whereat_o this_o holy_a affection_n aim_v and_o look_v be_v not_o present_v but_o to_o come_v and_o yet_o not_o any_o future_a thing_n but_o that_o which_o be_v good_a for_o not_o only_a hope_n but_o all_o other_o affection_n and_o the_o whole_a will_n of_o man_n yea_o even_o when_o they_o be_v sanctify_v and_o in_o their_o pure_a and_o holy_a estate_n do_v abhor_v and_o eschew_v all_o evil_a good_a use_v it_o as_o a_o mean_n way_n token_n or_o pledge_n of_o the_o general_a good_a and_o happiness_n yea_o further_o there_o be_v this_o difference_n that_o faith_n and_o hope_n do_v for_o love_n of_o the_o godly_a be_v a_o notable_a part_n and_o with_o the_o apostle_n 38._o rom._n 8._o 38._o i_o be_o persuade_v that_o neither_o death_n nor_o life_n neither_o angel_n nor_o lest_o he_o fall_v rather_o than_o to_o boast_v of_o the_o certainty_n of_o his_o salvation_n we_o answer_v that_o true_a regeneration_n be_v not_o so_o small_a a_o matter_n neither_o make_v so_o great_a a_o change_n in_o he_o as_o if_o the_o object_n do_v lay_v violent_a hand_n upon_o his_o mind_n in_o the_o which_o respect_n they_o be_v call_v passion_n of_o the_o mind_n and_o therefore_o be_v disclaim_v by_o those_o philosopher_n which_o profess_a constancy_n and_o exact_a virtue_n yet_o they_o contain_v in_o they_o a_o part_n of_o man_n holiness_n and_o of_o the_o image_n of_o god_n who_o can_v suffer_v and_o in_o who_o there_o be_v no_o shadow_n of_o change_n but_o thus_o it_o have_v please_v he_o to_o shadow_v out_o his_o own_o incomprehensible_a nature_n by_o the_o likeness_n of_o our_o nature_n resemble_v it_o as_o to_o the_o other_o faculty_n of_o the_o soul_n of_o man_n so_o also_o to_o these_o affection_n yea_o so_o that_o a_o great_a part_n of_o his_o glory_n reveal_v to_o his_o church_n consist_v in_o they_o for_o although_o he_o have_v manifest_v himself_o to_o the_o heathen_a in_o his_o wisdom_n and_o power_n shine_v in_o the_o creature_n yet_o in_o his_o
