a_o man_n self_n and_o you_o shall_v find_v they_o always_o have_v this_o property_n they_o be_v do_v without_o difficulty_n without_o may_v demand_v but_o how_o shall_v we_o do_v to_o get_v the_o spirit_n the_o apostle_n answer_v to_o this_o you_o must_v pray_v for_o he_o for_o yourselves_o as_o i_o do_v for_o you_o for_o i_o pray_v when_o a_o man_n be_v natural_o strong_a or_o able_a either_o in_o the_o part_n of_o his_o body_n or_o in_o the_o gift_n of_o his_o mind_n as_o for_o example_n a_o man_n that_o have_v a_o strong_a memory_n this_o be_v a_o natural_a strength_n or_o in_o other_o quality_n of_o the_o mind_n or_o else_o when_o a_o man_n be_v strong_a in_o the_o part_n of_o his_o body_n these_o be_v natural_a strength_n but_o this_o be_v not_o the_o strength_n that_o be_v here_o mean_v second_o there_o be_v a_o supernatural_a strength_n and_o this_o be_v two_o fold_n the_o first_o be_v a_o supernatural_a strength_n which_o be_v receive_v from_o the_o evil_a spirit_n which_o be_v when_o satan_n shall_v join_v with_o the_o spirit_n of_o a_o man_n and_o add_v a_o supernatural_a strength_n and_o so_o make_v he_o to_o do_v more_o or_o suffer_v more_o than_o otherwise_o by_o nature_n he_o be_v able_a to_o do_v with_o this_o spirit_n be_v all_o the_o enemy_n of_o the_o church_n strengthen_v paul_n himself_o before_o he_o be_v commit_v be_v strengthen_v by_o this_o spirit_n some_o man_n have_v more_o than_o a_o natural_a strength_n to_o undergo_v torment_n and_o yet_o not_o to_o shrink_v at_o strengthen_v that_o be_v this_o be_v the_o strength_n that_o eliah_n stephen_n john_n baptist_n the_o apostle_n and_o the_o rest_n have_v this_o make_v they_o speak_v bold_o in_o the_o name_n of_o they_o do_v not_o so_o burn_v in_o the_o spirit_n as_o other_o do_v it_o be_v not_o therefore_o good_a to_o conclude_v that_o it_o matter_n not_o whether_o you_o be_v zealous_a or_o no_o for_o howsoever_o it_o be_v true_a in_o he_o it_o may_v be_v false_a in_o thou_o and_o know_v also_o that_o this_o weakness_n be_v join_v with_o much_o holy_a zeal_n though_o it_o be_v not_o outward_o express_v for_o certain_o as_o where_o true_a fire_n be_v there_o be_v heat_n so_o where_o there_o be_v the_o spirit_n there_o be_v zeal_n therefore_o examine_v whether_o you_o have_v heat_n in_o you_o if_o you_o have_v not_o you_o have_v not_o the_o spirit_n the_o second_o sign_n whereby_o you_o shall_v know_v whether_o you_o sign_n have_v the_o sanctify_a spirit_n or_o no_o be_v this_o if_o you_o find_v that_o you_o be_v not_o only_o able_a to_o do_v more_o than_o you_o will_v natural_o do_v but_o you_o have_v also_o holiness_n join_v with_o it_o this_o sign_n i_o make_v of_o two_o
